Pan's coating on glass looks like it sheets water a tad quicker. As soon as the water hits the glass from the pressure nozzle, with ADS, the water pools for a fraction of second. With Pan's coating, it looks like it bounces off the glass. I might just give this stuff a try
Yup what is to be expected of most ceramic coatings. Rejecting soap and good hydrophobics. Looks decent, not enough to sway me away from gtechniq though.
I’d wait to see a year or two in before claiming it’s a top tier coating… who cares how much soap and water it beads of it fails after 3 months.. just saying..
@@Join0rDIE1776 I’ll certainly show updates along the way. If an 8 year coating doesn’t last that long then he’ll have some bigger problems. I haven’t seen maybe coatings fail that dramatically outside of cerakote. I can’t speak for his claims but ceramic coatings are meant to make cleaning and maintaining your vehicle easier and offer some mild protection. A lot of people care about the hydrophobic performance of ceramic coatings so I wanted to show the audience.
Thanks for the reminder : “Read the instructions”. My package from Pan came in yesterday. I can’t wait to go back to CA & apply it on my Toyota Camry. I am in PA & coated 4 vehicles with DIY Details 8/3 year & 5/3 year stack. Thanks for the video. 🙏
First time I have seen a coating reject a snow-foam mix and then the contact wash application. That is awesome and just the job. Great video and thank you.
Nice looks great ! I have the 3 year coating by pan gonna put it on this weekend definitely pumped !! Waiting for all the other stuff to be restocked looks like a solid line by pan !!
I like how you paused and stopped talking to be blown away by the slickness and hydrophobics. I'm watching all the testers on Pans product's to gauge my own feelings, and so far, it's extremely positive. Nice vid
@@79blustone I used his rinse-less wash and really loved the slickness. The only problem I found is it attracted bugs like crazy. However, the surface was extremely slick after drying
To be fair, Hero and Idrosave attract flying insects, too. I don't mean when driving at 150mph 😉. I wouldn't say there are tons of insects but certainly green flies, hover flies, slower flying bugs and belive it or not a pond skater!! I think the majority of cases are because it looks like water, the gloss and slickness problems play a part, as for the green fly and slower flying insects is probably down to the short term protection layer it temporarily leaves behind. Rinseless washes definitely attract flying insects, but not an amount to be remotely concerned about.
Nicely done video. With regard to the water behavior, I honestly get the same type of behavior using Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating. I prefer the Adam's because of the addition of graphene and how it helps against water spots.
New to the channel! Thank you for showchasing this and looking forward for the updates. Located in Montréal, Canada and can’t wait to try these products by Pan. Congrats on your X5! I’m missing mine that’s an awesome car!
The product looks really good. The price in Canada on the Clean products is reasonable. If you try some and like them keep using them , if not buy something else. 🇨🇦👍👍
Thanks for showing off the water behavior of both coatings and giving a demo on Pan’s shampoo. Obviously time will tell but both coatings look promising. Looking forward to your continued updates and reviews of all the new products from Clean and Detail Co. The new ride looks unreal! If I was one of your customers and this was my car I wouldn’t be able to stop smiling!
@@justlovethisgame3537 I wish they paid me in that way lol. I am an affiliate and with all the hype and drama l was early getting some content online. Just good timing paired with me actually wanting to test the products
Great update vid! Earned yourself a new subscriber 👍.I also jumped on the bandwagon and plan to coat my own car with Pan’s 8 year coating. I bought his 8 year coating, panel prep and spray polish. Hope to see your review and demo on his spray polish soon, since I plan to use my own in a week. My original plan was to use Meguiar’s M110 with a microfiber or rupes azure pad to compound off an existing, aging coating and some scratches. Following that with rupes ultra fine polish and rupes white pad for jeweling. If the spray polish can do it all, I might do that instead.
Back again for your follow ups. Also looking at Clean 8 year coating on my 25 718 BGTS which should be on a ship before December. It says something to put on a brand new coating on your own personal car, you don't know until you know. My last coating I used was AMMO NYC Pro Enamel II and I applied it in middle of the summer here, crazy humidity, so immediate wipe off. Tbh these 2 coatings look very similar on hydrophobics, and I know Larry's coating is so glossy. Be interesting to compare the 2 side by side.
