Ok I have a 2016 renagade it run rich after it's warmed up it run quit good but it starts hard after warm. No codes to be read. Only thing I can think of is the mag sensor. But I hate to replace parts and be unsure of the real cause. It has a slight ruff idle but nothing really bad and it runs really well. Plenty of power exc I pulled plugs to look for clues only thing I can find is it is running a bit rich which rules out a vacuum leak as well as a crank sensor. So all I'm left with us the maf. Anything I could be missing
I feel like small pulls when the jeep compass is stop at a traffic light, I'm wondering if could be this sensor... I already replaced the spark plugs, but does not fix, note that it does not have the check engine icon turned on

sounds like the map sensor failed i would change it. you may have a vacuum leak but sounds more like the sensor is bad. Ill have to do a video on testing vacuum leaks asap
you'll need a obd2 scanner to find out why you have the light on then fix the issue and you may have to clear the codes once its fixed. auto parts stores usually have scanners you can use for free I believe

possibly a bad o2 sensor, its hard to say. I'm surprised its not throwing an engine code.

the replacement process should be very similar to my video, most map sensors are easy to take out and replace
Map sensor, is that the mass airflow sensor? Or something different?

@@603Mechanicvids after some quick research I guess the 2.4 engine doesn’t have a MAF sensor it has the MAP sensor which you went over in your vid
the 2.4l doesn't have a maf sensor, it just uses a map sensor

you should be able to.use a little flat head screwdriver and stick it on the top of the connector to pop up the lock inside
