HOW TO SAFELY WASH YOUR CAR. AVOID SCRATCHING THE PAINT!
I throw maybe half to ounce of DIY Rinseless Wash in the washer with the towels and clear detergent. I do this right after using. Sometimes I'll throw the towels in the bucket with the RW and just put them soaking wet in the washer.
Good to know! I'll have to give that a try.
i dont get all the big towel love, if you ceramic coat your car, you'll never need more than a 16 x 16
@@Wes23Sut yeah my first step is to blow dry it and that gets 90%. For my business I do see a lot of non coated cars though. The square towels are pretty easy to manage like the goat or the 1500
@@FineDetailingAZ when you get those cars, you dont use something like quick beads to make the drying process easy and give it protection that wont last ?
@ depending on the package but if it’s a paint correction or even ceramic coating then of course no so the paint is prepped.
Are you able to dilute wheelx to make it more economical? Don’t need it for contactless and I’m used to using meguiars ultimate all wheel cleaner so I imagine wheelx will be much stronger then I’m used to already, so if I can dilute wheelx to last longer, whilst still being stronger then the meguiars wheel cleaner I’m used to, then this might be the new product for my arsenal
@@jamesgent5897 thanks for watching. Per Carpro FAQ: If you dilute it, you will reduce its strength and effectiveness. It is made as a ready to use product.
@@jamesgent5897 could keep it on hand for the really dirty jobs and use this as a first step spray all the wheels then rinse then go in for contact wash. If you want an awesome wheel and tire cleaner Koch Chemie AWH is dilutable and amazing. No iron remover though
KL!N is still unmatched, you simply get what you pay for. All others will give you 6 months if lucky

Dryinng a car without a drying aid is were the majority of scratches come from
The pro 12 is worth the investment the foam cannon is just to much for just wheels i have 3 foam pro 12 one for apc one for a upholstery cleaner not designed for a extractor and a multi pro for onr pre rinse
Acid all day acid or apc
Your buddy told me to check out your other vids so here i am
Great video. Love the DIY drying blanket. Someday I'll pick up the GOAT to try
Thanks Mike! DIY blanket was pretty nice, I agree.
Man I wanted to believe the hype of klin, I have 2, worst drying towels I own.
@@ryanmay4548 sheesh! Mine are great, just expensive. Don’t think your got clogged from si02 drying aids maybe?
@ no, they are brand new. Even new they streak.
@@ryanmay4548 WOW. Yeah lots of good options in this video you can't go wrong sir.
i washed the Goat, then put it to work. Better than Liquid8tr, Drednaught, Gauntlet., Gauntlet just doesn't hold enough, i use the 12x12 for wheels. I like the larger towels for traditional washes, but i mainly rinseless, so i wish they had a smaller Goat.
@@waterhose4130 same! Gauntlet is good for minimal water and I also use the smaller one for wheels and the medium one for my drying aid. I heard they are working on a smaller goat too.
@ that’s what need. The Goat was far more than I needed to dry a rinseless. But it got EV-RY-THING!!
@ indeed
I've stopped using a drying aid with SiO2 in it, I've killed a number of towels. Since using a 'simple' quick detailer as drying aid my towels are lasting way longer. If I want the SiO2 I will just add it after I dry it as a topper.
@@WolfAbarth same! A simple quick detailer or even a rinseless wash is great for a drying aid.
promotional link below!!!! how in the world can i trust all that well thought out information you gave us. complete with notes so you wouldn’t misinform us!!! i mean you didn’t even give us a demonstration and tell us what you really thought of the towels. you just praised them all…oh wait i’m still watching you totally did all that stuff and didn’t just fanboy out over all over them….well sh*t. guess there’s nothing left to do but double down on my ignorance and talk smack anyways!!! 😆😆😆 sarcasm aside 😜…great video brotha! i’m with you i really like the squared towels better!!! keep up the good work 🤘🏽
Hahaha, thanks for making fun of the trolls! Appreciate you brotha.
Ceramic drying aids have definitely degraded my drying towels. I soak my towels in microfiber detergent after using them and wash all drying towels after one use. Out of 14 drying towels none of them dry as well as towels that have never been exposed to ceramic ingredients.
@@johng753 that does make sense for sure. I’d try the detail co microfiber wash. You can find it in the link. I’ve had good luck with it. It brought back some older towels for me
Tried the DIY towel today for the first time. 🔥🔥🔥
I was really impressed!
Thanks for including the DIY Detail Drying Blanket.
Thanks for making a high quality affordable towel!
Great video bro. All of these towels look legit.
Thanks man! all are great....Goat has been fun to use.
Nice review. I also don’t find a great difference in these types of towel. The dreadnaught and liquid8r are nearly identical. I did pick up the DIVA and it’s a beast!
Agreed its hard to find much difference but the goat is much heavier and diva is legit too!
Ryan have you tried Kiln Duo towels? I have the goat and the Diva will be trying it today. Nice review .
Hey hey yes! I have both I think I show at the end, the duo and the duo evo. Love both, very high quality.
"They have 2 drying towels on the market first one being a exact copy of everyone els ..lol
@@Juicefree are you referring to THOR? If so, the goat is 2300 gsm which no one else has to my understanding. The Diva is a 1500gsm with a suede edge. So in fact, they are both different.
@FineDetailingAZ idk about gsm idk how much different 1500 is compared to 2300 but I'm talking about a thick twisted loop ..all company's have a thick twisted loop drying towel nothing new here
Yeah, it's a drying towel. The weave is important and this weave works well for drying cars. The GSM is also important because thats how absorbent it is. 1500 to 2300 is substantially different. Without trying and feeling it you really can’t tell.
@@FineDetailingAZ then why not 2500 or 2700
@ why not 10,000??
Fluffy drying towels are weak!!!! Wafle weave alll day!!!
@@Juicefree they all dry incredibly well. Which waffle weave drying towel do you like?
@FineDetailingAZ rag company dry me a river a smaller one i like to use like 5 16x16 to dry a car while using a drying add like bead maker

