He can't handle the ball. At least he's not going to be able to handle the ball at the NBA level. That's an issue for a guard. I like him, but I don't like him and number three and as a rockets fan that's where I'm seeing him mocked often
@@cheyenne11114 he can’t handle the ball? How can you say that when it’s not like he ever averaged a lot of turnovers. If anything he averaged a bunch of steals which makes him great with the ball. He could steal run up the court and yam it. So to say he can’t handle the ball as a Kentucky fan I seen almost every game last season and he can was number 1 with and without the ball. A+ stealer and A+ ball handler. He’s not going number 3 to Houston. If he don’t go number 1 or 2 like he is being projected he’s 100 percent going to spurs and then spurs have a second top ten pick at I think 7 or 8 and they will pick up dillingham. Either dillingham or Sheppard is going to spurs 100 percent. A lot of people are putting Sheppard at number 1 which is crazy if he actually goes number 1. CRAZY!!!!!!!

Reed had a tremendous steal where he picked the pocket of a guy who was clearly not an NBA talent and smaller than him and then drove to his basket one-on-one with that guy guarding him. He made a ridiculously slow non fluid move and got to the basket and scored. That s*** is not happening in the NBA. He will not be able to handle the ball in traffic consistently in the NBA. Nor will he be able to distribute consistently. Not having these two attributes at 6'3 is a serious issue. He is much closer to Joe Harris then he is donte divincenzo from that standpoint. I understand he can jump and he's an excellent shooter. But you can't take a 6'3 guy that won't be able to distribute, get his own shot regularly, or handle the ball in traffic at number 3

@@cheyenne11114 well good thing he's the off ball guard (2-guard) and his ball handling is fair for the SG. Not everybody has crazy handles, it often slows down the teams offensive motion/flow
He jumps very well, and I am a huge fan; he is not explosively quick but I think he will be an all star

He means that he can't handle the ball or do stuff off the dribble at a high level and that's absolutely true. He doesn't look fluid doing that in college, he's going to look way out of place trying to do any of that in the pros.
