Just found your channel. Nice to see British agriculture again after leaving it and moving to the USA 11 years ago. I cover 3700ha here with just two of us. 3t/ha makes it quite easy really 😂
Its good to see the wildlife protection guy talking about catching & snaring/netting the rabbits as they bolt from their burrows with ferrets in hot pursuit. These hunting skills were widely known years ago, peoples lives literally depended upon them. Alas, in these modern times & the age of the Supermarkets, tracking, hunting & catching our food become bygone days. Keep the videos coming peoples of PX Farms, your audience is growing along with your crops. 😀
We’ve just updated our sprayer to a new style Horsch self propelled used to run a Bateman. We demo’d just about every sprayer out there but the Horsch was leagues in front of everything else in terms of tech and user comfort! The new Horsch cab is just a brilliant place to be!
Excellent video as always covering a tremendous number of issues and topics. It’s wonderful to see farming done properly with such care and thought for the natural world. Great to see a ferreter in action keeping pests under control. I envy the successful job applicant; there can be few more rewarding, healthy careers nor better, more caring employers. Farm safely and take care.
Shed of dreams really taking shape , interesting amount of effort going into rabbit control sounds like a major nightmare. Glad to hear you are always so strong on personnel training and to the wider farmer community. Must of us give equipment a winter service and going over while PX go even further with paint touch up and a polish. Your equipment is a credit to the business. Good update as always . Who ever you appoint to your staff will be one very fortunate person. Wish i was younger would apply myself.
Thank you James for promoting all the charitable contributions of the Worshipful Company of Farmers across the whole farming industry. We value your support as a fellow active livery man making a real difference to so many. Richard Crane, Master Farmer 24/25
Many thanks for the videos. So good to see how all the machinery is looked after and prepared for next season. I was surprised to see the amount of over drilling on the headlands ,particularly with modern technology.
HI James yet another great video you sure covered a lot of subjects, always seems to be lots going on on the farm even in the winter months with machine maintenance and estate management. The shed of dreams is really taking shape now looking at the drone footage and it will soon be weatherproof and ready for concreting, Sandy does a great job on the camera he is a natural like yourself my brothers friend saw one of your trucks on the road last week and he commented how smart it looked James so people do notice all the hard work your team do so please pass that on to the drivers. Interesting to see Smithfield Market that must have been the 100 years or more and a great thing you do for the charity helping young farmers you are a true rare gentleman farmer giving something back to the industry, the drilled land is looking good with the different drills used it will be interesting to see if that effects the yield in the 2025 harvest.
It would be good to see a British made sprayer on your farms, you are very patriotic to Germany! We run a Sands but there’s quite a few other makes available.
I'm glad to see you have full-time pest control and have covered it on this video, yet another great update shed is looking good. Well done, James and the team, will have to see if the wife wants to relocate to Cambridge 😂😂 .
Hi James a great video, I do think it's sad to that places like Smith field is closing. I think we need to get back to farming as it was , as well as where food comes from and shop locally as well.
Another sound update James and at a time where there is much negativity, good to once again witness your positivity. As has been said, think you already have the best sprayer on the market - I guess Sandy will have input on this one. Keep up the good work
I think you need to advertise for a operator theres a massive difference to a driver and a operator especially in these small windows in difficult conditions
For the size of your farming operations, I believe self propelled sprayers are the way to go. Either Horsch, Bateman or Knight. Keep up the good work. 👍
Would be interesting to see establishment and tillers m2 on the wider spacing of the avatar We’re currently looking at one two things that worry me are the 25cm row spacings but also the amount of bare soil between the rows, easy life for weeds?
Looking forward to the drill comparison . Why not look at the British built self propelled sprayers and get some demos, always nice to support home market built if possible!
