Picking Up A Mercedes SLK 350 From The Car Auction

Today I went to the Manheim car auction for the first time ever to pick up my buddies 2006 Mercedes SLK 350 Roadster that he bought. The idea is straightforward; go to auction lot, pick up car, drive off but this place was a ghost town and I had quite the adventure finding the car. Watch to see some of the cool cars I found and if I'm walking or driving home.

Lovely cars these SLKs: reliable, very quick off the mark and not expensive to run - brilliant cruising cars! Plus they look amazing with the outward McLaren SLR body lines, and the vario convertible roof is a brilliant 'Transformer' type gadget indeed. I have the same 2006 R171 model in black, for 4 years now as my daily driver with 85k on the clock.
Best car I've owned, honestly - I'm smitten with it (then again, I'm easy to please and tend to be more of a cyclist - enjoying 2 wheels more than 4). BUT for a car, its a real head turner. I think along with the SLK 55AMG, the R171 SLK are the best looking of the SLK & SLC models made. Then, that's just my silly opinion.
