Cool project. I also put an LT1 into my 71 Nova. I did get rid of the optispark, though. I got a cool conversion kit from Torqhead that looks really good. Also in SoCal :D
Had a 70 Challenger with 440 it had 4 wheel drum breaks it wasn't bad.. and it wasn't great either.., Also 69 Ell Camino SS 396 had 4 wheel drum . Went to junk yard pull off disc. Upper & lower control arms with the spindlesdisc brake assembly 71 Chevrolet wagon . For $ 250 . This was in 1977 . After market didn't really exists. Until the mid 80s . It's nice to see a young guy ( your channel) that uses their brain. Most guys today can't find the dip stick. Let alone change the oil or a tire . When my daughter can change out a tire in a rain storm while working securty at Groom lake when she was 18 yrs. And an expert marksman.. 17 yrs and she still in the air force..wow.
