      Other then the abs light flashing. It’s still a blast to play on. Might start a new video series on it seeing how it does on the Colorado passes above 12000ft. Just finished doing most of them on the ktm 690 and can’t help but wonder how the little Honda would do. So that’s the new plan.

    i have been playing with gears also. i bought mine thinking i would be doing alot of off roading. but i found out around here if you hit the grass someone will call the cops on you. so i have been looking at keeping it stock but trying to get a little more speed out of it. i went from a 13/36 a;; the way to a 15/41 i went for the stock 14/39 2.78 gear to a 15/36 2.40 that was WAY to high geared for me at 185 pounds i lost speed and lots of power. to a 13/41 3.15 gear ratio and it did give me more power but i lost 12 mph ending up so far going to the 15/39 2.60 my speedometer is now 3 mph slow when it was 2 mph fast. and when everything is good i did seem to gaim 3 to 4 mph and if i lost power i dont see it. so i'm guessing getting anymore speed with out doing engine work is out of the question. so as much as i love my little trail and not really able to go off roading i think i might sell it.

    WOW, great video, fantastic riding country! I am picking up my new 24 Trail (Yellow) sometime this week and will definitely put the mods you did for this video to good use. Any test done on how it affected highway top speeds? Also I have been hearing some reports that changing the gearing somehow affects the ABS sensor and kicks out errors at highway speeds. I am mostly going to use mine off road. Thanks again for the great vista eye candy!

    • @EverythingOutdoorswithTito
      @EverythingOutdoorswithTito 5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching Don’t really ride highway with it much It will still do 55mph But to answer your question. Yes the ABS light flashes when above 30 mph. And in my opinion I’m glad it turns ABS off because dirt/gravel and ABS don’t mix well together Doesn’t bother me one bit. And after awhile you don’t even notice the light anymore.

      @@EverythingOutdoorswithTito Thanks, IMO Honda missed a golden opportunity here by not adding a lower gear under the neutral position. By leaving neutral between 1st and 2nd where normal motorcycles are, you could just start out in second easily on flatter ground or drop down to "granny low" like an old Ford pickup for those times when starting out up a steeper hill. Might not need any sprocket changes that way and at a much cheaper build price than a "low range".

    Don't sugar coat it, the Gen 2 engine is lack luster at best, even dropping the gear ratio down doesn't help. The Gen 1 engine can be improved with multiple BBK options. None for the Gen 2 engine. The Gen 1 has three options: the 143cc, 162cc and the 181cc BBk. As long as you do proper head modifications with these BBK's to keep the compression close to stop, you should have little to no problems with them and a simple Shinko tire mod with a 42T rear sprocket is all you need to climb most any road or trail around. If you still can't get up a hill, slap a set of full knobs by Camel on the bike and throw on a 45T rear sprocket and it WILL go up that hill. We've been doing it since 2020 here in Thailand.... Leave the stock 14T front sprocket on the bike as messing with that seems to upset the ABS system..... Like I said, we've been working these bikes since they first came out, the Gen 1 bike is the way to go and the Gen 2 cannot get the necessary power output as Honda purposely made the block to cylinder studs to close to the cylinder sleeves as to not be able to bore the cylinder out to accommodate a larger piston. Not trying to bust your chops, just letting you know that we've been working on this model since 2020 and what we've come up with seems to work pretty good. Watch my channel, we're going to setup my CT to ride in a Thai Enduro. They don't have easy enduros here in Thailand......

    Just seeing it on the steepest climb and hearing the engine rev on the throttle and see that the rear wheel does nothing makes me think I wouldn't like this automatic clutch. BTW nice sand color not available here in canada .I better find an old CT Trail 90, paint it to my liking and put a Lifan 150 with manual clutch on it. Too bad I like F.I. .

    I don't believe that is target fixation, looks to me like not having the confidence to get sharper steer around that heavily gravelled corner, then finding herself slowly getting pushed over towards the ruts and not being able to get back in the middle because of the camber and gravel, then when there was no pulling it back, she tried to put her foot down whilst going too fast to do that, then the foot stutters twice, the bike leans and steers into fence. No stopping it now.. i suppose looking at lean angle, target fixation may have caused some of the proceeding events..
