This is what I have in the Pete I drive. Love cat motors. 600hp twin turbo. I was in a western star before this with cat 475 hp and it pulled everything. It had 700,000 miles and pulled 150,000 lbs loads with the lowbed. My boss had even more weight on it. This 600hp is insane though. I feel like it will drag a house when I’m driving. It pulls hills at 100,000 lbs like you are empty.
That kind of power needs some serious weight behind it to really make it grunt! I drive a 550 C-15 MBN single-turbo pulling around 130,000 gross on B-trains and she just screams and begs for more!
Jason Struck that’s right Catapillar is the shit it’s one pulling sum bitch it will see you through a shit storm all those other rigs might pass you on flat ground but in a hill the cat can’t be fucked with if a cat breaks down you did something wrong
Deive a day cab 2004 379 w a c15 engine. 575 hp one though but stilk powerful. I accidentally loaded 93,000 lbs of 2x6’s on our 16,000 lb flatbed. It pulled it well though. My boss almost fired me haha. 123,000 lbs. My boss was like, you were 40,000 lbs overweight!!!!
no that engine is huge you can repower a d11 with a c-27 if you want a good pulling motor run a 3406 or a 3408 cat it is a v8 that'll fit under the hood of a Pete and that's a f****** Workhorse but they're known for breaking cranks work on trucks for a living doing this for 18 years
6.7 scorpion That is the only type of twin turbo Cat made for their 15L engines. They made an 18L bi-turbo, but not the same configuration as the 15.2L ACERT engines.
you keep coming off of the fuel that quick and you will end up messing up that engine... those turbos were meant to be spooled up and down slowly... that is a lazy floaters engine not a quick shifter
Ryan Dunne lol I was gonna say the same. I’m almost that much empty. I thought it said 55 psi boost. But 55k is pretty much empty. Love it though. Makes me want to throttle all the times just to hear the thing spool. My boss said he’s going to Change it to one huge single turbo when one of the turbos crap out. Gonna be crazy. Same power though.
@@CBooge2 3408s are garbage. Hence why they don't make them anymore. That's where the c18 came from. 08s never had a jake, and had many crankshaft issues. Look and tell me how many 08s are in pulling competition. Dominated by E9s, K19s/Qsk, and 3406.

Golden words
*laughs in detroit deisel*
Im hauling 105k in the 2008 kenworth t800 dump truck and pup, damn that twin turbo c15 hits it hard i love taking off hearing the turbo whistling
Awesome... Reminds me I rode with my dad back in the day. Motor is sweet.
Still running my C15 twin turbo I really enjoy life on the hammer down lane
That much kitty cat needs a whole lot more weight to really start singing! That little ol load didn't even make her break a sweat!
An old timer one told me, "That old girl can pull a block of ice through hell and back before it melts".
Love Cat power !
Kyle
Thoes Twins sounds so gòod!!!
Was that a Western Star 6900 off the side of the road?
Sounds awesome.

Holy Turbo!
You never hear the o.g. truckers talking about anything other than caterpillar.

No sir, this is a 2006 367. Even google it if ya have to.
Are they twins or compounds
sounds sexy. What rig did you guys haul?
im looking for a heavy duty engine with the power of a c-27, do you think the c27 would fit in a peterbilt 379

I see VDM's Clark bed just hanging out and catching some mountain air!
Hi,

Ryan Dunne Yeah, its a wrecker the thing weighs 45k on its own

NYC XN40 ZF
Eww, that's sounds terrible. Sounds like a queef on every shift! Haha!!!
Our 6NZ pulls quicker than that with 85k.
false
my e9 would eat that!
For that exist CAT 3408.Eat that!!!
E9 is superior to 3408
Mack engines are garbage. They haven’t made a decent truck in over 30 years.
@@johncholmes643 no it isn't, that 3408 600hp was made to slay Detroit's 12v71 553hp, Cummins KTA 600hp, and Mack E9 525hp
