I have seen many tire reviews in the past few years. You might have just done the best tire review I've ever seen. And I think you have changed my mind. I think instead of Mickey Thompson MTZs I will go with these Goes for my Ramius.
Ben! I got a pair of geolanders in 35’s because of you. Had them on for about 1k miles already. Absolutely love them. Only one wheeling trip so far. Out preformed my old KO2’s! Thanks for doing what you do. Keep it up!
I have watched this video like 6 times now and like this review. Your video helped me make the decision to order this Yokohama Geolandar G003 in 35s for my Infiniti QX80. I do not offroad as much, but I do some hardcore offroad atleast 2 times each year and I always make sure my car can handle it. I got 285x55R22, which are 35s. I look forward to taking it to Ouray some time this year.
Chose these last year for my 2012 f150 over Miley Thompson and Toyos. And I loved them and the tread design. Getting these again on my new ram this month
Well!! Let me give anyone looking into the geolander MT g003 I have run a few different mud terrains along the way as I work in the oil & gas industry in northern Alberta Canada. I always swore by the toyo MT 35” x12.5 x R20. And still do! But I thought I’d try something different. I run a Ford F-350 with a 4.5” SL and I just put on a new set of the Yokohama geolander G003 MT on. They spin true , balance out great , start out relatively the same noise levels as it’s competitors but after about 6000miles,.. literally they turn it up a few more decibels and start to sound like a small plane on the tarmac ... sincerely guys , be prepared that these are not quieter than their competition at all. They are also a little squirrely under the truck I feel as the measure just a little narrower than other 12.50 wide tires. So just a little getting used to that’s all. Great looking tire, slightly lighter in weight than it’s competitors which can be felt in rotational mass. Let’s be real though , noisy and expensive ... when I post a video I’ll come back and shoot the link ok 👌🏻 Thanks everyone .. it’s -35Celcius this upcoming week so not much for Shooting a video lol ... I just rotated once last week at 7500km/4660 miles I’ll update with actual size of the tire mounted on the truck. I’ve run duratracs , TOYO open country mud terrains and BFG all terrains.
I have had BFG KO2 and Nitto Terra Grappler, even the P rated Geolandar GO15 do better off road and in mud than both of them and the E rated ones give you extra cut resistance. I have also used Nitto Trail Grappler that are noisy and do very poor on road and in rain. The MT G003 are shades better than any other in its class of MT tires but best part, its the most livable tire on road being that for many of us, tarmac forms majority of our driving. Thanks for the review, looking forward to your X-AT and X-MT review. I know few in the Jeep world have had superb results with G004 and X-MT.
Having read the comments here, it is very positive and I wish I could understand and follow the review due to hearing loss. Perhaps I can try finding other videos with same brand/model and hope for a great review as I'm going to have those installed on my truck Wednesday afternoon.
If you dont believe me I have 305/70r17 desert hawks and I've got 65 70% tread left they have 30k on them and I paid 660 put the door for them and off road is amazing better then toyo that's on my other jeep its unbelievable for a cheaper tire and performs better than top brand tires the grip and tread on the desert hawks are so big and deep its crazy
Great video....Im looking at these Geo mt's versus Cooper Evolution mt's (which are highly rated as good on rainy street, interstate, not loud, great off-road.....wish I could find direct comparison. How have these held up? Do you have any recommendations for a better tire that has an aggressive look like these Geos do?
Hi, I just installed the new Yokohamas G003 a few days ago replacing the old MT+. I wouldn't say the new ones are bad, actually they the most silent tires I've got but the new model are not better, if anything, they are worst. The old model had incredible grip, little noise, unbelievable wet grip and a very good off-road performance (except on slippery rocks). Maybe the new model will last more and that's the only improvement over the old model. Just my two cents for everyone looking for the Yokos, try to find the old model if you are looking for better traction, or the new one if you want a longer tread life. BTW, great video!
yo man! First your videos are well done! Im looking at getting the g0003 for my Silverado. (i can only reasonably fit 33" right now due to those chevy square wheel wells...) but any how, any insight into how they do in snow?
cool, I think these will still do better in snow/ice than the KM3? I live up in the tahoe are so im trying to find a best of both worlds tire. Thanks for the info
Awesome video review! You’ve sold me on them! I’ve been stuck on getting nitto trail grapplers and they’ve done me super well but looking for a change. Been having issues lately with hydroplaning lately in them but they are getting worn down. Anywho, sold on trying the geolander mt!
JK Gear and Gadgets I got a set of 35s for my JTR based on reviews and they’re great. One thing I noticed though on the highway there is a slight vibration around 60. Had them rebalanced and still there so wasn’t sure if others had experienced this?
I have them, about 6 months now . Had a bit of ass sliding in a moderate rain on a 2013 stock FJ cruiser going about 45 around a sweeping bend.. pretty average speed for the curve.. pucker factor 7
I live in Va as well and i watched this video years ago because i was interested in these but ended up pulling the trigger on a set of falken wildpeak mt's and they were absolutely amazing in all co ditions from on-road to off. My wife and i camp alot but we are also interested in getting into overlanding and offroading with my truck, a tent, and the basics we need. Any help is greatly appreciated!
How much total mileage did you get out of these? Considering for my chevy 1500 overlander truck coming from bfg ko2's and want a more aggressive tire. will be on 315x70r17
I have bfg muds with 20k miles and they are loud ..... I’ve had all versions of BFG over the last 30 years and I a,ways like them when new but hate them when they get some miles on them .., I’ve had Yokohama’s before and always liked them ...
Did you cut out the pinch seam in the rear wheels to get enough clearance. Currently running a 4.5 AEV lift and was thinking about putting on these tires, just a bit worried about having clearance issues in the back....
Thank you for the review. It really helped me in making my decision to go with a set of 35" Geolandars on my '16 JKU. I'm replacing a set of 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers, and I'm really looking forward to being able to hear the radio again...lol Would you be interested in doing a review at 40k? I'm curious as to what to expect for tread life.
The STT pros are better in snow compared to these, but that is it. These will last longer, and handle better on and off road compared to the Coopers. These are cheaper too, I’m pretty sure

