this anime is fantastic, one of my favourites. It explains perfectly the beauty of curiosity, the will to know the truth. It's so sad but also beautiful to see how the protagonists are able to fight and resist among the dangers, just to know the truth

I wonder if the TV version is actually the full version. Weird how it still hasnt been released on streaming platforms. I actually want to cry when I see that basically only Japan is watching this show (and it actually is more watched on Netflix Japan than some heavy hitters on there like Blue Box/Ranma). They seem to really respect the series.

世界史が好きで小さい頃からヨーロッパの伝統建築や食器や歌に興味があって大人になった今も本棚にぎっしりヨーロッパ関係の本を集めているんだけど、何故かいつも気付くと好きなものを追いかけていくとポーランドかブルガリアに辿り着くのが奇妙に感じるほど不思議で、両親も祖父母も曾祖父母もその前の先祖代々ずっと日本で生きてきた日本人だけどポーランドかブルガリアに何か共鳴するものがあるんだろうなと思っているし、いつかポーランドに行きたいと思っている。
普段そんな調子なので最初はこの漫画がポーランドを舞台にしているとは知らなかったものの、アニメで登場人物の名前がポーランド語だと気付いた時は大喜びして家族に「お母さん何故かポーランドめちゃくちゃ好きだもんね。良かったね。」と言われたくらいです。
ただ、日本からポーランドまで飛行機で行ってもすごい時間がかかるし、英語圏じゃないので日本では行く人が少ないんですよね…まだ学生だった時に親が家族旅行でイタリアやフランスに連れて行ってくれた事があるんですけど、両親にポーランドに一瞬で良いから寄り道したいって言ったらポーランド語を知らないから無理って言われて泣きそうになったし、結婚してから新婚旅行も夫が日本人にも発音がしやすいイタリア語で旅行できるイタリアが良いと言われて悲しい気持ちになった事があります。