@@mattwrapscars awesome! Hope it was helpful! Did any stand out?

@@TheHouseofRags indeed! Killer towels 🔥
Very informative! I’ve been loving the sucker drying towel from luxury microfiber $28 with 1400 gsm. I also have 1500 from the rag company very good towel it’s clogged right now but detail co’s renaissance just arrived to try and save it
@@Bakedbanana007 thanks for watching! Detail micro wash is unreal. I’d soak it for a couple days in it then wash!
Great information and demo of some of the best towels on the market at various price points! I've been really enjoying the micro twist of the DIY Drying Blanket and the Klin Duo Evo for rinseless washes. They work amazing on a coated car as you mentioned. Been avoiding using drying aids with the Klin as they specifically mention not using them but I'm one who tends to wash my towels immediately after use so maybe not an issue. Like you said, can't go wrong with the options from The Rag Company though I'd stay away from the Dryer Wolf due to linting issues (especially on dark cars). Excited to give the two THOR towels a try. They look and feel like some super high quality towels that do work. Appreciate you always dropping informative and relevant videos to help us make buying decisions.
@@goindetailing thanks! And thanks for letting me borrow some of your towels lol

Just used GOAT and Diva yesterday. I think I like the Diva more. A bit easier since it’s not so heavy. DIY drying blanket is still my favorite. Thanks for doing this good, real life, comparison.
@@Bruces-Garage thanks Bruce! Diva is solid as well. That was my first time using the DIY towel too. Pretty nice
I prefer a lighter one too. I have the big griots one and I think it's damaging my washing machine when I wash it😂. So damn heavy. Rag company has a great line of towels.

Looks like a great wheel cleaner . Great video .
@@XtraMileMobileDetailing thank you!
It just doesn’t make sense for the price. Why not just grab break buster and it gives you way more out of it.
@@lukeskywalker2013 brake buster is awesome but it doesn’t clean embedded brake dust very well. BB is maintenance product in my experience. It works dont get me wrong, but you’re scrubbing. This is a good first step to get 80% off
Brake dust and road dust bond similarly but what was there before? Were the rims treated with ceramic coating? Was it a spay wax? I see people face these cleaning products with just a squirt and rinse expectation. Stripping off the old coating? If it leaves dirt behind then the old sealants are still there? A cool video would be how these products work with different coatings. Will it matter? Black wheels on my Truck as well as the Mustang Take the longest to clean as they have so many places to agitate around. Will a different pressure washer tip matter? I use the turbo nozzle with a 1800 psi pressure washer. We all would love to find the perfect combo for the touch-less cleaner (but better agitation means) Arthritis demands less touch as you get older.
The wheels were not coated with anything. They were covered in brake dust and dirt. I don't pressure above 1000psi on cars. Turbo nozzles can damage paint. Coated wheels are always easier to clean but there are so many different variables. These are a good first step to brake down most of the brake dust and grime then going in for a contact wash is preferred.
@@FineDetailingAZ I just spent 4 hours on a Jeep Compass that sits next to a highway while the owner works a 10 hour shift. so much gets on the top of the vehicle's paint the wheels seem like the easier task. I keep the turbo nozzle back away far enough not to harm the paint. Combined with the right cleaner it is as close to a touch-less wash as I have got.
@ good, sounds like you know what you’re doing then. I only reserve turbo nozzles for wheel wells.

@@deanbush for sure I did want to over-apply for the purposes of the test. I think it’s a good starting point . It helps break down a lot of contamination the.
