Wouldn't it be easier just to scramble one egg for each muffin & pour in rather than bothering with scissors & chopsticks--at least if you're not Korean?
@@robinlillian9471 Maybe, but you wouldn’t get the same result. The scissors quickly and efficiently breaks up the yolk without mixing it to much, so that you can just gently swirl the yolk and the white with the batter.
Sorry, but it really looks a lot like snot to me. I would have baked it more. This is definitely not the time to give yourself food poisoning with all the hospitals full to bursting.
I've made Maangchi's version of Eggy bread 4 or 5 times now. I love it. I usually double the recipe, use a bigger loaf pan and use an entire cutup cheese stick instead of just a 1/3 in each loaf. The time on cooking changes to about 25 minutes for well done and about 20 for runny. Totally recommend it. [edit] You really need to try it with mozzarella... it becomes the highlight of the loaf... it's delicious.

My sister and I ate so many of these when we were in Seoul!!!! It is one of the Korean foods I miss the most. They were amazing and so cheap! We loved them so much, we even bought one for another tourist lady who was standing by the stand trying to figure out what it was. We told her how delicious they were and bought her one. I know there is no cornmeal in the batter, but it tasted almost sweet and corn bread like.

Emmy, it's such a joy to watch you enjoying food! You are so right, everybody has such different texture and food preferences. Many people combine egg & ketchup, it must be a lovely combination. Interesting how the egg with cheese still tastes like mac & cheese. I like how these are served hot, so the egg is still fresh and moist. I am glad you pointed out that the bread is like a bao in texture, it sounds more appealing that way.
i just itch to make one and with the egg to add a pinch of shredded cheddar, and a spoonful of cooked onion, bell pepper, and sausage, like that may be dinner tomorrow
This is my go to breakfast now. I purchased 3 of the little pans on Amazon which were pretty cheap. Generally the only hard part is deciding whether to use a strip of bacon or cut up bacon in the recipe. If I have no bacon I'll add some extra sugar or slice down the middle and add a bit or syrup or honey. It tastes like pancakes in many ways. I can leave these in the fridge and pop 1 or 2 into the microwave when it's time to go. Generally this saves me so much time in the mornings instead of having to buy it on the go or cooking it then. Wrap the mini-bun in a paper towel and eat it on the way to the car or at work.

Right? I’m from Sweden and I “invented” (lol) this recipe many years ago where I made something like a pancake batter but put it in silicone cupcake moods and baked it so that it puffed up. Took me a few months before I came across Yorkshire pudding and realised that I far from invented anything and just accidentally made a version one of Britain’s most beloved comfort foods... 😂 Really, really good stuff. As far as I understand you brits eat them as part of dinner, but I enjoy them with a bit of jam as a snack. Delicious.
One of my favorite Korean streer foods! So simple and cheap! You can get them for around 50 cents a piece. I always got them when I went to the traditional markets. Now I know how to make them. Yay!!
I haven't read through all the comments but I would say that the 3rd one was runny because of the American cheese and not an underdone egg. As the cheese melts, the oil separated causing the 'cheese product' portion to sink through the yet-to-solidify egg in the center. Just my opinion. I have never had good baking success with processed cheese. It probably would have had a different result if you had used a 'real' cheese like a cheddar or swiss. Cant wait to make these. I'm going to try it with an oversized muffin tin.

I had one from a bakery with bacon and garlic and it was so good. I'm glad they're so simple to make!!
You have to try and make the Korean Steamed Egg (Gyeran-Jim).
Jacques Pépin also taught me the egg white thing, I saw it in his cheese soufflé recipe vid recently! ❤️
One of my favorite Korean streer foods! So simple and cheap! You can get them for around 50 cents a piece. I always got them when I went to the traditional markets. Now I know how to make them. Yay!!

I just made these and they are so delicious!! So so easy and so so good😊
The egg bread looks so good! And I ❤️ your shirt!
Literally stopped the video at 8 mins and ran downstairs to the kitchen and made some lol. They were delicious!
You have to cook the mix a little bit before adding the egg, you can add a little bit of sugar on top of the egg and some pine nuts too
