    A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you. -Matthew 12:35-37

      Your video proves you never did any research on Lonzo Ball. Go view his highlights at UCLA and you will see why they called him Steph with a 40 inch vertical. Lonzo averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assist at his 1 season at UCLA where he took 7 3-pointers a game and made 42.4% and was the top 3 point shooter in his draft class. His changed his shooting form at the NBA level but he took more than 4 and he was hitting them at 1/2 court. He also had some phenomenal dunks at UCLA. He was the most athletic Ball brother. How is it Reed, who took 3 less 3 pointers than Ball, average less points, is only 6 '2 to Balls 6'6 destined to be the next Steph? If you use Lonzo's college stats as a barometer, he was more in line with becoming Steph than this guy.

      @@garygary9993 Zo's shooting form was criticized but he came out of UCLA as the top shooting guard in the draft shooting at 42% on a high volume. So the form was criticized but the results were not impacted. That's why there is a difference between he and Ben Simmons. Ben never made them in college so his transition is much harder than Zo who was already use to seeing the ball go in the basket at the 3. When Zo changed his form in the NBA, he was effective at hitting them.

    Anyone who says he’s too small and “lacks athleticism” is hilarious.
    He can really shoot, we all know that. That is something that translates extremely well to the NBA. Especially this era of shooting.
    He’s not an elite one on one defender, but has tremendous hands/anticipation which results in STEALS. That’s valuable. He’s essentially John Stockton on defense.
    Chris Paul wasn’t athletic either and is 5’11 without shoes. Yet he ended up a 7x All-First Team defender and was a tremendous passer/led the league in steals multiple times. Despite not great athleticism and being small.
    Why? Because of his super high basketball IQ. I’m not saying Reed is going to be Chris Paul, or Stockton, of course not.
    But the BB IQ he’s displayed, the talent in steals and defensive anticipation he’s displayed, and the SHOOTING he’s displayed….as a true FRESHMAN?!?!
    The potential is certainly there. And those dogging him for being small and lacking elite athleticism are making the same exact mistake those idiots made by doubting Luka Doncic for his lack of athleticism and lack of defense.
    In this weak draft class, Reed is gonna be one of the future all-stars (maybe the only one) to come out of it.

    I am not sold on this guy at all. I think the system at Kentucky was the primary reason that he excelled. He is smart but I think he is a system player perfect for the college and play-driven system. Able to grasp a system and read it so he was good at exploiting this system against college athletes but doing that in the NBA is a different story where it is more one-on-one and players are not going to give him those same wide-open looks at the basket. I don't see the range on his shot that Step Curry naturally possesses. Stephen Curry's release is much faster and when you really play him up close he can't create in one-on-one situations as proven in the NCAA tournament when he only scored 3 pts. Guys really guard you up closer in the NBA, especially off the bounce the competition is not college-level talent. His athletic ability is jumping off one leg. The truth of the matter most athletic plays are done off of two legs except for maybe run-outs or running jumps which don't happen that much in half-court sets. He is not a leaper and even the 42-inch verticle which I find very hard to believe was off one leg. His T-rex-type arms will be a size mismatch against the longer more true athletic ability of NBA players especially for someone who measures 6'1.75" and gives him 6'3.25" in shoes. Also, those frequent steals will not happen at the NBA especially not with any regularity of the college game. Why? The NBA guards are better ball handlers and there is more spacing which makes it harder to get in passing lanes, especially with those t rex arms he has. Anyway, he was a high steals guy playing on-ball defense at the college level but college guards are not the depth ball handers that the NBA possesses. My prediction is he can be another TJ McConnel at best or out of the league after his first contract is up.

      @BrianLawrence-vk3pu 3 месяца назад +1

      Arm trick, huh? He should, at minimum, either receive credit for his smarts if he truly did find some new way to cheat the system or his athleticism. Maybe he did use some new method that NO ONE else did, or maybe 🤔 he is just a great leaper. If he did cheat (which you are suggesting), he still tied for tops in the entire combine. Take the numbers out. He was still tied for FIRST place with every participant this year.

    • @BrianLawrence-vk3pu
      @BrianLawrence-vk3pu 3 месяца назад +1

      My point is not whether he did it or not. My argument is everyone does it. If everyone does it and he still was the best, what does it matter? So he gained and inch or two. Maybe his vert is 40 or 41 rather than 42. He was tops in this class. The BEST in '24 draft class (albeit a couple others tied). There is no way to accurately test any of these things. People find ways to manipulate tests. But they all do it. For the NFL combine, one guy has shorter arms and a barrel shaped chest and he does puts up 42 reps at 225. The next guy has a wingspan 8" longer and a flatter chest and he does 225 only 36 times. Is the first guy that much stronger than the second or did he just have advantages due to the laws of physics? All combine participants are measured in various areas. Often I hear "well yes but he way injured at the time and wasn't 100%" or "he hasn't been able to work out due to and injury." But had never heard before that and individual gained an advantage by using a trick. Trick must be another way of saying he followed the rules and someone didn't like the results. Because if he had cheated he would have been disqualified for that jump.

      Some did it in the past? Does that mean he was the only one to do it in '24 or just the only one to admit it? Maybe he just has more integrity. Admitting something that is either allowed or not detectable given the current grading system.
      We have the ability through GPS to measure altitude difference. The simplest solution is allow a computer to measure the altitude change on the heels of the feet. You start from the floor and measure to the apex. The height you can reach with a fingertip is affected by many variables such as flexibility. These other variables can skew the test. Bottom line, he measured 42" and NO ONE beat him in this class.

      Lonzo was almost entirely and on ball scorer who utilized one on one isolation heavily. Reed primarily operates off ball and his on ball creation mostly comes from the pick and roll.
