Can't wait for the A Day in the Life of a Copywriter! And we're due a sassy and inspiring video like that one about getting said NO, which I watch EVERY.SINGLE.WEEK.
Great information! I had one freelancer provide me with someone’s copyright work and almost put my reputation in danger. We can never be too careful these days. Stay safe everyone 🥰.
Thank you so much for your videos. I have been so incredibly lost on how I can pursue a freelance career with something that I enjoy and was good at. I'm so grateful for the amazingly helpful content you put up. Thank you so very much!
Thanks for the tips. I experienced tips #6 a month ago. Trusted the employer who didn't want to sign a contract. Left my full time job to work for him. Then he ended the project over unreasonable reasons. Lesson learned hard!
One of those tips did happen, I did the work they sent payment asking me to forward the reminder too them, when the payment had cleared. My bank blocked the Cheque and the person never received the money they requested. The ad they did use though and said I did not fill their requirements. Red flags are not always easy too spot.
I never got paid for all what I did. Supposed to get $350 for posting ads and when payday came, nothing. This was helpful. Contractor never paid but I wasted some sleep 😴 time
99% sure my deal is fake because the client wants me to send half the money to his “contractor” luckily he made the mistake of texting me from a number from Nigeria 🇳🇬 while claiming to be located in Garland Texas. This lead me on this depressing rabbit hole. However, I’m just glad I learned about this and will proceed with the same level if not stricter caution from now on. I will not get scammed no way, no how.
Gawd, there are so many *** out there! Thanks for this list, it helps a lot ✨ So far, my worst client is someone I've been working with for the past three years. He's sort of a friend and I used to think I need him. He's horrible with paying on time, if he pays at all. I'm waiting for one last invoice to clear, then I'm setting better boundaries... or running for the hills, at long last 😅
I create RUclips accounts just to see what people post w/out having to subscribe to anyone because I don’t conform to anything because that’s what society expects from me-I t’s not my responsibility to live up to anyone’s expectations
I think we might like to see a video about all those scams that involve the budding copywriter sending money off for little benefit. "Join this organization, we'll send you a pretty ID card!" "Send us $2,000 each for these three courses, and we'll certify you as a Real Copywriter!" (I was in IT for 30 years. Do NOT get me started on the actual value of "certification".) "Learn how to write cold emails, and stack your funnels like a pro!" My favorite: "Buy our $2,500 course. In five weeks we'll teach you how to find clients, and give you a list of 2,000 potentials!!" You know, those scams.

@@AlexCattoni in freelancer platform when we selected for a project, they asking a security fee before starting our job. And that’s refundable when we submit our 1st work successfully. Can we trust them ?
Good question! I guess that depends on how much they've changed, and if you'd still like to work for said client. You could simply add a note onto the original SOW which states the changes that the client has requested, making sure to include that date, and note how the SOW changed in reflection to that (i.e. timeline, price, etc.)
I usually don't! Usually all the terms in the SOW are discussed beforehand, so you should already have a verbal agreement. The SOW is just "sealing" it, so to say.

Hey Alex, can a client ask you to pay refundable security deposit?
No, a client should never ask for a security deposit. That's a red flag for me!
