For those of you who don’t know, the toilet hand in Majora’s Mask is a reference to a Japanese urban legend where a hand will come out of the toilet and ask you red or blue paper. If you chose red, it will drag you to hell, if you chose blue it will kill you (those might be swapped though, can’t remember which is which).
I thought red would get you skinned alive so you were red with blood, and blue would get you strangled/drowned till you turned blue.

(imagine yourself a little kid seeing Giygas for the first time)
If you’ve ever played one of their games and actually talked to everyone around the series becomes pretty messed up.
Abusive parents, Child neglect, dark thoughts, cults, and literal suicide.
The series as a whole can make a child really freaked out.

You won't need to. You can dig through the sounds in Kirby Super Star Ultra (along with the music if you wish), and listen to Marx's scream in all its glory without the arena music getting in the way with pure low quality DS audio. Personally though, I felt like the sirens during the ending of Meta Knight's Revenge scared me more as a kid.

For me, unintentional glitches always freaked me out more than anything intentionally creepy in a video game. It gives me this horrible creepy-crawly feeling all over. Actually, I was recently playing Pokemon Emerald again and while surfing, the screen distorted and I nearly had a heart attack before I realized it was just transitioning to a battle. That's when I realized how frightened of them I was (and still am). I've even had nightmares about glitches. They're my phobia that probably isn't actually a scientifically recognized thing, but I have it anyway. Watching them through something like RUclips, however, seems to negate that fear, especially if I expect it.