@@seang3538 amazing ride congrats man! I haven’t used Ammo but Pans is doing very well. Most of your gloss will come from polishing and on a new car you should be able to get away with jeweling. I’m happy to endorse this so far obviously too soon to tell about durability but I have no reason to doubt it. If you want to try it FD10 will save ya 10%. If not, check out Nasiol 272. My favorite coating by far. I have a video on my channel “$500 coating” it’s for sure Porsche worthy.
Now THAT is funny and cool at the same time.....Pan's Shampoo vs Pan's Coating. That dwell time is STILL SICK even as it's being rejected.....talk about the best of both worlds!
Carbon collective mentioned!! I’ve been wanting to try out their towels I love their hybrid spray coating. Pan’s products look very promising I just ordered their shampoo
@@justlovethisgame3537 soooo smelly! Big conspiracy lol. Thanks for watching. Just me wanting to test some new products. I think the results speak for themselves. If they didn’t I would have called that out.
How does it compare to Gyeon Mohs? That’s currently my favorite coating and looks very similar from this video. Gyeon Mohs is very difficult to apply though.
Ease of application is great. Cure time is impressive. Only 1 hour before it can get wet. You can wash it with pHN before 7 day cure. You don't need to top with any protection products before curing. All of that said I can get the car out faster because it doesn't have to sit in the shop for 12-24 hours to cure. MOHS is an AMAZING coating but the time in which I can get a new car out is a big appeal. And the working time is awesome. FD10 save you 10% if you want to try it.
Awesome video! Thanks for reviewing...have to get my hands on some! Waiting for THOR Canada site to update. Slowest process ever!! I wonder if they forgot that they have a Canadian site?! lol
Wow 😮 as a result of this video I’m currently uninstalling my triple lifetime stack of Crystal Serum Ultra, cQuartz Finest, and C6 hydro from my Corolla and installing Pans coating IMMEDIATELY 😛😛😛
New to your channel. Thanks for the great content 💪👍. What are those little things you've got under your front tires that keep your hose from getting bound up underneath the tire??
@@bigredwag thanks for the support! Yes they are so the hose doesn’t get caught under the tire. Didn’t know you needed them until you get them. amzn.to/3YqXSok
I figured out who is really warehousing the Canadian orders as mine shipped yesterday. THOR teamed up with Carzilla out in Alberta. Wednesday I will have the 8 year coating/Panel Prep and Shampoo.
@@davidceremuga9624 most coatings can you just need to work in small sections, out of the sun and hopefully it’s not windy. So you may need to do one side in the shade then turn your car around and do the other. But you will probably want to let the panel cool first so you have to break it into 2 days. Or if you have a pop up tent that could serve you well to help keep the panels out of the sun. The one hour cure time before getting wet is awesome just in case it rains
Did you get the V8 in your X5? Looks great. I just bought a Mazda CX5 Turbo in the 46v “Soul Red” after working on a customers same car and color. His was tuned and I was impressed enough to go get one. I coated mine with C6, pans wasn’t out yet. My red glows in the sun. Sure could use a palm tree for the living room. Oklahoma winters suck. 😎
Thanks for watching! I'm not quite there on the V8 yet but thats on the list! M60i is sick! Agreed, red ceramic coated cars look SPECIAL! C6 is a solid coating. You can watch my channel during the winter, no snow, no jackets and high of 65 lol. It will help keep you warm.
I wish i would wait and didint go with Hidro light coating now i dont know what to do i love pan ceramic coating how its perform alot better then DIY HYDRO LIGHT im not happy with DIY Im thinking to remove and go with 8-yerar Pans thet is a fire 💯
It looks like a decent coating. I have Modesta BC-04 on a 2019 Bullitt that’s been on for 4 years and when I hit it with foam, it actually looks very different from what you’re seeing here. Your foam is actually sticking a lot more than what I’ve experienced. Maybe not a fair comparison, but just visually there is a big difference in how it looks. On my car the coating actually makes the foam bead up if that makes sense, that’s how strong it is when it’s hit with anything that’s liquid. Will follow to see how Pan’s performs over time.
