Can someone please tell me why RUclipsrs and reviewers never give the freaking price. Why do they always have to give us the run around saying "it's expensive" and "it's cheaper". I just want a number.
From personal experience I find quoting a price bites you on the ass as they change all the time-and someone pre Relase products you don't always know the prices
@@TomleyRC I think reducing the costs were at the top of their priorities. So, if the previous tires endured abuse... Most owners of this will probably haven't had any previous experience with these type of RCs and won't be too bothered... Until they actually try a nice one, and then either get tires and dampers, or ditch this completely. 😬
The boxes are always generic, that's why there is no upc. There are multiple trim levels the SELLER can order. The model number probably is not the same (which is what the box says). SG is usually the cheaper version. Hbx or ZD etc being the. high end
For me in the states, a base Slash 4x4 is $70 less at 299. The Slash 4x4 VXL is only a bit more than this at 399. Plus there's hobby shops all over the place that stock almost every part you could need for a Slash. My local shop even stocks a bunch of RPM parts for Traxxas. The ease of getting replacement parts is the main reason why I still pay for the name brands.
While I have Traxxas and a ton of Chinese RCs. I've never had problems getting parts for Chinese RCs. But, this right here is ridiculously priced. The cheaper version he's talking about is more expensive than the really nice upgraded version on Banggood. It's just doesn't make sense to me.
But comparing this to a Slash is a bit off, closest thing to it in 1/10 scale is the Losi Baja Rey and that thing is amazing but also VERY expensive for 1/10
I consider the Slash as the standard 1/10 truck. I bought one just to test it against my super upgraded Nikko Dictator. The Nikko wins everything except durability 😅
@@MustangsCanTurnToo Omg. I had a Savage Dictator as a kid and was in love with that little 4.8v beast. Lol. The Slash is but it has the typical short course double wishbone suspension which is why I kinda separate it off from this but it is a pretty nerdy distinction to make. Lol
I am passionate about short courses and this one looks very nice. I believe that the reference model by size and characteristics is the Losi Baja Rey, I have one and I love it just like my UDR. The Baja Rey once you tune up the damping and change the tires (I'm wearing Louise Uphill) it runs great and is incredibly reliable. The most reliable of the cars I have. It's not cheap but it's worth every single one of the €529 it costs here. The 1002 S is €345 but even though it is an important difference, I would not change it for the reputed quality of Losi. Honestly by design this is one of the best car set ups I've ever seen it's more realistic to me and that allows me to have more fun but some may have their own opinions but it looks fun minus the tires lol
It's all preference for the driver. Personally, I run a spool which is 100% locked. Guys like Harley Letner and Robbie Gordon use a clutch pack style limited slip differential. Some guys use wavetrac, some guys even use an air locker still which is what I used to have in my truck before I upgraded. BTW that pinion angle would NEVER work on a full size truck. You have to find a happy medium between full droop and full bump or "compression"
Yep, spool and an Evan Weller third member for me. Though next year we're going with a fortin or gear vendors under drive to drop ratios and get a little more tooth engagement from the pinion.

That needs some work like most. Trailing arm trucks are a different animal. Need power up your sleave in the corners. There is a thing called to much traction with them also. But be weary of the massive weight transfer they have. I love them. Have udr, twin hammers, yeti, bomber and baja rey.
A lot of shade being thrown at the little guy but it looks great. With a few upgrades (that most will do anyways) it’s probably on par with about everything else.
Yeah, I think for companies putting out competing cars with the big guys they are going to have to provide something at par or better for the money just to break into the market. They are also competeing against the name brands with people like me who often go the 2nd hand route (at least when the prices are a bit more sane).
G’day Phil, this truck looks alright. You just need new wheels on it and some oil for the shocks. That should help it. Love the show Phil, keep up the good work. 🤓🇦🇺
Interesting rig, I didn’t notice with the first video but I have a UDI racing desert racer which is a ssv version of this, same layout, same hard tyres same difficulty controlling it until I realised it has stability control, which I turned off, handles way better now.

Good for you giving a real honest review. If a none RC car expert parent is buying an RC car for their child as a present they don’t want to have the bad experience of a an impossible to control car which doesn’t live up to the speeds which the box claims.
I think its good starting point at least for me who doesn't want to spend alot of money for this hobby, i would later upgrade the suspension and it'll run way better. I always love throphy truck style rc but they're so expensive, I'll take this as consideration. Thanks for for this video

Ouch! Looked undriveable on ALL surfaces, has a turning radius worse than a public bus. Banggood's Monday morning staff meeting: "ok guys, back to the drawing board...AGAIN!"
It has potential for sure. But wow those tires are terrible. Shocks probably need a rebuild with green slime to keep them from leaking, new oil, maybe springs. Put Senton tires or Slash tires on it. Or maybe, a "Make this bad truck good," episode. I would like to see you unlock the trucks potential.
The sliding around on pavement might seem annoying but it's better than traction rolling, which is all the UDR does.
yeah, I guess lol
On the advert page it says it has a gyro, Shirley that means it shouldn’t slide around so much, or it can be adjusted?
The rear axels on trophy trucks or stadium trucks or whatever you call them, they're always locked. So technically this one is more realistic.
