Damn, it looks like most of the instruments you work on have spent years left out in the weather! Always a pleasure to see you breathe new life into a tired old guitar.👍👍 Question, you always seem to set the pickup height very low, is that a preference thing?🤔
I have to say, years ago, many people set the strat pickups low. Especially mid and neck. Also me: It was to reduce the "wolf tone" effect. I remember many "decked" neck units. Nowadays, the noiseless have less string pull so we see a lot of units set higher.
I own a 1990s Squier Strat made in Korea that's currently in pieces. I'm going to restore it! Your work really motivated me to take on this project. Thank you
29:52 ... nice, "Mineral" track! (Mineral - Gloria) My old band played a couple shows with Mineral when the came to Kansas City, them and "Christie Front Drive". A band named "Boys Life" was also big in Kansas City around the same time (early 90s). We were all friends in the local music scene. You should also check out to more KC bands "Season To Risk", "Shiner", and of course "The Get Up Kids" ... I think you will like them.
This is my new favorite RUclips channel. I just love how you can fix up a guitar and not have to spend hundreds of dollars to do so. Look forward to your next video. I made sure to give you a big old thumbs up and I have been a subscriber since your first video.
Every time I watch one of your videos ( speaking strictly as a guitar-maker ) I can't help saying to myself : "Ooh...Ouch...Oh damn..." and other expressions of shock and disbelief when I look at the instruments you're restoring 😄😄 Probably because I love guitars so much it hurts me to see how other people treat them... But, once you've restored them so brilliantly and you've brought them back to life it's such a joy to see 🙂
Another great restoration video. I love the way you keep the vintage relic vibe on this beauty! The pickups seam a lot taller and hotter than usual strat single coils. You must have an impressive collection of vintage Japanese guitars by now. Keep up your great work brother !
Instead of sanding away the yellowed plastic, you might consider using the ultraviolet LED & hydrogen peroxide bath method. It will turn the parts back to their original color.
The only disappointment with these videos is that when cleaning materials are waved at the camera to show what is beg used, I can't read Japanese. So, i have no idea what is being used.
20:00... You're replacing the tuners anyway... Why go with other bad old tuners? Couldn't through some nice repro Gotohs on there? Between that and polishing frets that need dressed... I'm a little suspect. Otherwise, brilliant cleaning...

This is so satisfying to watch
"By the Fireplace in White" is my favorite Pg. 99 song and I recognized it right away when you played it!
Thats nice heavy duty guitar definitely not a cheap guitar .
fine craftsmanship and restoration as always!!!

I love japanese guitars from middle 70's to early 80's.
Congrats for your good job with them! 👍🏻

I'm guessing he sells his restorations.
Great restoration work, this guitar deserved it!👌🏼

The guitar looks a lot like the one Masayoshi Takanaka used to play albeit the fat headstock. Very cool.
Another amazing restoration! Keep up the great work.
Practice makes perfect
awesome video. ending the video with a mineral song was really good too
Otro excelente trabajo. Otra guitarra rescatada. Enhorabuena.
Good job. Vintage one. so nice sound.
The body has very good routing
Great work. I respect anyone who can do 63K views with a fake restoration
Oh man. It's sounds amazing
I like riff you play at the end video, the sound likes grindcore riff
i'm guessing 60 year old guitar great job
Incroyable comme toujours, super travail 👌
Love your videos
Once again another brilliant video
love your videos! especially trials
are you planning on making another trial collection?
I will upload it soon.
I will up the song list as well, so please listen to the original song.
Love Letter Typewriter ❤❤
Thanks for the meditation!
These videos are addicting
Nice clean up

Superb job!
I died when he removed that natural pettina in pick uo covers 😢, just why?
Amazing always!
I'll bet it plays and sounds better than 95% of American Strats.
Why did you plug the tuner holes and then leave them sticking up? Sand them flush.
1:20 Greco has been in my mind for over 40 years, but this is the first time I see a Greco guitar with the said "Gneco" logo!!
That's what a cursive r looks like 🤣
Righteous 🤘🏼
Greco、
These videos are very very hypnotic for me, great work!!!
Bravo quel courage félicitations
How do I find your eBay listings?
Just restoring the guitars usually won't make them playable right away. How do you go about setting them up?
mineral ❤
by the fireplace in white👍️
I've seen him wear a Pg. 99 shirt before and I was shocked.
!

Man I want to go on guitar safari with you
Good job but you could do a fret leveling on you restorations.
I don't understand why don't change parts, for exemple, de pickguard
👍🏼😎🤟🏼🎸🖖🏼

mineral!!
Why?
Nice restoration. Now all you need to do is learn how to play it.
