      Thank you for watching!! It's been a great truck for me so far, but one more thing to add to the list if you do the spring swap on the shocks while they are off glue the shock tops on, they don't screw on and after you take them apart a few times the are loose and will come apart when driving!!😁😁

    Get one of those wire bread ties (that paper wrapped wire keeping your loaf of bread from drying out). Twist one end of the wire around the bottom end of the shock absorber then compress the shock by hand then twist the other end of the wire around the other end of the shock. You should have a compressed shock absorber with a wire running down the side of it. Fit t& shock in place (with the wire facing out), drive in the bottom screw, adjust the axle to where the top of the shock is level with the screw hole. Drive in remaining screw...*clip-clip-clip* and the wire is gone to allow the shock absorber to do what it was intended to do.

    Hello Gerry, thank you for your helpful videos. But can you also tell us how the driving behavior has changed as a result? Does he jump with the harder springs or does he drive more harmoniously as a result??? Is he still bouncing? Do you only do the 1st axis with it or all 4 axes? One of your fans from Germany

    Hello again, i just got mine today, i see where it is a bit close, and it also sits lower in the front, so i will do this too, should i do the other shocks that are in the front so it sits more level? Also do you have to bind this? I don't have my battery yet.

    • @gerrysoldguyreview
      @gerrysoldguyreview  3 года назад +1

      I just did the front 2 shocks to level the front. I haven't noticed sag in the rear yet, even with a load. I did put 4 total on the 802 so it's level when pulling a trailer!
      But if you do get the heavier shocks make sure you glue on the shock top, with the weight of the truck and driving over rough terrain the tops sometimes will pop off! I haven't had to bind any of mine but you never know. The books it comes with are a bit hard to read but have alot of good info.

    I know it's been lone times because of the pandemic. Still there are way more enjoyable and less desperate ways to comunicate with others instead of wasting their time with something that can be said with just ONE sentence. You seem nice but 13 Minutes and 15 Seconds to tell "replace the front Damper Springs of the P802 with the Damper Springs used at the P806, because they are made from thicker wire"... damn, this Vid is sooooooo much ado about nothing Ol'Chatterbox.
    btw: there are many models besides the P-Series and even RCs in different scales and for different specialised actions, but 90% of them do have one thing in common...
    a littel gap for an otherwise hard to rech area... Yes, it is there for that one specific reason. In your case: the Front Steering Bucket has a gap for damper maintenance.

      in short: I belive such viz could be much more enjoyable ... for new audience as well ... if they started of with a short description of what is about to happen... for example:
      "the HG80X's damper strech is of by factury default. Best/Easyest way to fix this is by replacing its spring. this is how it's done and where to get the necessary spareparts"...
      after all it's not ment to be a mystery box but a maintenace aid ;)
