I've really been enjoying your starting class vids, I first discovered your channel through your strength builds video, and now the executioner greataxe is my new favorite weapon.
Rosus is a interesting choice for this, I was expecting a shouty Highland Axe build, but this one also seems pretty fun
It was between Stormhawk and Rosus, for me, and I already have a Stormhawk build planned in the future. I actually really want to do a roar strength build at some point though. Thanks for watching!
@ThingfishyGaming Executioner's Greataxe with offhand highland axe, roar medallion and axe talisman is a disgusting build.
Even at +3 I was doing over 1000 damage with a charged R2 😆
@@bettywhite2694 I used this with crescent moon axe because I find it to be the sexiest greataxe and yeah it's so goddamn fun
@@ThingfishyGaming for the roar build i highly recommend using frost or bleed infusion. as fully charged roar heavies do 2.5-3x status buildup. for example a fully charged roar heavy on cold guts greatsword will proc frost in one hit against draconic tree sentinel
@pafunciobatista8244 Executioner's has that sexy crit multiplier tho. Fully charged heavy into a crit means huuuuuge damage

I’ve watched so many of these videos. Such good fun theorycrafting builds, love the use of the Rosus’s axe too. Very cool concept that doesn’t really work in the other attempts. Glaring at you Tibia Summons. Also, have you ever thought of grabbing the other gold pickled foot by the starting grace and popping it just after the cavalry falls off the bridge behind you? Get another couple of levels that way

I'd love to see you make a video around some of the more whacky weapons in the game. I've been messing around with the Envoys Long Horn the past few days and I can say wholeheartedly that I think it surpasses pest threads as the best way to deal with big enemys like fire giant or placidusax and would love to see what you could do with it. Top tier video as always from my favourite elden ring content creator
I have done a good amount of the somber weapons, envoy horn is still on my list though I already have the build planned out, just need to do the playthrough.

Btw if you kill Alexander in Farum Azulla, you get Shard of Alexander, which is slightly better than the Warrior Jar Shard

Probably my favorite class to start with. I rarely change initial setup, I like “role playing” as the class I pick on each playthrough and never change weapons nor equipment (rarely level up either). The Hero is just fantastic.

Thought you might choose a strength build with the Warped Axe. But then it would probably have gotten kind of samey. Cragblade, parries and chargies is something you've demonstrated several times so I'm glad you went a different way.
I actually wanna try the warped axe. Maybe with a roar build at some point. Yeah, this series has two parry/chargies/cragblade strength builds, so didn't wanna go that route with hero (even if it would arguably be better). Thanks for watching, as always, Ron!
@@ThingfishyGaming I doubt you'll be disappointed when you try the warped axe. Reasonably fast and great strength scaling. It's a great place to start.
The quitting out in the corner doesn’t work I’ve tried quitting back to main screen. I’ve even tried closing the game it doesn’t work.

Video/post 1 of asking for a "PC glitch"-less, offline and not too hard other glitches series after the starter class series on all the other souls games (including ds3 again).
I used rosus' axe in my last playthrough which was an axe only run, super fun and with 65 int i think i got to i could one shot people in pvp

Im new to the game, how does he use retaliation thing and on the same time ashes of war on the weapon? for me its either or i cant use both, there is only one key for it?

Thanks, Smaug. Playing on PC. 13700k, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5. Game graphics all at max, but without Ray Tracing. I also use Reshade for a colour boost (fakehdr setting with a little boost in brightness). On some vids I also have a mod that increases draw distance and far away textures, but I forget to turn it on most of the time. Thanks for watching!

Hey man!! I was thinking would it be possible to duplicate a save file? This way you can skip the whole getting started guide
Depends what platform you're on. On PS5, I know its not possible. Although strangely you can on PS4 (usb stick). On PC its easy (i have a few saved characters with set up done and ready to go - or you can just cheat all the items in). Wouldn't have a clue about Xbox, I'm afraid.
@@ThingfishyGaming something else, the deathrite bird cheese in caelid could make big dragon farm faster with the death's poker and torch to reset frostbite stacks, I tested it yesterday and it was pretty darn good
@@arnauhernandez5228 Using black flame tornado on the Godskin peeler is the fastest method I think.
Imo I am not a fan of class specific builds as they tend to be unoptimal though it depends on the stat spread but in this case astrologer would be the optimal class to start with.
Bro go touch grass not everything has to be "optimal" unless you're a pvp sweat lord.

Hmmm, of the top of my head I'd go Death Poker > Moonlight Greatsword > Star Fist > Wing Of Astel > Executioner's Greataxe. But there's probably some I'm forgetting. There's certainly some spells that would fit in there also. Might do a ranking Vid before DLC if I have time.

How To Make An OP Hero (for me):
1. Pick Hero class
2. Get Rusted Anchor
3. Get Wild Strikes AoW
4. Equip Wild Strikes on Rusted Anchor and choose Heavy affinity
5. Profit
HOLD ON... Did you do this entire run/video with 9 dex? The Axe needs 10 dex, that's why your attack damage is so low, 421 at level 93. With one point in Dexterity, you would be at 701 attack.
I was just building for this weapon, and now I want to do it even more. Wow!

Completely ballsed up the Godskin Duo sleep strategy, using up all my Trina's lilies in two attempts. Spent a while trying to get some more but thought I'd give it a go just using ancient dragon lightning strike straight up. Four tries! Next up, the inevitable 20 hours trying to kill Malekith 🤣

The axe requires 18 intelligence to properly use
