This is probably the most lord accurate sim. Grunts alone aren’t much of a threat but add a few more and they become mighty. The Grunt Rebellion nearly ended the Covenant seeing the grunts win here is nice. Those lucky nades really make the difference between a close fight or a clean sweep.
What I like about the grunt ultras is they really get the most out of their weapons. That full auto fire with the plasma pistol is devastating, the grenades are pinpoint, and you really get the sense that you've underestimated the little guys as the ones who have survived long enough to actually get good with their weapons use them with a proficiency that would put a spec ops elite to shame.

Idk why but it literally never crossed my mind in Halo 2 to give a grunt an energy sword lol. I'd sometimes give them plasa rifles but not energy swords
Damm the grunts are a lot deadlier than I expected, I did not expect that outcome, that was badass when that grunt jump over his squad to kill that gold elite 🔥🔥🔥🔥
what i find interesting is Bungie was likely aware of these kinds of outcomes especially in the later levels of halo 2 where they give you many elite allies and had to balance the levels aroound them, how many, what gear they spawn with and where etc.
They need to bring back Grunt Dopey. One of my favorite moments in Halo was when a grunt saw the Chief and unimpressed said "wow so thats how they look like?"
