I’ll add that you should just put the t30 or t40 on a drill or impact and switch it to tighten mode. Then hold a regular wrench on the nut. Use the close end of the wrench if you have one

My Volkswagen cuts out while driving then right back in. It feels like short quick jerk, then it's normal again. Mine is a 2015 TDI Passat 2.0. No codes are flashing either. What could it be? What should I check? It's got about 170,000 miles on it.

2001 chevrolet silverado 2500hd. Just got a set of these, low beam works great, high beam works great , now hear is the issue drl works great on the driverside but only passenger side bottom works, passenger side parking light works but driver side doesn't. Tried flipping the parking/signal wire on the driverside parking light turns on but signal malfunctions. Now passengerside drl works on the top but very dim..

This video is somewhat deceiving. This is a TWO man job!!!! Not a solo job. It is not too difficult to get the belt around the pulleys and tensioner. But when it comes time to get it around the alternator pulley it’s impossible to release the belt tensioner and get the belt around the alternator. It requires an extra set of hands. Make sure you have a partner to assist!!! I watched the video after and he doesn’t show the last stage to get it done. It would have been more helpful if he said use a partner.

I suspect the wrench used to loosen to belt tensioner to be longer than the average one as to get to the bolt , 12 inches or ? And would it matter if the wrench was open end or closed end ? I replaced the alternator on my 2020 Toyota Camry . Though unfortunately belt has come off the other pulleys . Now to see if I could replace it correctly . I had used a 12 inch both closed end wrench . Though it would have been better to use an open end . Better angle for the wrench as in leverage . I have a mobile mechanic coming on Sat. so I should let him do it or check my work . And since , I will buy a new belt , though present one has no cracks , etc. Car has 70000 miles on it , so why not .

The pulley holder you put the link for is a 2 pin. But there is 3 holes and you used a 3 pin in the vid. Will the 2 pin work?

It says you have to reset it...sime say need tool like scanner...other say disconnect battery for 15 min....which for 06 2.0t? Any alarm system?

Looks super easy fars as replacement but only thing I would highly recommend please put power cable on first then the negative battery cable cause putting on the positive battery cable will power to the system then you want to put ground to the system not following those directions will cause some serious damage to some sensors on your car which is called a voltage spike they very costly I toke a electrical class in automotive school and I have a associates degree and automotive autobody and computers.
