Nonsense. All ICBMs and IRBMs are definitely able to be intercepted as any conventional ballistic missile is. These are not hypersonic cruise missiles which by virtue of their inflight maneuverability are extremely difficult to intercept. This woman is purposefully misleading to get invited on to speak.
The US unilaterally withdrew from the INF treaty, in order to develop new missile systems. The latter failed yet Russia didn't. Now the US warmongers cry croc tears. Same with Syria, where the US occupies a third of the country ILLEGALLY, whilst Russia is there by invitation and request.
I agree with everything, but there's a nuance on the INF treaty. China, not being a party of the treaty, has had robust domestic developments of the intermediate-range missile technology. The US could ill-afford to stay in the treaty with the Russians, while the Chinese were running ahead. So to look "bad, not terrible" unikaterally dropping the treaty, they slapped together some fig-leaf accusations of the Russian violations (which did have at least a modicum of truth to them - but that's not why they'd left the treaty). As for not having luck, that's what happens when small-time private contractors execute top-secret stuff & then budgets are cut & those contractors go out of business. The US plain forgot how to make certain key components of their nukes, and this is how that happens. One of them, an aerogel holding pieces together, had to be reinvented from scratch. The Russians (in a space pen story style) just use styrofoam.
If NATO didn’t keep expanding towards Russia since the1990s and if the American backed coup in Ukraine in 2014 didn’t happen then this war would not have happened
That's a stupid excuse. Russia invaded a nation. And he lied before doing so, claiming the West was "paranoid". Diplomacy could have been an option. He chose to kill people.
We all need to thank president Putin for being the only adult in the room and for being very patient with the Western lunatics who’re acting like spoiled brats!
None of these Western politicians, with the exception of Orban seems to understand this FACT. Certainly whomever Trump is listening to making the appointments for him doesn't get it either. Most of his appointments are more of the same stupid warmongers (like Kellogg) that nobody needs to have in power. Putin is the only the adult in the room and he is not bluffing. Ukraine isn't worth the life of one American National guardsman!
80-year-old “seasoned” Lt. General Kieth Kellogg, who couldn't handle Vietnam, will now deal with a militarily superior Superpower that doesn't need Nukes to kick NATO's ass - as proven?
You post this on every western news channel? Dont be mistaken, if the west do indeed engage in this war you wont be laughing so much any more. Slava Ukraine.
What treaty is this woman taking about . The Americans pulled out of the INF treaty in 2019 , thinking they were ahead of Russia , until Oreshnik showed up and it's definitely speaking for itself. What North Korean troops ?.
A treaty is political tool. Just like competitive combat sport rules. When the threat gets real, better pick up what's available to end the fight with tolerable injuries. When the other picks up a life threatening blade, better pick up something more lethal. It's that simple.
Technically USA pulled out so they could have the range to shoot from island chains and asian allies into China. About year later Russia said they would rejoin treaty but USA declined.
@@tazanddo Russia violated that particular treaty by building Iskander-K cruise missiles and deploying them along with other systems. I don't hate russian people, but Putin did break that treaty. Thats not the fault of innocent russians. The US is partly to blame though too for violating the ballistic missile defense treaty under George W. Bush so, both sides are technically in the wrong.
Not that I think it was a good idea but I believe the US had their reasons. The first was that the Treaty did not include China which is now considered the primary enemy of the US. The second was the treaty excluded naval forces and was focused on land based systems, both conventional and nuclear. The Russians got around this by building a large fleet of small corvettes that could carry pods of ballistic missiles and their shallow draft allowed them to use the numerous waterways throughout Russia including the internal seas.
@@isaacder3i121😂😂😂 sure sure. Iskander was a result of Bush walking away from the anti-balistic missile treaty of 1972. There's a whole video of Putin explaining the conversation he had with Bush when Bush decided to walk away from that treaty and how Russia responded by researching and developing the iskander. In 2019 Trump walked away from the other treaty because trump is a buffoon. He thinks he can strong arm Putin. And now we're back to square 1 because for the past 30 years only morons have been in the white house.