Thanks for watching. Yeah this is only 5 days into the 7 day cure process too so we'll see how it holds up. Also I was trying to avoid comparing to pro only coatings as this is consumer grade.... I assume the BC-04 is but not sure. I'll give you updates for sure.
You live in AZ? I ask because I live in AZ and the biggest issue I have is with the dust. As a full time Uber driver, after 2-3 days (7-800 miles) my Accord is layered with dirt dust. Any products you can recommend to keep the car cleaner longer? Or just keep to my weekly maintenance wash?
@@SPIN_89 hey hey! To be honest no. I’ve tried everything. Every product that claims to be anti dust or static doesn’t work. Weekly washing is the best option. Having your car coated just makes it easier.
Looks like a great coating and thanks for showcasing it. I had already decided on Kamikaze ISM 3.0 before Pan's coating came out but would perhaps try it down the line.
I did the Kamikaze Miyabi/ISM combo in March of this year. Not a slick coating. Depending on the humidity in your environment, ISM flashes way quicker than Miyabi. So far, I love it on my car. Definitely throwing Pan 8 on the wife’s SUV.
@@snkrteksol86 Yes my garage (still being built) is climate controlled. I was going to go Miyabi/ISM combo but not sure i want to spend that much, lol. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
For those prices lots of good options that are only 1 coat. Hydrolite is solid, Nasiol 272 as well. Half the price 150 ish Pan's is solid and I head ADS is wild. I've only tried phobic though.
@@FineDetailingAZ Oh you can easily do just 1 coat with Kamikaze products, depends on your needs really. So many good products these days to choose from.
@@vincentfontanez9334 hey thanks for watching! I should have all of them linked in the description but if you’re looking for the bigger one that’s the tire shine brush from detail factory. I think that’s only on their site directly.
I had no seal on my products. The caps weren't taped either but my packing was pretty solid. A ton of paper kept everything secure. I know others have had some shipping issues but I've heard house of rags has excellent customer service and should get you taken care of.
Hey Man, great video. One of the things that I am understanding is that the Nasiol gets slick faster meaning meaning that it sets up faster?, and the CLEAN takes a little longer. As a guy that has never applied a ceramic coating, could this be a huge benefit with CLEAN? I am thinking that CLEAN might be more forgiving to the first timer, where as Nasiol might require a person to be more precise? any thoughts on that?
Nailed it! Clean for sure for a first timer. Nasiol 272 I'd say do for your 3rd coating lol. OR just be very methodical with Nasiol. Clean is very forgiving.
I have it on for 4 days. I neveret my truck get nasty. I have been searching for the care of the coated vehicle. Can I use a rinseless of waterless wash on it. Is it only pH neutral?
While its curing yes you can use a rinseless wash as long as it's pH neutral. After curing it has a chemical resistance of 1-14 according to the website.
There is a load of great products out there- it’s fun to be a detailer. I know you mentioned C6, but have you experienced the pro only C6 Ceramics Hydro or Diamond gloss? Or only the Hydro Lite? The C6 pro only coatings are amazing imo-but Pan’s coating looks to perform really well too. Beautiful car
hey John, yeah I'm a c6 installer I have hydro and diamond. They are incredible. I wanted to compare these to consumer ones that anyone could buy. I'd put this up there with C6 for sure. Thanks! Love my ride.
best part of this video is the hose guides under the tires... these things are clutch!!! good foam more like runny foam.... thick foam more like good foam...
Thanks for watching and glad to hear it's helpful! This is the Poka Premium detailing cart. amzn.to/3ZIGwFE I have a review of this on my channel you can check out.
Thanks for the video and your experience. Real question as another Phoenix valley resident what time did you get that much shade? Dawn or after dark is mine choice out west ugh.
