- Yokohama GEOLANDAR M/T G003 Mud Terrain tires - Snow and Ice Performance
I have had the chance offroading in snow and ice condition with two vehicles equipped with Geolandar MT G003 Mud Terrain tires. I made this video to show you guys how they did in the wintry trails.

Looks like the yokohama geolandar mt is great in the snow and ice on those rocky trails
It is, for mud terrains, it felt competent
How about in deeper snow? The light thin stuff you went through didn't look like much of a challenge for any all terrain tire.
Love my Yokohama GO15 great tractions on any surfaces and long lasting s well. ❤
These tires looks great! How they perform in clay and deep mud?
Probably like a proper mud tire would
Excellent content as usual.
Thanks for the kind words.
IMO it’s not a true snow and ice test. There was some slush/snow/ice but a lot of what you were driving on was very rocky providing plenty of area to grip. MT’s usually have issues on packed snow and ice.
Not really since a wet/icy rock surface is probably one of the most slippery surface
How do these do on wet and snowy pavement vs something like the k02s. I do about 60% hwy driving and want the extra performance off-road while feeling comfortable on wet and snowy roads.
I’d say they are about the same with ko2 on wet and snowy pavement
@@4WDisLife Good to know I think I’m going to go with the yokos.
Great design and aggressive treads, performs well in all conditions EXCEPT icy pavement. It's absolute shitshow on iced out highway and could be very dangerous. You can find the stopping distance chart through their websites vs the KO2s and they're not in the same ball park. I have one tacoma with KO2s and with one tacoma with G003s.
I would not recommend G003 if you live in places when it snow often (i.e. Colorado, Utah, etc...). I used the G003 this past winter in 4x4 (running at a lower psi for more contact) and still I was slipping and sliding even if I drive and brake early in advance. If you do 60% driving on the road, go for K02s , AT3s, or other 3-peak rated tires, if you're a frequent wheeler then G003s are fantastic.
@@hv4285how about for northeast PA where snow is hit or miss? I have an hour commute that is mostly highway but does cut through some farmland
Great Tires 👍
Sure are.
Keep up the great work!! 👍
thanks man!
Are these three peak rated?
They are not, they are M+S though
More g wagon please!
I will try to haha. I did have a new video comparing g to the wrangler.
Can’t call a g wagon a truck when there is no truck bed
G-wagon is body on frame (ladder frame) therefor it is considered a “truck” every SUV that is unibody is just an SUV, there are a bunch of body on frame “SUV’s” out there that are considered trucks as well, ie..4runners, jeep wranglers, nissan armada, ford bronco, land cruiser, ford expedition, chevy tahoe just to name a few, these are all “SUV’s” but people that knows vehicles consider them as “trucks”
I get what you are saying, but I called it a truck because it has a truck ladder frame.
agreed.
