    As we all fell in love the extra intake sound of GT4RS, I wanted to introduce BMC air filter (which are actually the OEM providers of air filters for 991.2 GT3RS) and see how much of the GT4RS experience I can get without the carbon air intake box inside the cabin. Needless to say putting a higher flow air intake doesn't magically transform your GT4 to a GT4RS but it definitely delivers some of that excitement that we all love about the GT4RS's inside cabin air intake.

      @@MrRandomTwat ;) i think the difference is very noticeable (when the window is open) ;) maybe that’s why not everybody hears it?! Beginning from 5500 rpm it’s steaming much more aggressive

    Dude this sounds AMAZING! I thought you pushed me over the line as far as my decision to get the GT4. The only thing holding me back was the stock exhaust! Thanks man!

    This video shows how the GT4 doesn’t need to sound like a GT3 (though its close) and the pdk does look fast!

      @blendlinegarage42  Год назад +1

      yeah absolutely! i love manuals and most of cars i owned were manual but i must say I find PDK more engaging, makes me want to play with gears more often

    What a fantastic sound. A GT4 is definitely my "attainable" dream car. ❤ (need a save up a bit as I've just splashed out on an '05 DC5 Integra Type R lol).

    Need to try this. The last 500 rpm sounds raspy like a gt4rs

      sharp ears, you picked up on that tone difference very well even over the video

  • @jackson5068

    Did you really notice a major sound difference with the windows up? A lot of RUclipsrs/Rennlisters say they hear no change at all... I wonder if stock OAP vs GPF delete matters here

    • @blendlinegarage42
      @blendlinegarage42  29 дней назад

      @@jackson5068 i think it certainly matters, the air filter is only going to let in as much air as the engine sucks in, if you had back pressure im your header back system, the engine wont need more air. But when you unclogg the system and then do a filter change, you get noticeable results

    Looking forward to finding out how much the air filter made on the engine performance. But you do believe the sound is definitely different? Better?

    • @blendlinegarage42
      @blendlinegarage42  2 года назад +2

      yea unfortunately the video doesnt do it justice. you hear more of the “voosh” and definitely more pops. I also look forward to doing the dyno and hopefully the results wont be disappointing this time. I want to give ECU some time to adapt to the new setup before taking the car in for dyno

    On my 718 GTS 4.0L, I have the BMC air filters, CG valve controller, Soul resonated OAP's. I can't decide whether to just add the JCR silenced valved back box to the existing Soul resonated OAP or remove the Soul & add a complete Kline Inconel OAP w/ Kline back box since they have to be bought together & work in tandem. 200 cell Kline headers could be added later. What are your thoughts if i want both good volume & also tone without factoring in price?

    • @blendlinegarage42
      @blendlinegarage42  Год назад +3

      hm, interesting dilemma to be honest. I think having a full setup of bmc filters, headers, oap, backbox and Valve controller will be just pure madness. I know a guy with similar setup and it is extremely loud to the point that he is banned from PCNA meetings (lol). I think between the options you offered i would go with kline, assuming you are going with inconel setup which will save weight compared to steel soul oap. also cant recall if kline oap have heat shielding but if they do, thats advantage over soul in my book. I think both kline and JCR have excellent tone. Headers and oap will just add volume but I think oap alone is plenty volume. I wouldn’t mess with headers unless you plan to yolo warrenty and put a custom tune on it. But if you did that you would get major gains from headers
