- This song was written by Canadian Bob Nolan who of course, also wrote other western classics such as 'Cool Water', 'Tumbling Tumbleweeds', 'Way Out There', 'Song Of The Bandit and 'Trail Dreamin' all recorded by Marty during his career. Marty got to duet with Bob on his last album 'Sound Of A Pioneer' and it was a meeting of the two greatest western songwriters of all. Marty sang harmony on 'Man Walks Among Us' which Bob described as one of the greatest nature songs ever. Coming from the writer of 'Cool Water' that was certainly some compliment for Marty who himself was a big fan of Bob Nolan and the Sons Of The Pioneers.
This song recorded in 1960 was probably meant for inclusion on 'More Gunfighter Ballads And Trail Songs', but missed out and thanks to Bear Family Records of Germany it did eventually appear on disc.
I'm 3 days late for Marty's 84th birthday, but I hadn't forgotten. September 26 is forever etched in my brain as the date of birth of one of the greatest singers the world has ever known. Видеоклипы