Yep! They do great on road, another tire to check out is the Yokohama XAT. Stay tuned for a video dropping in a few days showing them in action on my Gladiator
Hello from Spain, which one do you recommend this or the A / T geolander, I have a jeep wrangler unlimited and basically I am on the road, but I like to ride fast through the field too. Thank you very much
im in texas,we do a lot of mudding here because in east tx we don't have big rocks,so anyways I've always had BFG mud tires, for over 15 years i think they are the best but Im thinking about getting a pair of these just to try something different,I'm tired of the same thing you know.plus i don't really do any hardcore mudding like i used to,so i think just a little mud here and there these tires will look good and hopefully do good, mainly i want a new look to be honest.thanks
Cool thanks. I have a 2014, jku and live in Okinawa Japan. Your review and several others is the reason I bought them over the Yokohama AT. Again thank you
I would make that tire with the sidewall damage a spare or at least put it on the rear. It would suck to have a sidewall blowout while going down the highway and lose control of your Jeep.
The camera makes it look a lot worse than it is. But yes you are correct! Running it in the front isn’t a good idea. Haven’t gotten around to swapping it
TyandAubreysMom that's correct that tire shouldn't be on the road if you can see any of the nylon cords that make up the tire. That cut definitely looks deep enough
I was wondering if anyone was going to mention this. That is the first thing I thought when I saw the sidewall damage...move it to the spare position or get rid of it.
I only had them in the snow around 1 or 2 times. They did really good in the deeper snow, but i dont have enough time in the snow/ice to give a good review in regards to that. I wish i could help, but hopefully someone else in the northern states has a snow/ice review. They will probably handle like any other Mud tire in regards to snow traction.
Cool, thanks for the reply. Im thinking of going with a 4.5" metalcloak Highsteer. How does the 4.5" handle on and offroad? Does it feel like you are top heavy?( High center of gravity). Also what tire size?
It all depends what size tire you plan on running. For 37s I’d reccomend 3.5” and flat fenders. For 40s go with 4.5”. The lower the lift the better! And I would highly suggest the Metalcloak or Rock Krawler!
Awesome, if i was going to go with 37"s they would be 12.50x17 same with the 35. And i am going to go with the metalcloak 3.5, and get the Highsteer kit and tie rod and rocksport steering stabilizer.
i have a range rover 38, would this fit on it ? am trying to find something related to this online but nothing so far. would be great if u can get back to me. thank you!!!
Chart says 17/32. At 15,000 miles mine are down to only 15/32. Quietest, toughest, best wearing, and best all-around performing tire I've ever run in 46 years of performance off road driving.
I hate mine. Slickest tires I've ever had in the rain. Literally just lost traction on an off-ramp on the way to work. Started Googling if other people have the same issue and found this video LOL I'll never buy them again.
I have seen many tire reviews in the past few years. You might have just done the best tire review I've ever seen. And I think you have changed my mind. I think instead of Mickey Thompson MTZs I will go with these Goes for my Ramius.

I love that they’re not all ate up and chunky like my Toyo MT’s and Stt Pros have done. Really considering these.

What wheels are those your running?
They are Raceline monster beadlocks
Thank you. They look sick! Love your videos, keep em coming lol
Thanks!! Have a lot planned!
What’s the difference with the M/T Plus?
That is their older style.
What was the starting tread depth?
21/32”
@@JKGearandGadgets Thank you. I read somewhere that is was 12/32" and I knew that had to be wrong!
Chart says 17/32. At 15,000 miles mine are down to only 15/32. Quietest, toughest, best wearing, and best all-around performing tire I've ever run in 46 years of performance off road driving.

Aw come on.. do a giveaway video for these 😂
Haha no way 😂
What was at the end!!!? I want to know lol
how many of the 20,000 miles where highway miles?
No clue on an actual number. But the majority of them, lots of offroad time on them though
JK Gear and Gadgets thanks for the feedback 👍🏼
I hate mine. Slickest tires I've ever had in the rain. Literally just lost traction on an off-ramp on the way to work. Started Googling if other people have the same issue and found this video LOL I'll never buy them again.
