Macy is amazing. But Gary is just doing it for the money now. He literally doesn't take into consideration that Leah doesn't want Amber in her life. The child even gave reasons why...more than once! We all see that she's hurt & Gary literally keeps forcing her to have a relationship with Amber. She's a deadbeat & even Kristina talked & cried about it to Gary. Gary has acknowledged this many times before, so what good reason could he have for forcing the woman who clearly hates all her children, on Leah? Why force a known abuser on your child? Worst part is, he makes Leah do the work Amber is supposed to be doing. She'll definitely resent him for this & she'd be right to do so.

Amber has ruined her own relationship with Leah, she has always guilt trip her, abandon her, is extremely pushy and doesn't know limits. Leah is just growing up and getting tired with the same stuff, she realizes who is actually there for her.
Exactly amber thinks being there for Leah means “gift, expensive things, etc” when all Leah wants is her time

I was in Leah shoes growing up I haven’t talk to my birth mom in years she was never there for me but my step mom was my step mom help me out when I lost my job last year because of corona My step mom would come to my dance class and my brith mom would come up with excuse saying oh I can’t make it because I don’t fell like going
Like Leah said in the episode. Yeah her mom was there for her when she was little but she can’t remember that far back. All she remembers is when Christina came into her life and never left, never treated her as less than her own daughter, and tried to be just the bonus mom. But when Amber doesn’t show up being just the bonus mom isn’t enough anymore you gotta be the mom. Gary did an amazing job landing a woman like Christina. Smart, kind, beautiful, and above all else loves his daughter like he loves his daughter. Do you remember earlier in the season when they were going on a little trip and Amber surprised Leah by coming to? Am I the only one who thought that Leah didn’t look happy that her mom was coming on their trip too?
@@jadiequinnie8433 Facts, facts, facts, and yes!! When she saw her in the car her reaction was "why are you here?" Clearly she isn't comfy with her cause she knows how uncomfortable she makes everything and how she doesn't respect boundaries.

Gary has been a damn good father, and picked a sweet, mature, emotionally stable woman to share his life with. He's come a long way.
Ryan's still mad cause he thought maci couldn't make it without him . He thought she'd fail at being a mother and instead she's excelled.
Amber doesn't want a Daughter, she wants a friend. Leah is pretty much grown and doesn't really need to be watched so closely. So, now Amber wants to be Super Mom. Leah has made it this far without her, just leave the poor girl alone. She is a happy and well adjusted young lady.

Amber is damn lucky Kristina entered Leah's life and filled the mom role for her.
If she really wants to be Leah's mom she needs to understand that being a mom is more than going shopping and hanging out.
I know right. Let Leah stay with her for a week. Take her school, fix breakfast/dinner, wash her clothes, help with homework, chauffeur to extra activities. Amber has no freakin clue what it's like being a full time mom. She should be taking christina out and giving her flowers.

Amber is a piece of work. It’s never her fault, she’s always getting into trouble with the law, and she puts men first. Of course Leah will pick up on that. Kids are more observant than we give them credit for.

I am so glad Mackenzie is intervening early. Bronx is going to be so much better because she realized that Bronx is going through something that she needs help with. Josh's response that he'll grow out of it is unfortunately a very common reaction. Good for Mackenzie to go ahead any way. Josh only shows back up when it's convenient any way and her kid needs help now.
Doesn't help his dad is so unreliable. If he's on the spectrum, which I believe he is, things will be much tougher on him without a consistent environment.

@Songbird it is not Maci’s fault that Ryan is an addict and has created situations that Maci can’t ignore. Ryan is the addict here, him and his family cause most of the issues that Bentley is facing. Kids are smart, they notice things, like their Dad being on heroine. She is doing the best she can to navigate him through these situations that she has no control over.
It’s too bad Jen and Larry destroyed their relationship with Macy.
such a blessing for Macy though. they’re AS problematic, i’d argue even more so, than Ryan. who is in addictive opiate addiction. i was addicted to heroin for five years and have three years sober and two young toddlers. I can spot it a mile away. I understand trauma and mental health issues and having no coping skills & how that leads to numbing yourself with a substance, but statistically more than 97% of addicts never get sober. from experience, you reach a place when you decide you’re done & it’s taken me 3 years to dig myself out of the hole I was in.
but worse than the deadbeat addict, are the enabling parents who are third party abusing bentley by encouraging and defending ryan. jen & larry are sick. they can’t pick their innocent grandson over their deadbeat loser son?

@@mbalim9527 right there with you. Do they not realize Bentley with see these videos that show how horrible they have been to his mom. And how they take a word of and addict rather someone who is sober. It breaks my heat for him. Kids pick up on that stuff more than we think. My girls as they got older asked why I never talked bad about their dad. (In front of them) I told them he’s still your dad and I wanted you to come to your own conclusion on how you felt about him.
Well with all the stress Ryan gives his parents i’m sure they dont even know whos side to take or what to do anymore
Aww seeing Kristina's younger daughter give her a hug while she was crying made my heart melt.. No matter how upset I am one look at my son and I instantly feel better.. Motherhood is a different kind of love 💘 Hopefully Amber one day will accept Leah's feelings towards her instead of invalidating them so they could get to a better place.. I know it's hard to admit our wrongs but if we as adults can't admit them and grow from them what kind of example are we setting for our kids future generations..
I’m glad my baby girl will always love me and see her dad for what he really is. I didn’t have to bad mouth him, his actions spoke for themselves. And for that, I am grateful because only she knows what I do for her and how much I love her. 👌
My son is only 15 months but he always knows when I’m upset, I’m pregnant with my second so I cry a lot at the minute for no reason haha, it’s just like a connection I can’t explain, he knows how I’m feeling and I know how he’s feeling, it’s amazing I didn’t know that bond was possible until I had him. I can’t understand why people like Amber won’t just step up for their kids

I just cried seeing Bently !!! He’s a whole like adult. I grew up watching Teen Mom and having been watching it so much the last few years. But wow, how everyone has grown so much.

