Thanks man, I really love this kit and I enjoy the Battle of the Ages, son versus father! Something about trying to best your dear old dad that's a universal right of passage for all men. Both of you are riding great!
You are welcome and thanks for watching. We are headed back for a rematch this coming weekend, this is far from over! The kid is riding real good and I have to admit I was proud of him for handing me my ass. - Brian Van
Hey Brian, Awesome memories...still racing with my son, but club level. I know this video is old, but were you using AIM’s smartycam for the screen info? Thinking of moving to twins racing after shielding my BMW with 14 bones and a lung. BMW will race again, but what twin would you club race at your weight and current MotoAmerica experience with parts and problems? Thanks, and best of luck.
Max's R3 had the Aim camera on it for this video. There are plenty of twins out there making good power that are a ton of fun to ride. I think if you are not having fun on the 1000 that is a solid option. - Van
We went back to the track last weekend and I let Max ride the Ninja. The little shit had the nerve to go 3 seconds faster on it than my best lap. I am considering grounding him for a week or 2. - Van
That was freaking awesome. Max is quite the rider. Do either of you know Blake Davis? I met he and his father when I rode down to Jennings to watch a track day. Nice people, and they invited me to hang out in their pit. Taking my novice first track day school at Jennings this Nov. I'm 57 and had been debating whether to do it. I just started riding a little over 2 years ago. I'm like, screw it, ya get only one run through in life why the hell not. :) Need some leathers so I'll be getting in touch with y'all soon. Thanks for the great vids
Blake Davis is one heck of a rider and a good kid. We have seen him at Barber a couple of times last year and max hung out with him a bit. Good people for sure. - Van
It would be good video to have a post race review / analysis from the young one. Telling the viewers his body position throttle control and where hes looking at when hes entering and exiting the turns.
He will stay on the R3 and or the Ninja 400 for another couple of years. No point in moving to a bigger bike if he hasn't taken all the smaller one has to offer. He was already going faster than me by 12 seconds this session. I gapped his ass a bit at first but he had reeled me in by the time the red flag was thrown. He was going to pass me in turn 1 when we both saw the flag. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Yeah he was gonna pass you for sure. The weight difference alone would pull him ahead. I wish I started when I was his age. So much potential Max has ahead of him.
F yeah! I was waiting for this video!!!
I hope there will be more, regards from Argentina.

Thought I read Max Wrist VS Brian Van at first glance, I was like what! XD Great video and thumbs as usual!!!
Thanks for watching! - Van
This is amazing! Great way to spend some quality time with you son. Good job Max on beating dad

That's awesome! Any plans for Max to run the jr cup?
He will not be old enough until next season. If he keeps riding good we will do a round or 2 next year and see how he does. Thanks for watching! - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear for some reason I thought he was 14... I'll be rooting for y'all when he makes the leap!
Nice keep up the hard work Max, great riding Brian 👊🏻✊🏻
Rippin! Looks like so much fun!
Ohh this is gonna be good!
Well... that was boring if I’m being honest.
Definitely A group

We are working on that now. - Van
I think Dad let son win.
I would never let him win, he needs to earn it every time. We are headed back for a rematch this weekend, stay tuned. - Van
Max needs faster bike. That is all.

Sportbike Track Gear good to know the details! Max is a true rider. I can see that He is faster than others in the corners. That is skill!
