If you complete it without dying, a portrait of Marin appears on screen for a few seconds and then she turns into a seagull and flies off. It's a much better secret ending than the original. SERIOUSLY, Marin's game sprite with wings? Lame.
And on the Switch remake, there’s an enhanced version of the Link’s Awakening DX ending, with the image of Marin on the screen before fading away and the sight of a seagull flying through the sky.
At 6:41 there is some more to this ending. Funky is towing Cranky who is doing some tricks on water skis, which ends with an off-screen collision with some rocks. Then, Cranky ends up floating right next to K. Rool and holding a card that says "The End".