I don't get bubbles on my coated car with C6Hydro lite with Klin Duo towels. I excited to test Eddie's House of Rags drying towles since I love all my Klin towels . Detail Co's pH neutral soap is a close match for Pan's netural soap.
I just meant it's a tighter weave and sometimes the different weaves can leave some water behind. I'm also excited to try house rags microfibers. I got Detail co. 3pH very excited to try as well.
Do you notice any difference in appearance on the hood where you added 2 coats of ceramic? For example, I was wondering if you feel like there is more depth to the paint color compared to the single coat. I can’t tell from the video, but maybe you see something with the naked eye.
good question, I don't think so. I couldn't tell a difference to be honest. Water behavior looked the same and no more jetting on the dual layer. I'd be fine with just one layer all around.
Being a beginner, I rhink I'm going with all CLEAN products. 272 looks like a phenomenal product, but a 30-second or less dwell time seems too strict for a detail n00b...
Thanks for watching. Pan says it can be washed with a pH neutral soap before the 7 days. It's on the website, so I wanted to test that and also try the new shampoo.
The hydrophobics look better now than when you first applied the coating. It seemed to flood the panel where the contact of the water was at first now it just flings off
Yeah everything is looking and feeling great. I wanted to give people a better idea of the performance in the daylight. Hopefully this was a good example for people.
The supposedly thick foam looked even runnier! Using a better foam gun would help though Even standard/basic ceramic coatings will still perform just as good as only been 5 days.....wait until year 7 or 8
@@jamesarmitage8399 there no issues with my foam cannon James. Thanks for watching. This wasn’t meant to test durability it was meant to give people a few more views of the water behavior outside and test the soap.
Looks like you're in a location where water is scarce. Your drive must be clean enough to eat off! 😂 I just did a one-week wash of my new Camry in PA. After some Bilt Hamber Touchless, and before the contact wash, it also had crazy hydrophobics from Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. 🤔 I'm waiting on the one year result with Clean, though it looks like your weather is nowhere near as nasty as mine. I lived in TX and detailing was just removing dust and bugs! 😉 😂
Love touchless! I will for sure give you all a 1 year update! You'd be surprised at some of the cars I get lol. Some bugs and dust yes....but others it's been years since they've been washed.
Not sure! The website says "Recommended application temperatures: 50-86F (10-30C) with the ideal being near 68F (20C)." I would guess humidity would slow the flash time? I had low humidity and my flash time was quick.
can you make a short vid right after rain, my ceramic coated car is all in gray dots after rain, I feel like 3 year diy coating sucks because of that. if pans coating is just as good year later Ill get 8 year pans and polish diy one off.

I like how you paused and stopped talking to be blown away by the slickness and hydrophobics. I'm watching all the testers on Pans product's to gauge my own feelings, and so far, it's extremely positive. Nice vid
Yeah it was pretty special. User experience is very important to me. I need to feel the feedback.
@@79blustone I used his rinse-less wash and really loved the slickness. The only problem I found is it attracted bugs like crazy. However, the surface was extremely slick after drying
interesting, do you think the scent attracted them?
To be fair, Hero and Idrosave attract flying insects, too. I don't mean when driving at 150mph 😉. I wouldn't say there are tons of insects but certainly green flies, hover flies, slower flying bugs and belive it or not a pond skater!! I think the majority of cases are because it looks like water, the gloss and slickness problems play a part, as for the green fly and slower flying insects is probably down to the short term protection layer it temporarily leaves behind. Rinseless washes definitely attract flying insects, but not an amount to be remotely concerned about.
@@FineDetailingAZ I honestly do not know. There was probably 40 or so. I finished with 15 or so in my bucket lol

I'll let you know! Doing a correction with it this Sunday.
Thanks for the information on both vidoes
I will be buying the coating to try out here in Australia.

The dwell time was very impressive. Not many other will do that.

I don't have a garage. Live in South Carolina. Can Pans 8 year be applied outside? Maybe late evening, mid 70's fall weather?

What kinda ceramic coating you have ?
This is the Clean by Pan the Organizer 8 year coating. Link in the description!