You're right about the patient part and his response to provocation. However don't repeat the MSM lie about many red lines crossed. This was so far only second red line- long range US weapons on russian territory, and Putin responded. The first red line was Offering NATO membership to Ukraine and idiotic UK parliament talking about giving nukes to Ukraine in January 2022, to which Putin responded with the invasion. All the rest of red lines Media talked about for 2 years, were never acknowledged as red lines by Putin and his representatives. Only media was making them up as they go and low level local politicians who were often asked about those. This whole circus with red lines was directed as western(not only) public, to create the illusion that crossing Russian red lines is no big deal, nothing bad will happen. This dangerous illusion was to disable public resistance to Biden administration walking into WW3.
Patience and restraint have nothing to do with this. Putin does everything he can to advance in Ukraine and he’s in over his head. Nuclear escalation will be the absolute end of Putin’s regime and he knows it.

IRBM's are 5500 km range. From Kamchatka, Oreshnik can hit the US missile silos on the mid-West of the country. It makes nukes actually obsolete because Oreshnik gives a similar damage result to a nuke without the radiation, fallout, etc. Consequently, troops can move in immediately instead of waiting for the radiation to reduce.
@galileo_rs and the velocity adds more power. Remember the demonstration about how a projectile as small as a grain of sand shot to earth at a super high velocity has the kilotons of explosive energy? That's what Oreshnik does. A bullet shot with the force of an arm does less damage than that shot with the speed of a gun. But they're both bullets. The same missiles shot at different speeds have different impacts.
All missile tech. For some perspective consider that the west still can't develop a supersonic anti shipping missile and use the agm84 harpoon (mach 0.9). The Soviet/Russian KH22 (mach 4.6) went into production in 1962. Over 60 years ago!

So it is plainly a stupid idea, and her aim here is to simply paint Putin as the cunning aggressor like they have done since the start. The real purpose of the missile, with its multiple kinetic projectiles, is to provide the destructive capability of a nuclear warhead without poisoning the area with radiation. It will replace the very dangerous tactical nuke doctrine.
This has been a problem for a while now on all sides . The Chinese do it ... the Russians do it ... and yes the U.S. does it too ... with weapon systems that can be either or ... Some people have been warning for years that it opens the door to an overreaction because the other sides just can't wait to find out
It does not need explosives, the kinetic energy of an object going that fast (3700m/s) is equivalent to an explosive payload. Added benefit of the kinetic variety is the bunker penetration.

The second was the treaty excluded naval forces and was focused on land based systems, both conventional and nuclear. The same missiles shot at different speeds have different impacts.

Russia is way ahead of the US and NATO in nuke missile tech. We must end Zelensky's escalation.
Nah. The US is better and stronger than Russia.
They wont talk about Early March 2 yrs ago.
All missile tech. For some perspective consider that the west still can't develop a supersonic anti shipping missile and use the agm84 harpoon (mach 0.9). The Soviet/Russian KH22 (mach 4.6) went into production in 1962. Over 60 years ago!
What an idiotic comment. Nuke tech has been planet killing for years. It doesn’t matter if Putin has hypersonic nukes . Soon as he launches that shit, it’s detected and then we launch . So what if it gets there a few minutes slower , everyone on the planet still suffers

Thank you Putin for showing your hand.
That wasnt a hand bud, that was a finger (the middle one), and he showed it to you because he knows that nothing in the west, or anywhere, can stop that missile. Its the hand of God, it falls from the sky, and anything it lands on turns to dust. The projectiles are so fast, and so hot, that the temperatures of the plasma around them is comparable to the temperatures around the Sun, they melt through solid rock, the deepest bunkers do nothing to protect their occupants. The only way the target survives is if the missile malfunctions. But here is the kicker: its not nuclear, meaning they can use them anywhere. What you saw was a massive technological leap, and you couldnt even comprehend it.

The moral of this story is not to mess with Russia and more importantly not mess with Putin.

NATO still stuck playing checkers while Russia plays grand master level Chess and can give check mate anytime Putin wants to.
North Korean troops fallacy being used again.....
It is not in Russia's interest to confuse the US about the nature of the warhead, as james says is likely to lead to mistakes, which given the US mental state will go against Russia (which is why they warned the US before the first test).
Excellent analysis! I'm shocked to see it here on Sky News Australia. You are absolutely correct.
This has been a problem for a while now on all sides . The Chinese do it ... the Russians do it ... and yes the U.S. does it too ... with weapon systems that can be either or ...
Some people have been warning for years that it opens the door to an overreaction because the other sides just can't wait to find out

What a moron the first missile didnt even have any explosive payloads in it. what a imbecile.
It does not need explosives, the kinetic energy of an object going that fast (3700m/s) is equivalent to an explosive payload. Added benefit of the kinetic variety is the bunker penetration.
And yet destroyed key infraesrructure ... unintentionally you think?
