Off-road Adventure in the 4Runner Gets Sketchy! - Dishpan Springs, CA
With a new suspension lift and custom rock sliders, the 4Runner is ready for some rough exploring! Dishpan Springs is an area between Arrowhead and Big Bear Mountains in California with everything from beginner to difficult and technical offroading obstacles.
My Buddy Tom is familiar with the trail and wanted to show me around some of the tougher obstacles here so we could test out our new offroad projects. Both cars held up well, except for a minor incident with my shock and spring ejecting itself from my car.
Overall it was a great trip and a lot of fun. I definitely think I will be back in the area to explore some more!

4Runner Suspension Lift - Bilstein 5100
Просмотров 22 тыс.3 года назад
In this episode the new 4Runned gets its first major offroad mod, a Bilstein 5100 Suspension Lift. The kit is made to lift the Toyota 2.5 inches, and that's exactly the result I got. The front shocks use a snap-ring to hold the weight of the vehicle, which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. but having now tested it myself it seems to hold up fine offroad. All this and more, this time on Full ...

Our $100 Trailer Has Wood! - New Floor and Sides
Просмотров 2995 лет назад
The $100 trailer we impulse bought is finally coming together! We threw on new wood floors and walls and now she's looking great. Home Depot was our source for the wood and trailer chains and we are now completely into the trailer for about $260. Not bad for a full-size utility trailer with brand new floors and sides. We also threw the tailgate back on and took it back out on the road for the f...

The BEST WAY to Clean Shop Gloves! How to Clean Shop Gloves [Part 2]
now show us the car starting
What did you get the seats from. I want to get some for my nova
Seats are from a 98 Honda prelude. They look decent but they are honestly super comfortable for long drives.
the intercooler is not a good mounting point for a skid plate
Just see that face at 00:1 and you will understand me: THIS IS GARBAGE. DO NOT DO IT. It creates a lot of vibration that you feel like the steering wheel will break apart and the car will explode. THIS WAS THE BIGGER STUPIDIITY I EVER DONE. I remove them and put back the OEM. What a stupid Idea, only from a stupid brain.

Next time vice grip the screws to remove the motor, But thank you for the video!!

Could have saved a lot of trouble by simply using the correct motor mounts for the frame stand you have. You have the tall and narrow version, at Summit kit part number: ENS-3-1122G, when you need the short and wide version, at Summit kit part number: ENS-3-1120G.
I also have a 4runner the same year and I would like to let the public know just because you purchased the front control arm your lift is still incomplete. With bigger springs in the rear and stock rear control arms with stock track bar it sucks the tires towards the rear door and changes your wheel base and pinion angle. So with the same kit shown in the video you still need a front diff drop sway bar drop and adjustable rear arms along with adjustable track bar or bracket for track bar and measure your wheel base before you lift it and measure you pinion angle and try to match the best you can to save your ride quality and wear on components...and curb appeal,I find it funny when I see the back tires looking like the truck trying to poop 💩 haha 🤣🤣 all love great video just passing the information
Thanks bro!
Wondered if it’s worth running a weld along the cut lines once you’ve done the bends?
What a legend. My 4Runner will be even more of a beast in no time
Can u install seats on my 69 nova as well I got the seats and bracket already
Do you have the part number for the 5100 front and rear?
Was this a 3in lift or 2in?
i believe its a 2.5 inch lift
Blahblahblahblah
Interesting that we all have came to the same conclusion/method for our gloves, which for me is hot 5 gallon buck of water with palmolive oxy/dawn or even better is simple green, but its more expensive since it takes like a 50/50 mix. So far what ive had the most success with is hot water/dish soap and juuuust the right amount of bleach. Too much and itll ruin the rubbery part by making it hard and not pliable.
How does it work if it is outside of the engine bay?
But how do you take the paint off the plastic cap that was chrome
I don’t wash any more pairs than one, and you can probably do all your gloves in the bucket. Start again. Except use hot water and dish soap and squeeze the gloves inside the water before leaving them inside the bucket overnight. The chemical soap water still breaks apart leftover grime on your gloves, and the heat just makes it easier. Take the gloves after leaving them overnight and let them sit to air dry. You might as well use them wet, but that’s as good as you can get them back to normal.
what oven cleaner u got ? the one in ur description i’ve bought at stores and it’s never enough foam and it always jams 🤦🏽♂️
What spring you use for front? Stock, or med weight?
anti lag flamethrower added
that wheel diagram adjust said alot what another hasn't and purely though purely joyous to see it notwhat it once in location where it wouldn't
that is a hydraulic skid plate ; pizza puff CORRECT
skid slicker not my realm see that
no way ; funnels tooth
don't matter you have
glide slight no upset
launch pad man no logitech why would you assume gls aesthetic on polar temp
For a second there I thought you were about to hit that car lol
Never use a glove while using a grinder but should use a face shield
Hi, i Have question about the rear part, I'm thinking getting bilstein 5100 for my 4th gen 4runner but can I using OEM spring and will it compatible with this longer body struts? Thanks
Wow thanks
Easy for him to say. Most of us do NOT have our motors OUT of our vehicle, when doing this kind of maintenance 😆 But thanks for info 👍
I cleaned mine by blocking it off and throwing the iacv in a 30 gallon trash can
they are designed so that the rear is 1.5 inches higher than the front
which is why people put bigger lift on the front level it out
I’ve got the x-reas on my 2004 4runnner. Just replaced it with a costly complicated system Replaced with Billstein 4600 all around
I'm gonna try to reuse old plates off a different truck. I'll get itcto work
Way late but I'm looking at doing this for my avant. The skid plate on ECS is like $300 lol
You had me at drift !!!
California sucks! Impressive work and video though! Sick s14 btw 😎🤙🏼
Still have car?
hows the alignment ? did you need and upper control arm for the front?
If i drove it a lot i would go with the upper arm to save on the tire wear. I went without it and it has been fine for me. there is some increased outside tire wear but nothing dramatic.
can i use this method on a spraiypainted car without damaging the the rubber or plastic?
NO
I put sound damping material in the floor boards and door panels of my Nova. But man, it is so damn loud in that car!!
I just recently put in a real carpet, more sound deadening, and fixed a lot of loose things rattling. Its a lot better now but i still think im going to have to add soundproofing to the doors, firewall, and trunk. And most of all replace the whistling door seals lol
@@fulltiltdrift I’m hoping once I get my headliner put in, it’ll cut out some noise. I hope!
You are too fast for me
I forgot another question so these are good shocks to do for me I really don't do off routine but I love my forerunner and the suspicion needs to be deleted and replaced
if you dont offroad it, I don't recommend lifting it. it will be far less enjoyable ton drive and get worse gas mileage
