- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Blue Marvel." From Adam Brashear's history as a fullback and genius Theoretical physicist and Electrical Engineering PhD at Cornell University, his accidental exposure to anti-matter radiation from an experiment on the "Negative Zone," becoming a stable and vastly powerful living "anti-matter generator," battles with his former friend turned supervillain named "Anti-Man," the social climate of the 1960's leading to uneasiness him being such a powerful black superhero, his temporarily forsaking his accomplishments as a U.S. Marine and receiving a "Presidential Medal of Freedom" as the "Blue Marvel," visits to the moon and becoming close friends with "Uatu the Watcher," multiple successful battles against some of the strongest beings in the Marvel Universe including the Sentry, Hulk, King Hyperion, Ms. Marvel, Ares, Wonder Man, Iron Man, and the Avengers, to his becoming a member of Luke Cage's Mighty Avengers; Let's take a look at this Marvel superhero, and one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic books and science fiction characters.

The Blue Marvel is one of my all time favorites. He's as strong as superman, super smart, and he has some great feats of strength and skill. But they don't have nearly enough content about him, they need more stories involving him.

Blue Marvel, should logically be number 1, cuz people choose their favorites based on personal preferences, biases and overall iconic image than logic. In a very simple and summarized way, Adam being an intellectual genius himself explains to both Reed and Tony about who, what and how he came to be, and how his powers work and they being among the foremost science experts in the series believed it . Blue Marvel is easily the most complete and most powerful superhero from Earth in Marvel, no questions asked. He doesn't have a broken psyche, he has a family,has children, is very well respected amongst his peers and contemporaries in both science and superhero business, his intellect matches and rivals that of Doom as said by Reed himself, and exceeds that of Reed and Tony when it comes to matter and atomic principles and studies. And to call him 'strongest' will be an understatement,seriously. Imo, the dude might be the most powerful and most efficient energy producer in Marvel, as his powers are based on anti-matter and he has control over it like breathing, hence he proves he is the pinnacle in both quality and quantity of energy manipulation in all of Marvel, just short of cosmic and abstract beings. For summation, anti-matter is the most potent source of energy in the universe , regardless it's in fiction or real life as the energy produced from a fraction of anti-matter is colossal in intensity compared to nuclear fission or fusion.
Feats :-
- He defeated Anti-Man all by himself who had just left the Sentry wobbled and in shock in a single punch, and that too reluctantly cuz he was his only friend.
- He one shotted a pissed off Sentry into space with the Sentry not even realizing what happened whilst he was team busting the rest of the Avengers.
- One shot a friggin Beyonder
- With just a miniscule fraction of the hint of his power he supercharges Monica Rambeau to Binary levels. And that's not even a power feat but more about how precise and efficient he is at manipulating energy via his anti-matter mastery.
- He defeated an alternate version of Hyperion called King Hyperion who himself had slaughtered Thors, Hulks, Herculeses,Sentries and other physically powerful beings of his and other universes.
- Cud easily split the moon in half without a thought as stated by the Watcher himself to his face.
- He and his team literally changed Galactus from planet-eater to life giver.
- He travelled across the most powerful and enigmatic planes of reality in all of Marvel like the place of Beyonders, the White Hot Room of the Phoenix Force, and the place where the One Above All resides, all of that with a sense of curiosity and learning, and didn't lose his mind through those experiences and instead was enlightened even more.
The only reason he doesn't come up much, or isn't all that prominent is literally cuz he's black. During one of his earliest superhero exploits when he fought Anti-Man, his face gets exposed and everyone gets to know that he's black, and the President himself reluctantly asks him to retire as the people of the world can't stand seeing a black superhero be so perfect and all powerful, and he being considerate enough to leave it all behind.
He's the best possible homage to the Superman we have in Marvel, and is one of my three top most favorite Marvel characters EVER.

NOS-3RD GEN Blue Marvel is a fairly young hero (like 10 years old) and he’s not aaaall that well known. Black panther has been long established and is very well known. I wouldn’t hold your breath for a Blue Marvel movie.
Luke Cage is pretty good for street level terms. He got so OP in the comics he became a full time avenger.

@@JR-ju3kj I am all for more non white heroes in movies but please don’t look to a production company in the western world i.e. Europe, Oceania (not including Melanesia), or the Americas to make that happen (of course exceptions can be made for the aboriginals in Australia or other groups indigenous to those areas like American Indians).
If you want more movies with black super heroes you should try to petition an African production company.
For example the african country of Nigeria has its very own Nollywood which is famous all over the world for producing movies featuring a lot of black people.
There is a good chance that some people in Nollywood are interested in breaking into the super hero market.
This should have been before captain marvel. I looked him up and his back story is amazing.

Population ‘potentially limitless' not infinite. What people don't get is that hulk's power is progressive I.e it gradually increases. Someone sufficiently stronger could kill him before he reaches or exceeds that person's power level. Plus once you can manipulate matter & energy on a molecular level, you could literally disassemble hulk's body & he won't heal from that. I love hulk but if blue marvel wanted to, he could with his speed & abilities kill hulk before he even processed what happened.

He's an amazing character..and with the ill representation of black Superheroes in the comics and movies... introducing Blue Marvel into the MCU i think, would be ground breaking just like that of the Black Panther. guyverjay They could always nerf Blue Marvel. They nerfed/buffed certain heroes. Hulk/Thor/Odin aren’t as insane as the comics, Cap is Super human in the MCU, Strange (at the moment) is no where near his full power in the MCU, Scarlett Witch has weaker abilities (very minimal reality warping abilities), etc.
I think if they bring in Blue Marvel, they would have to tone down his strength to slightly above Thor/Hulk level, maybe a little below Thanos (without the stones, and depending on how strong Thanos is in IW)

Not many talk about him, and I enjoyed this. I knew all his powers and you are right the only person that could hold his own with him is Sentry and even then that is until he is knocked out. Great video, love all the research.