We have a sam horizon 6kL 36n and we are pleased compared to the bateman beforehand at the same 6k 36m. Sans have moved to one model for all being the infinity max spec could be 42/48m at 8kL i think
I’d stick to your 36 meter runs in well with your ctf, I run a 42 meter sprayer which is great but feel 48 meter is getting a little wide for this country. I would say Horsch would continue to give you best price and backup if not try a condor.
James, I wouldn't start a diet before Christmas! I bet what will happen is cousin Michael will put 2 stone on over the festive period. So you will both be on an equal footing in the New Year and can start again😉. Re the sprayers Sandy was talking about. It would be really good to have a look at some British made machines. That is one bit of equipment we do lead the way in with plenty of choice, Bateman, Househam and Sands..etc. Not sure the German manufacturer Michael Horsch should be getting all your business. Especially when there are other excellent home produced options. As a drill-man I am looking forward to Sundays addition showing the established of the different drills used this Autumn.
Great video James thanks very professional and interesting as always . You have a Kind and well mannered and spoken approach and explanation. I’m moving hopefully next year down to Suffolk (from Scotland) so might be looking for a farming job. Tom Macpherson
I’ve had househam, Bateman, John Deere and now Horsch. Bateman best for back up and cost of parts. JD lovely to operate but poor boom control. Horsch very close to JD to operate visibility better and boom is outstanding 36m parts pricing not to bad either.
I did notice the different linkage on the Fendt crawler at the start of the video, any reason why it is different, Great video's i look forward to watching them, Merry christmas to you and your team,
R I P Smithfield & Billingsgate ☠️ End of farming legacy in London will be sadly missed 😢 Just like the old town markets of yore! Is there anything left of this green & pleasant land off the dreaded chopping board 🥵
Does this also mean the demise of the whole London Markets Corporation? Stratford has gone leaving Spitalfields, Borough, New Covent Garden & Western International Fruit & Vegetable Markets left. A sad time if the Nation loses them all. I believe Borough Market by London Bridge dates back to the 15th Century & the reign of Henry VIII. It's next to Southwark Church & Clink Street where notorious Medieval Clink Prison stands, now a fascinating museum. 😀
Thanks for this always a pleasure to get the run down on Agri business as opposed to the back “of a fag packet” farming which still goes on, I’m afraid the next year or two will sort many inefficient businesses out. How many rabbits did they catch I must have missed the catch? Thanks
Thanks for yet another brilliant informative video, regards Smithfield I guess it must have some form of listing? Does that mean some form of shopping center??
James PX farms. Thank you all for your contribution to my knowledge of arable farming. I am really hooked on your podcast. May I take this opportunity ofwishing you, your family, and staff "Nadolig llawen a flwyddyn newydd dda" Diolch yn fawr iawn 🏴🏴
nice video as always - the sound was a bit pants sometimes maybe the mic too far away? dont suppose youd consider a 56 year old to take the reigns and step into a baby step of Grahams roll? be safe from essex
Great videos excellent content and information but could offer constructive criticism as to some of the lighting and sound on the videos Also did you consider solar on the roof of the new shed ??
I think you should stick with what you've got or at least a brand made over the channel. A lot here are saying british but being honest they're just not built to the same quality. Most sprayers built here are on shorter rims which means larger ruts travelling and they're not high capacity 6/7/8000ltrs+ which for your operation i would think is a must. Be nice to maybe see the likes of Dammanns tri axle selfpropelled or an agrifac as a comparison.
More cultural and heritage destruction if the closure of Smithfield goes ahead. It's not just a market, not just about agriculture, Smithfield is a national treasure, a hub and part of what made Great Britain.
Hi James, as per my previous comment on a past episode, are you looking for experienced tractor drivers or are you willing to accept someone with no experience and offer to train that person. Cheers Alex
Just found your channel. Nice to see British agriculture again after leaving it and moving to the USA 11 years ago. I cover 3700ha here with just two of us. 3t/ha makes it quite easy really 😂
As a former farmer i enjoy watching with intrest, very informative well done
All looking good James. You are a good ambassador for the Farming industry. Keep the good work up.👍