Did Amber really just say "I'm priority", when this is about Leah? You know, the child who is supposed to come first at all times. I'm just tired of hearing her talk about everything from her perspective. It's always I feel this, I don't want to do that, She needs Leah to understand HER. Then gets upset when people are honest and call her out on it. I'm glad that Leah is taking her stand and sticking to it. Not many kids have the confidence to stand up to and not accept the behavior of an absentee parent so I respect her for it. If Amber wants a relationship with her daughter, it's time to put herself second, and work for it.
I personally do not think “the child is supposed to come first at all times.” I believe you need to put yourself first before you can give to others, even with children involved. Howeverrrrrr, Amber takes it to a whole other level.

@@Mariahdalylah sure...I can see where you're coming from if it's a nuclear family where the parents are around constantly. But this doesn't apply to Amber. She and Gary should be discussing what's best for Leah, not what Amber wants and needs when she decides to show up for Leah.

Jada talked about this EXACT same thing on Red Table Talk as a wife and mother you have to be selfish for self to take care of other people, HOWEVER Jada is a full time mother and wife, Amber is not. So I agree this definitely does NOT apply to her. Unfortunately her son will go through the same thing as Leah when he gets older smh. 😕
Gary needs to stop trying to force Leah to have a relationship with her "mom" because he has a relationship with her. It’s clear she doesn’t want to have a relationship with Leah and Leah knows that.

Amber reminds me of my cousin, every time she gets a new girlfriend she pushes her daughter to the side, it’s so disappointing and heartbreaking to see.

Maci & Gary both blessed with such wonderful spouses helping out with kids that ain’t their blood but do all they can to help out! More then the real parents ever would.

Amber will forever be a victim that will never change. At some point if she wants to have a relationship with her daughter she needs to accept responsibility for her part in the break down in the relationship and be thankful every single day for Kristina.

She did have a traumatizing childhood so this plays a part in her adulthood. I think the neglect she faced growing up shows in her parenting abilities.

@@jazzyj6640 Gary also had a bad mom bad childhood (from what I understood she was AMBER) and he wanted his kid to have a different upbringing he had so he changed the narrative and become the best dad he could to always be there for her to provide stability someone who chose you no matter what why.When you have something you don’t like from how you grow up you have 2 choices,to learn from that what not to do and chose to world that or you can do the same and give the excuse that’s all you know
@@jazzyj6640 I disagree with you. My mom and her siblings had a horrible childhood. There was physical and emotional abuse and abandonment. My mom had 2 kids by the time she was 19. She broke the cycle and is a phenomenal mother. Her other siblings are also good parents. Amber chooses to play the victim.

Kristina has been a great step mother for Leah. She’s doing everything Amber should be doing. I understand that Amber has a lot of mental health issues but she keeps hurting that precious child.

Kristina is a roll model step mom. Bravo to her 👏. My kids step mom made it her goal to make sure my kids were treated less-than at "her" house & their father allowed it. They are adults now but that rejection leaves a mark.

Bentley and Leah are true testaments to what support, love, and therapeutic advice can do for a child. They are both going through difficult times in their lives, but the way they seem to be handling it is very mature. I believe Maci/Taylor and Gary/Kristina have taken full advantage of the positives this show likely brought them, which is money, access to good therapeutic advice, and very likely good legal advice. A lot of parents out in the world have no idea how, or no way in general, to access those services, but they make a world of difference. I feel like that is what we see in Bentley and Leah, along with having the great support of one bio parent and one bonus parent.
He’s not fooling anyone. Ryan is on drugs still. And after seeing amber on the reunion, I’m questioning her sobriety too

I used to not be a gary fan but what him and his wife are doing for leah..they have a family and stability. It's great.

I see a lot of ppl saying “this show doesn’t need amber” but it does!!! Showing the audience that not all moms are perfect is necessary so that you can see the healthy supportive loving moms. If we only see positive things then ppl won’t hardship and how to overcome.

I think the show should stop filming the kids now tbh there so big now they deserve some privacy its not their fault their mums were teens they shouldn't have to have their whole childhood filmed especially with parents like Ryan. I hope they drop filming once before these kids are teens no teen wants their mum and dad's drama all over TV and RUclips.
They don't have to film and the parents can refuse another season. But it's probably a large amount of their income so they keep coming back.

I agree that's when I will give Maci and Gary a pat on the back when they stop exploiting the kids pain for financial means. You should have enough saved, or residual means to earn a living, or it's time to go back to work. Bentley and Leah look stressed the hell out.
