Thank you for the informative video, if I am so fortunate as to purchase a ct-125, that is the first modification I would make

I’m doing this to my bike ASAP! Did you notice the front sprocket fouling your ABS system? Also I’ve read elsewhere that the 42T in the rear will need a bigger chain. Interested in how your CT performed in other conditions with the upgrade. Thanks so much for posting such helpful content.

      Hey There
I did use the factory chain and yes. The ABS light flashes
Currently my wife has the CT in California and has been riding it around the country side with all smiles.
      Cheers

Maybe consider a front wheel electric hub motor utilize the rear rack for a battery mount but the center post cargo rack for an e.c.u. controller mount

i have been playing with gears also. i bought mine thinking i would be doing alot of off roading. but i found out around here if you hit the grass someone will call the cops on you. so i have been looking at keeping it stock but trying to get a little more speed out of it. i went from a 13/36 a;; the way to a 15/41 i went for the stock 14/39 2.78 gear to a 15/36 2.40 that was WAY to high geared for me at 185 pounds i lost speed and lots of power. to a 13/41 3.15 gear ratio and it did give me more power but i lost 12 mph ending up so far going to the 15/39 2.60 my speedometer is now 3 mph slow when it was 2 mph fast. and when everything is good i did seem to gaim 3 to 4 mph and if i lost power i dont see it. so i'm guessing getting anymore speed with out doing engine work is out of the question. so as much as i love my little trail and not really able to go off roading i think i might sell it.

Where did you get the 13T countershaft sprocket? I heard that there isn’t one available for the 2023 JA65 model yet.

It's a shame Honda didn't fit the original lower range gear box to this bike.

I agree it would have been nice.
Part two of this video will really show what changing the gearing does for these little bikes.
      Thank you for watching.
      Cheers.

hi. nice video. did the ABS light stay on after you swapped the sorockets?

      Thanks for watching.
It starts flashing when over 30MPH
Haven’t resolved it yet. But since it rides gravel and trails more the highway. I’ve not looked into fixing that issue

Did this change the top speed any?

    • @EverythingOutdoorswithTito
      @EverythingOutdoorswithTito  Год назад +3

So it actually made it easier to reach and maintain top speed, I was
Expecting it to be slower but between my house and the first gravel road which is uphill alittle bit. It struggled to reach 50. And only would get to about 48.
After the gearing change it reached 54-55 in the same stretch. Higher rpm of course but it felt fine , more testing on that to come for sure. And I will probably post a short for others to see
If there is any thing you’d like to see tested be sure to let me know. Maybe I can make it happen
      Thanks for watching
      Cheers.

Are you measuring top speed by the speedometer or GPS?

    • @EverythingOutdoorswithTito
      @EverythingOutdoorswithTito  Год назад +3

@@xrscott I’m going to do a top speed test later this week since so many are interested, I’ll just to post it over the weekend , gonna try and have a GPS positioned next to the speedometer so we can see how much it is off
      Cheers.

What's your top speed now ?

And they call it a “trail” bike?

    • @EverythingOutdoorswithTito

Right ! Only with some modifications
Honda missed the mark but Atleast gave the platform to modify and improve

  • @RitaElaineHeltonBarker-uz4sz

Should have left it 13 to 38 to see what that does

changing two variables at once makes it impossible to test or prove the "cause" of anything that changes.

Well in this case it proved it can climb hills better then stock and it proved it has better traction then stock
So I’m not sure what you’re referring to
      But thanks for watching
      Cheers.
