Hey I own a raptor and I’m going to be honest....My 2017, had valve chest replaced at 25000km, irratic sound in engine in timing 70000kms timing chain stretched so ford replace new chains and 4 cam phasers as precaution, steering wheel cover ripped when I honked horn for no reason when it got heat soaked in sun ford said they would not cover that one 😂 .secondary horn failed twice so far, back right window switch failed, doors squeaky like fuck so ford replaced them all, I’m at 95 kms now. I’m nearly sure I’m missing other stuff on warranty. I had a Toyota FJ for 4 years from new I only ever had to replace my drivers door check strap under warranty from 5 to 140000 kms. I gave both cars the same abuse and honestly I rest my case with regards quality compared other brands. Bought because it was big comfortable and a head turner to be honest I rather drive a fj/thundra/land cruiser and will never buy this over rated f-150 ever again 😂.
@@Teamotoring yea thats crazy they want you to pay so much money and then have to deal with all that headache. I have a 2018 silverado but I dont beat on it. I'm not sure it could take it. I have surprised a few maximas, amongst other cars, that didn't know what a 6.2 could do from a red light.
Is there any more information on that FLIR camera with factory display integration? Edit 7/27/19: Found out there is a company called NAVTV who makes a "COD-4" module that adds an Aux port for the factory display. This is what allows the FLIR PathFindIR™ II to connect to the factory display. The COD-4 module is in beta testing and not yet in production. Just wanted to post this here in case anyone else was interested.
That's exactly correct. I was lucky enough to get one of the first prototypes of the COD-4. I believe that it's available for the Superduties, but not for the Raptors as of now.
Does the truck tend to overheat the engine though with the radiator partially blocked now? I would worry about low speed offroading in Moab heat now...
A lot of people that live in very hot climates have run this setup without issue. If it’s a concern you can install a lower thermostat like a 160 or 170.
Wally Pierre from what I understand it’s the Flir Pathfinder 2 and it’s using an integration harness made by a company called NavTV. It’s one of the coolest mods I’ve seen.
There may be some slight differences but I think Paul at Swarf Works did test fit on a regular F150. Shoot him an email and he can let you know what works and doesn’t.
@@KidRichmond I scanned the website and did not find any info about the light bar, also Swarfworks instagram page did not contain any information about the light bar setup. Looks very clean and sturdy, would like to know if i can buy one!
I run a raptor group and get to see what people have done and most of the people with issues have done zero mods, not even wheel upgrades so I’m going to say engine mods aren’t the issue. If it were Ford wouldn’t be spending so much money on their engineering team to continually revise the cam phasers. Ecoboost engines are not known for their longevity. My engine failed just after 2k miles on the odometer.
Look Awesome, After installing the winch with bracket how much did it lowered the front with that extra weight up front and how does it drive now after install, Thanks
Richard Aguilar yes. With the added weight it drops about a 1/2” on average though it depends on what your current suspension setup is. You’ll get more nose dive if you don’t account for the added weight with proper spring adjustment. There’s a few options, you can add a leveling perch to factory shocks which is preloading the spring or you can get adjustable coilovers or swap the coil spring out for a new heavier spring rate.
@@KidRichmond What route did you go? I am looking at possibly upgrading to the Factory Race Fox 3.0s with the Live Valve and reservoir which is supposed to raise the truck height a couple inches (compensate for the weight increase). Also, could you provide more info on your light bar mount / camera mounting system? Thanks, nice build!
AERO Legion I’ve since moved on from a raptor but here’s what I did on mine when I had it. Replaced leafs with Icon leafs, installed Icon bump stop kit and swapped all shocks for Fox factory racing series. Coilovers have an adjustable perch and you can get the front up a few inches. Don’t expect those Fox shocks to perform well right out the box though. They need a lot of custom tuning.
The spool light is a GREAT idea.👍
I love the million dollars worth of LP9's.
Fantastic setup. I wish I had a good shop near me to do the install.
Such an awesome truck. Too bad they have soo many issues. Great content and great editing, as always.
What issues?

I think raptor will looks more cool when it comes out of factory with a winch

Googling this right now!....
Great video!!! Did you change out your front springs when you added your winch?
Always quality video and content bro!
Thank you

I want to know more about the flir system , how does it work ?

Kid Richmond thank you , im going to do that

how much for everything
So much baja!!!
Where can I purchase this whole kit?
More info on light bar please.
Check out SwarfWorks.com for more info on the light bar. Not sure if he’s got it listed but I think it’s available.

Is it possible that all these people that have had problems with their raptors messed with the engine, tuning etc?

Kid Richmond damn, I better get on with my modding! 😂😂😂
We need a work together soon .

I don't care for the yellow lighting. I would do white or blue honestly...
The yellow lighting serves a functional purpose.
What functional purpose is that?
