    Good video! I have a 2010 Caliber, and I'm trying to learn as much DIY as I can to save $$$.

    Thanks for making and posting this video. I needed to replace the MAP on my daughter's 2013 Jeep Compass, and every video I tried watching were not helpful. Half were by the same guy working with an extracted motor. I MUCH prefer to see a process in the same format I'm'a need to do it, and you vid was precisely what I was looking to find. And your helpful tips, such as removing the retaining screw/bolt and telling what size socket and/or Torx. One thing that did help me a smidgen was removing the radiator hose bracket (it was a 10mm socket) so I could get a pinch more wiggle room.

    Thank you for your time to make this video. You answered questions I had. In tight spot. I like how you left part connected to wires. So you can see how to disconnect easier.

    Thanks so much for this video! I needed this. Also one thing you forgot to mention, As you are ready to pull the sensor off after removing the screw, you need to twist the sensor about 90 degrees then you can pull it out. And do the reverse when installing.

    Thanks man, I have a 2007 Jeep Compass with the same engine. I couldn't find this thing for the life of me and you are the only video that shows me exactly where it is... I just ordered one online for $21.00 and I will pick it up at the store tomorrow. I'm hoping this solves my rough idle.

    I have a 2010 and the cooling fans stopped working. I was wondering if you've had the same problem. Can't for the life of me figure it out. At least now I know about the map sensor, thank you.

      remove the relay under the left headlight. It is the outer and first relay out of the bunch. Open it and inspect the inside contact point. Most likely is pitted. Then clean it out by scraping it with a metal tooth pick. Put it back together and problem solved! MAP sensor has nothing to do with it!

    Logged into all 4 of my accounts to give 4 thumbs up. I have a 2012 Jeep Patriot with the same MAP sensor. I might try to clean it rather than replace it.

      Now that I've gotten it off and had a chance to clean it, I see that it's better to buy a new one and replace the old sensor. The cleaning seems to work but I can see that around the sensor there's some black grime still there. I used CRC Mass Airflow Sensor cleaning spray

    Take the one bolt out of the mount that holds the rad hose. Allows you to move the rad hose out of the way. Gives alot more room.

    Caliber was stalling and rough accelerating. No warning lights. Found this awesome video and replaced the MAP sensor. Now there is a flashing ETC light with the new sensor on. Anyone have any idea? The whole throttle body was replaced about a year ago.
    Did they give me the wrong part?

    • @miket.220
      @miket.220 3 месяца назад +1

      If it wasn't flashing the ETC light before changing the sensor, then yes. Mopar or NTK are the best ones to use, more expensive, but NTK supplies Mopar so they are the same parts. I've seen people have success with other brands but I think most folks will tell you sticking with NTK/Mopar is best. I need to change this out myself along with the Charge Temperature Sensor near the airbox

    • @Andreamom001
      @Andreamom001 3 месяца назад

      @@miket.220Thanks! Turns out the part was okay but the connector to the wire was loose. A friend zip tied it in place and cleared the codes and the warning lights stopped flashing.
      I don’t know why the lights weren’t flashing before I changed the part, but it’s working so far.
