When I was a child, everything came to a halt if my siblings and I knew little Miss Shirley Temple was on TV. I’m 71 now, and the love affair is still alive and strong. So many wonderful memories seeing her movies invoke. She brought so much whimsy and happiness. ✨💖✨

She was a trustee at my undergraduate college, the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA. As a member of the Alumni Board, I had the pleasure of both meeting and introducing her before her short presentation at an annual Crystal Ball fundraiser. A most gracious, talented and fascinating woman. Her stories about early Hollywood were priceless.

I don't think there was a child actress or actor more talented than Shirley Temple to this day. Shirley, that little girl could mix it up with any Actor or Actress of any age she can do everthing. Love ❤️ you Shirley, RIP.

Shirley Temple Black was still beautiful up until she died. I miss her. It felt like the rug was pulled under our feet when she left this world. The world is not alright since she's been gone.

Would it have broken their heart to give her a full sized Oscar to go with the junior model? If they're going to give Oscars to lightweights like Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock and Penelope Cruz, they could give Shirley one for her contribution to the industry.

She grew up so classy. Sadly all of her hard earned money was stolen by her own parents. (She made over 2million back in the 30’s) and her mother got paid over 1k a week just to sit on set. SMH it breaks my heart for her as well as a lot of children actors back in the day. I heard that she and Jackie Cooper were able to make laws in place to prevent other children suffer from loss of money. What’s more sad that there will never be another child actor as wonderful and talented as her

It's a darn shame because they rarely in those days and before rarely gave a standing ovation. In today's time if you did not get a standing ovation. I would think there was something wrong.
