  • An unreleased gem from Marty which was first released on the 'Lost And Found' album which was released in 1994. Marty never lost his knack for writing songs of the highest quality all throughout his career.
I believe the fiddle player is Buddy Spicher although I could be wrong.

There may be talented singers out there somewhere, but I don't listen to them. I am hooked on the songs of the 50's and 60's. There will never be another singer like Marty Robbins who in my opinion is the BEST of the BEST. Enjoy all his songs because there is such emotion in his voice when he sings!

Just a few months ago I heard $20.Jim reminded me of MY JIM I lost in 2009, he use to drink A lot.
I think this is A very sad song.
But Marty does A wonderful job.
I don't think I've ever heard a bad song he sings.I never listen to the so called music they call country now a days.I only listen to classic country,on u tube .thank you u tube, for providing this great music we listen too.

I had the pleasure of seeing this man sing in my home city of Melbourne in Australia, long time ago, I'd loved his music since I was a kid, he didn't disappoint either, when you can see someone who creates a love of a genre of music that effects you so much that I had and have still, well it is something very special , hard to put into words . But I've listened to this fellow, since I first heard him when I was about 10 years old.

A lot of Martin's songs were filled with names of his relation......from his childhood in Arizona.....Cigarettes and Coffee Blues.....his sis, Lillie told me that song was about their mother when their dad left.....makes me want to go through all my correspondence from her and 'relive' a wonderful era in country music when the singers could actually sing because they had talent....Martin was the best.

Jim is the name of the person in the song. Marty had a liking for the name 'Jim' or 'Jimmy' as in his songs 'Jimmy Martinez', 'Jimmy And Me' and the lyric in 'The Cowboy In TheContinental Suit' which goes 'I turned around to look at Jim and he was watching me.'
