    Finally someone who doesn't swear that any form of heat on natural hair causes severe heat damage. I still haven't used heat (by choice) but it is nice to know that I don't have to be afraid of heat if used properly.

I watched an earlier video of your technique. I will definitely stop shampooing her hair once a week and start cowashing her hair weekly. With shampooing once a month.
    Thank you for sharing your gift. I'm so excited to share the video with my daughter tonight!

      If she has 4c hair, she should be cowashing daily and shampooing as needed. That could be once a week, twice a month or once a month, etc.

      Try get it as straight as you can with a blow dryer first tho ... I have 4b/c fine hair so I don’t need much heat to get it straight so pay attention to the thickness of your hair strands as well

  • @greatestshopper1077
    @greatestshopper1077 6 лет назад

    I have only one question, I have 4c texture, extra fine, high priosity, medium density and gray hair. I was unable to do the “wash n go”, so I straightened instead. Now it is Perfect and longer than I ever imagined. My strands are like accordions! How long do I wait between hair straightening. My hair has more body and moisture than ever before!!! I’m afraid the process was so easy I may straighten mine too often!!!

    I've always been taught to wash my hair, one section at a time because my hair is so thick. Are there benefits to washing hair using this method?

    • @RochelletheRealtor
      @RochelletheRealtor 4 года назад +1

      Nev
      The benefit is that you clean and style your hair at the same time. The cowashing and soaking your hair frequently moisturizes your hair, which drastically reduces tangles. That basically eliminates the need to wash in sections. The hair doesn’t tangle, so no need to wash in sections.

    Are oils good for hair before blow drying?

    • @Shon9tilR

      Argan or olive oil with a leave in conditioner. Or just use a heat protectant.

  • @ltgwright
    @ltgwright 6 лет назад

    Why didn't you use a heat protectant? Also, can you know that your hair is heat damaged while it's being flat blow dried and flat ironed?

    • @nikkifranklin2737
      @nikkifranklin2737 6 лет назад +10

      La Tanya Wright he implied that moisturized hair is the heat protectant. How you take care of your hair prevents the damage. That convo with Taren about lifestyle (eating well vs eating a salad/ broccoli) was where he talked about it.
