And the headcrab soldier throwing the scientist trough the glass!!! So many thanks for posting this and bringing back my old childhood memories!!!!!!!!
I know this comment is 4 years old, but so you know a fan remake of this game is being developped under the name "Operation Black Mesa". On another note, this game here is the expansion of game Half-Life. And Half-Life alredy has a released remake: "Black Mesa". - that game is awesome.
I loved this game as a kid. When toys were still in with kids and computer games were on the rise beyond consoles, this game left a lot to the imagination and I'd use my toys to mimic and play out scenarios of this game. Ah, good times.

What game? This works in Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, etc, but not in Counter-Strike or Condition Zero. Please change the value of default_fov to 130, 150, etc... in game to see the changes. And I have a question, do you play on Steam? Sorry for my bad english XD
Freeman Vs Shepard, Crowbar Vs Wrench, the final scene of Half Life 3... G-Man gets to ride on top of the winner like a hick on a hog while Barney gets to watch.
My top 3 for these games and add-ons for the Goldsrc engine would be: 1. Half-Life 1 2: Opposing Force 3: Half-Life: Blue Shift Opposing Force was really good, but it lacked the atmosphere that the first Half-Life had.

@MateuuuuuszPolska yes it is. the general consensus will consider the Gearbox expansions canon (even though still ambiguous) unless Valve chooses to specifically contradict some of all the events depicted, in which case Valve has the hypothetical 'right of way'

@Bastiest half life is still one of THEE BEST. they gave this game the first-person mode, no cutscenes either, you play it the whole tiime! with loading breaks though, its still amazing! cod is no where near a series this good, this is like a metal gear solid series now!!

I initially thought that was a schematic for the Gravity Gun at 53:40... I've never played this before, so I don't know much about the game and its references. Cool playthrough. :)
@Ykskolme This isn't Freeman, silly you. There were many scientists who travelled to Xen, wearing HEV suits similar to the one which was used by Gordon - and died there. While playing as Freeman in original HL campaign, you may find their bodies, as well.
that's the valve HD pack, which they've only JUST NOW added has an option that can be enabled under the video setting on the steam version, the fan made HD packs are much better in my opinion :D

1:23:43 at this part how do you get to all the loot around the area? i can't seem to make the jump to the big platform and die of fall damage landing on the others
@MrRomania123 Oh, com'on. There wasn't a single person who wouldn't have played Duke Nukem 3D or Doom 2 all the time and you are saying that FPS games weren't appreciaded enough? Hell, I can't even name a single guy who wouldn't have played Quake back in the days let alone Quake 2.

I was playing half life opposing force on steam and I clicked on the wide screen aspect ratio, and it is stuck at this dead horrible zoomed in look, I dont know how to change the aspect ratio back to normal, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it please some one help.
how do u get a barnicle as a weapon and when (barnicles are those red things hanging from the silling and there tonges stick out to grab ppl by the neck and eat off there head)

For the Desert Eagle: use the laser sight damn it! You'll hit your target more easily, and you wont have to waste too much .357 rounds.
Shephard is the coolest character, imo.. I hope he comes back in HL 3

If all you see a black screen after the image flashes on screen, add "-windowed" as the launch options.
@psyjax its worth it, it combines problem solving and shooting at the same time, HALF LIFE 2 even won alot of awards because of this combination

I've finished blueshift, busy with opposing force and struggling with half life 1, and its de hardest one
This is probibly one of the most saddest emotional half life game
