Emiya’s growth in FGO is basically how Shirou goes from a simple mage to an OP badass
Our boy is finally as good as he deserves to be now we just have to wait for muramasa

it's like he starts out behind since he like one of the only heroes without a special weapon like most heroic spirits though it is impressive how he is a 4 star considering he's a normal dude who worked himself to be this good so in order to stay up Emiya trained even more so he can stay up to date with other heroes.
yeh, 1st he got hawkeye which made him 1 of the best crit servants in the game, and now this OP addition. being an MC pays off

Well, looks my Lvl90 1/10/10 NP4 Emiya is more or less set for the strengthening quest!
What a journey. From one of the worst servants to one of the best. Can't wait to see his buff in NA.
If you include initial design then it went Best->Worst->Damn Good->Almost back to full power. He was originally designed to have an Arts NP but DW felt it was too strong.
Well, after seeing a 220% NP Refund, I can understand where they were coming from...:)

@@ebering4.039 That's not really relevant. You need Castoria for that and there's a 5 year gap between her release & Emiya's. Actually until Tammy came out Boudica was the only servant who could give other party members Arts up. Plus the same update that gave us Castoria also gave Emiya his Arts NP back so it's clearly not much of an issue.

The sad/funny thing is, that I can see him getting that. Maybe a 7 hit invuln, but for each hit, he gets like 200damage. Or a one-turn Castoria Invuln

i got him from the guaranteed 4star back on the first onigashima event. after that he spook me to np5. guess i ill save 5 grails for him to get him to 100
I've been playing the NA version since Day 1, and I got him from a 4-star ticket that we got a week after the game came out not really understanding just how weak he actually was then. Worse yet, I neglected him once I got Gilgamesh off a summon ticket immediately after. Now he's the second non-welfare 4-star that I managed to get to NP5.

My Emiya is only bond 9, NP 3, 6/6/9. He was my first 4* servant and it seems he likes spooking me

My Jeanne is crying in a corner by now. But i suppose having been salty to have gotten only Emiyas as 4*-pulls in the beginning (he's np4 now), kinda puffed up in smoke as he is by far my strongest archer (Euryale only outdos him against male Sabers). He easily outdoes Napoleon (whos Np hits like a wet noodle sadly) and even Ishtar. It's kinda comical. Only gripe i kinda have is his ridiculous long ass Np animation. (let me skip it pls..)
Now all we need is an Emiya Alter buff.

His growth over the course of F/GO mirrors Shirou's growth over the VN's perfectly.
Magecraft C-: His complete misunderstanding of magic during Fate
Projection A: Him realizing how to properly use his own magic circuits, as well as the Projection technique in UBW
Trace On EX: Him gaining Archer's arm and mastering his projections in Heaven's Feel, allowing him to directly compete with Servants of all calibers (pun)
Clairvoyance C: His danger sense that was always present in the early sections of the routes, saving his hide
Hawkeye B+: Him mastering the flow of combat and stopping enemies with tactics and precision later on in all routes
Eye of the Mind: His persistent ability to analyze situations calmly and make the best choices
In short, he started as a weak Servant but slowly became amazing. Just like Shirou starting as a shitty mage and becoming capable of fighting Heroic Spirits.
For me, the only shirou who really mastered Projection is UBW, Heaven feels cheated by having Archer arm
@@ZetsuboTheBot Technically, that also happened in UBW, with him absorbing knowledge from EMIYA while fighting, so he didnt really master it, but just stole it from his future self, just like Heaven's feel, but alot more safer and stable.

@@ZetsuboTheBot Shirou in every timeline has distorted mind set to summon Unlimited Blade Works, mastery isnt needed. Its the matter of who has the Mana resource to actually summon it. UBW Shirou had Rin's family crest and Miyuverse Shirou had Grail Miyu backing him up.

For 3 years, I've been getting spooked by Emiya to the point where he's unleveled NP5. It's like finding a 100 dollar bill in a extra pair of pants
year 1 comp: Mash, Waver, Emiya
year 2 comp: Mash, Merlin, Emiya
year 3 comp: Skadi, Jack, Emiya
possible year 5: Castoria, CasGil/Sheba, Emiya.
Emiya is, and always will be, an all-around mom/servant.
Remember boy, rank A+ in gameplay but always rank EX in Eroge Protagonist
I never knew that each time I was accidentally getting all these copies of Emiya in my summons I was actually building one of the most powerful future servants.
I heard that EMIYA originally had an Arts NP but it was switched to Buster because it was deemed to be too broken, and now that we have support Servants that enable shenanigans, EMIYA can truly be the bone of his sword he was always meant to be.
It's interesting to think what direction the meta and servant design might have gone if they kept it as Arts, and Arts NP looping was just a thing any new player had access to in year 1.
Good ol' Emiya, that arts NP is a bless for being the best mom in Chaldea
Just when i thought he can't get any more of a hybrid. An Archer with a caster deck and a buster NP that can almost generate stars like an Assassin now can loop while still making stars and work with 4 of the big 5 Caster Support

I'm very pleased with this. Emiya is one of my favorite Servants overall, and sometimes I even use him over Gilgamesh for general use.
That's the reason I'm going to pass on this next Gil banner, I like Emiya more than him... also just got all my sqs gone in Sabermuid and Arturia banner so... xD

Wanna know what would be even more broken? If they changed one of his arts cards to buster. Then he can arts brave chain or buster brave chain based on the what you need. Tamomo + emiya + Merlin = best team
emiya's road to EX rank, the only buff missing for him is in mind's eye to rho aias. Imagine him having access to castoria's invincibility.
His would most like be a regular invul since castoria straight up takes the party to a reality marble if Avalon

How fitting that Emiya gets to be the first servant in FGO to get the same skill buffed twice.
If that Arts NP change buff was three turns, I don't think any other AOE Archer could compare.
Hell, no AOE arts servant can compare. (Except Musashi) You can hit over 300 K with advantage and buffs as seen. It's good enough to knock out most nodes senseless.
Forget any AOE Archer, he'd dumpster almost every AOE Servant. Give him an MLB Black Grail and hook him up to Castoria and he could put Space Ishtar and Musashi to shame.

