- In today’s easy hair tutorial I am sharing with you how to do a claw clip hairstyle for long hair and medium hair lengths, it’s the perfect spring hairstyle. Like the last hair tutorial I shared, you might have already seen this simple hairstyle if you follow me on TikTok or Instagram. Except here I am sharing a more in depth version of how to create this french twist claw clip hairstyle and how to ensure it will stay secure all day long.
Hairstyles like this are my favourite because they look incredible in any setting. Whether you are headed to a special event, running late for work, or want to keep your hair out of the pool water, this hairstyle will be your go-to. I have always loved claw clip hairstyles because they’re very gentle on the hair. I also love how switching up the accessory you choose can completely change how the hairstyle looks. Here I decided to go with a gold claw clip because it’s like jewelry for your hair making it perfect for a special event.

It’s frustrating sometimes when you don’t know what to do with it and some hairstyles are hard because I have a hard time putting my arms above my head- which limits what I can do with it. 🥴😜

I am curious to see a comment from anyone who has actually tried this because there is absolutely no way at all that this would work like that on my fine, flimsy hair
Try using something like a sea salt spray or hair texturizer. My hair is super fine and has trouble holding volume and staying in place, but either of those two products help for me.
I feel like it’s relying way more on the bobby pins than it is the clip. I want an easy way to put up my hair not to struggle to make Bobby pins hold my ends. This didn’t work for me either
That's how majority of these are....need very long hair like hers
I did this just now and was actually surprised at the fanning tip! If you have fine flimsy hair it will still work, just start your French roll middle of your hair instead of the bottom amd all you're essential doing is twisting your hair inwards, it will naturally fan if you let go at the base and just twist. And then clip, and with then end turn it around and gently unclipped your clip just enough to tuck it in the clip qnd fan it out. I didn't use any bobby pins at all and I have fine hair and it turned out really lovely.

Been doing my hair like this for over 20 yrs. I have always had longhair, but don't like it hanging in my face during the day. The Scruncii clips with the rubber on the inside of the teeth work the best.

I'm 56. My 60 yo sister says I'm too old to have long hair, but I don't think I look good with short. Maybe if I start putting my hair up like in these videos, then maybe she'll change her mind!

I’m 56 too and and have hair a few inches past my collarbone, not sure if that’s considered long or medium length. I also don’t think I look good with short hair and I like the versatility of my length. I say do what makes you happy.
I’m almost 70 (but look 50) and I still wear my hair stylishly long.

How do you make the clip so secure? It never stays for me.
Make sure you're giving it a squeeze after clipping and it should stay in place. Although I have some clips that I have to readjust throughout the day, I try not to remove them, just open, reclip, and squeeze. I hope this helps. ❤️

Tried it, but the claw clip slipped right out of my hair. Oh well, guess it’s back to using heavy duty ponytail holders…
Try spraying your hair with Hairspray , let it dry then Try again with your clip