It's nice to see expensive machinery put away clean and tidy.
Really enjoyed the ferret man, really good to show all the aspects of growing up in countryside
Excellent video as always covering a tremendous number of issues and topics. It’s wonderful to see farming done properly with such care and thought for the natural world. Great to see a bit more of James from Manns who has been keeping you going with the combines all season 👍
😂👍
Superb again James very interesting. What a great opportunity for someone to come and work with you and your team.
Many thanks for the videos. So good to see how all the machinery is looked after and prepared for next season. I was surprised to see the amount of over drilling on the headlands ,particularly with modern technology.
Great video again James, great to see the ferret man most people wouldn’t show that .Top man 👍🏻👍🏻

Always good to hear your farm chat and nice touch to try and include others - even if some are not so keen!
HI James yet another great video you sure covered a lot of subjects, always seems to be lots going on on the farm even in the winter months with machine maintenance and estate management.

Thanks for the update James ,would be nice to maybe see more of the ferreting
You seem to be still busy one way or another
Hi James as usual another great update of your farm . AGRIFAC is the the sprayer to go for very well built the 6th one is coming to us next year 56m.
Good video again
Thanks for another interesting video James.
Keep them coming! 😃
I'm glad to see you have full-time pest control and have covered it on this video, yet another great update shed is looking good. Well done, James and the team, will have to see if the wife wants to relocate to Cambridge 😂😂 .
Another great update James, its nice to how you go through the machines and service them . Looking forward to the Sunday update .
You can't beat an Agrifac sprayer! Best on the market 👌 Vaderstad 800s drill. Best drill ever made 👍
Hi James , once again, another great video. It's great to see the updates on the building works.
I would look at a bateman with Pulse Width Modulation. It will allow you to open up a lot more spraying windows during difficult weather periods.
Good video ❤the ferreting nice to see top man when It comes to hunting your lucky to have him on your side
Hi James a great video, I do think it's sad to that places like Smith field is closing.

Great video James looking forward In seeing the new shed finished
I liked the aerial views
Another great video , really look forward each week to both updates ,
Wow 9,000 rabbits nice little income at today’s prices looking at£31,500 to £36,000 pounds.
Shhh he doesn't tell James that!
Another first class vlog. Thank you James.
Great catch up video James the new building is looking pretty smart 👍👍
Top video as always, love the new shed, you have a great team. 👌
best of luck with the hiring james. take care.
I would have thought for the amount you are doing an agrifac would be one of the only other sprayers to compete with a horsh
For the size of your farming operations, I believe self propelled sprayers are the way to go. Either Horsch, Bateman or Knight. Keep up the good work. 👍
Great video….. so many aspects/insights to it 👌🏻😍 was there a problem with the 🎤 in some parts of the video 🤔
Love the videos James u are a brilliant company
Hi James & Team Nice one Thanks again
Another great interesting video James cheers.
Greetings from the cold steppes of Astana in Kazakhstan, minus 20 C. Great video as always,

Agrifac Great Brand we had one for 8 years so far very reliable & Competent!
@@markpayne3218 long shot I know - but not Mark Payne from Moulton Agri. by any chance?
Would be interesting to see establishment and tillers m2 on the wider spacing of the avatar
We’re currently looking at one two things that worry me are the 25cm row spacings but also the amount of bare soil between the rows, easy life for weeds?
Bateman or Horsch. At least you can pop down and pick up a part day or night of needed. PWM is a great step forward.
Another cracking video James and team , if u need roof trusses for the houses your building try Bartram at sandy there deliver driver is amazing 😉
great video james
Are you going to put solar panels on that beautiful new shed? It looks really good. lovely to see equipment polished up!
Definitely should try the Amazone self propelled sprayer , best I've seen to date
The new sprayer should say BUILT IN GREAT BRITAIN
Hi James rather cheeky about us folk from Norfolk 😜😜😜
Gives me tremendous joy
Looking forward to the drill comparison . Why not look at the British built self propelled sprayers and get some demos, always nice to support home market built if possible!
James great video as always.
it would be a dream to work on a farm like yours
Having spent a significant amount of time around class products I could tell you which Norfolk fitter the van belongs to!!
very impressed with my Agrifac condor 5, 25cm PWM is brilliant round headlands.
excellent as usual ,
Great video again. Any thoughts on a biomass boiler to run the dryer, workshops, offices and houses? Or a digester for power and heat?
Accident on a road by us yesterday your right James if you want to meet people spend an hour directing traffic😂
We have a sam horizon 6kL 36n and we are pleased compared to the bateman beforehand at the same 6k 36m. Sans have moved to one model for all being the infinity max spec could be 42/48m at 8kL i think

Agrifac and Bateman are meant to be really good
Brilliant video again as always gents ❤ and what a company to be able to get an opportunity to work in, I wish I was local enough to apply ❤️❤️

Wont beat a Horsch Leeb, the new models are great
Agrifac for sure 👌

@ So sad to hear that and Royal Mail will be gone too 🥹
How can something survive for 100s of years , suddenly not be suitable.. Things like this should fail on an accounting measure.
Has a international truck driver I will be happy not going to Smith'
Meat market and London charge for HGV trucks
Thanks for this always a pleasure to get the run down on Agri business as opposed to the back “of a fag packet” farming which still goes on, I’m afraid the next year or two will sort many inefficient businesses out.