Like... oh no, he's really gonna feel sad running around with 100% Arts instead of 130% Arts like Mo?

Replacing "Eye of the Mind" for a "Rho Aias" 7 hit (or less*) AOE Invul for 3 turns that deals him 1k dmg (lvl1) to 850dmg (lvl10) for each layer broken?
*With less layers then each should deal more damage when broken.
That would make it practically a tanking AOE skill. More roles for Emiya Mom!
If it does become a skill , it will prolly give a damage cut and kill him after the cut expires. But Rho Aias is a NP and not a skill like trace on. So it's unlikely

Emiya is one of my favorite servants and one of the best characters in all the nasuverse. He was my first 4star and has serve me well all this years, and now that he is NP5 this Buffs Will take him over the top. The boy deserves all the love he can get

Emiya was my tutorial gacha servant and has taken me so very far and is still my favorite to this day even if people tell me he is overrated.
Honestly I think the most important thing this shows is that its possible for already upgraded skills to be strengthened furthur. It opens up alot of servants that had a somewhat lackluster strengthen to their worse skills (ex. Maid Salter)
You want to know what would be as cool as that mechanic? Servants with different noble phantasms being able to use those noble phantasms.
How would that be somewhat balanced? Simple, just like how you can change their appearance, in the same menu you can also change which Noble Phantasm you want your servant to equip in that battle. It cannot be changed during a battle. Wouldn’t that just be amazing and totally change combat?
Downside: only characters with more than one noble phantasm can have this perk.
That'd be cool because it's already implemented with vr mash and og mash.
Emiya's growth sure but can I comment on how much better your delivery and content has gotten since your first spotlights on these servants. Amazing content.

Max Leveled Emiya NP2 and he was always my go to servant in Part 1, 1.5, and Lostbelt Arc even on different events. For team members it's either Extella team. Or Double Tamamo loop.

Now another buff wud be to add "Rho aias" as his NP which is also tied to his Trace On skill giving us a choice of UBW or Rho aias..basically allowing us to have an option of offense or defense. More fun than game breaking

Laughs in NP4 emiya, he pretty much became an archer Nitocris, just slap a waver and a 2004 and he can easily double np. Then you would just need to add a servant that can clear the last wave, which there is no shortage of

Whoever made emiya class as an archer must be drunk
He can now BG loop with Vitch + Castoria and Atlas, or you can use double vitch and plugsuit castoria
Now we just need an NP update. So sad looking at current ubw. Man's got every noble phantasm from fsn and much more, meanwhile we just get a jpg of some generic sword copy-pasted 9 billion times for the animation. Best archer deserves better.
He deserves at least a rework like Ishtar and Gil

EMIYA is the first gold Servant I've ever NP5ed simply because he liked to spook me (and still continues to do so every so often) when I was rolling for other Servants. Can't wait for his NP upgrade in NA.
Though I wish he'd get the Oath Under Snow outfit as a Spiritron Dress...
EMIYA saved me from the very beginning, and he is here to stay until the very end. This Buff just makes him even more viable for all parties.
It also helps that his summer costume makes him even more badass.
Imagine if Trace on let you choose a Quick UBW too kek
I feel like a lot of people don't really understand just how good emiya already is, though. Like he's not a looper, sure, but you can have teams that aren't single dps+two supports, you know? As he is now, he can pretty reliably clear most wave 2s with projection and a single buff. Assuming you have hawkeye upgraded to 10, that also puts you into the final wave with over 40 stars at minimum, meaning that even if wave 3 has multiple high hp targets, you'll be able to finish them off with crits after your second unit (support gil or ishtar) blasts them with their np. It's a really potent combo, and it's been a godsend in events for me whenever there's a saber node to quickly be able to grind them for whatever currencies they have.
considering how you bashed him (with good reason) in the initial grading video he deserves this freaking buff!
i don't play FGO or watched anything about it's techs and watching this video almost gave me a brain overload
I think they also need to buff his NP because his NP is pretty lackluster if you look the nature of his Reality Marble.
My suggestions:
(1) UBW inflict 50% [Special Attack] to Gilgamesh (Castor Gil & Kid Gil included)
(2) Inflict defense down.
(3) Inflict critical down.
(4) Inflict NP strength down.
(5) Pierce invulnerability.
Honestly, he just needs an NP strength up effect on his NP to fix his NP damage and make him a good looper. Though I think it's impossible since they already gave him so much upgrades and his NP has already been upgraded, but who knows, maybe they'll rework older servants NP effects because a lot of the older ones have really bad effects on their NP compared to modern ones
I'd honestly settle for an attack or np up before damage 10-30% or something

now if we can make Emiya Assassin anti caster considering that was his whole schtick in fate zero where he assassinated mages on the regular.
Emiya unless DW is willing to make his Trace on Buff 3 turns instead of one would probably be the only fix I think he needs at this point
Use origin bullet on him and have fun against casters
huh i didnt expect them to upgrade his projection skill. I seriously thought they will change his mind's eye to something like rho aias for example, but i guess that would make emiya too OP.
