The only thing I disagree with most about this panel is the only reason why Capitol Hill is having a reparations discussion is because of the grass roots and the "RUclips historians". They were the ones who pressured presidential candidates to talk about reparations. Prior to that all these organizations and bills havent moved a inch in years. So to dismiss the Tone, Yvettes, Tariq, Phil and others who champion reparations because they dont have a "Dr" infront of their name is counterproductive but that may be the case. The Black Bougeoisie only Bougeoisie because other Blacks are impoverished, underprivileged and uneducated and by uneducated I mean doesnt have a degree. There are highly intelligent and well versed and well read but unless you went to a HBCU or pledge greek then your not important so they dont want any reparations for them. I see the game.
On a show I was watching yesterday, the guest made the comment that we don't get what we want because there are no consequences. He gave the example of Indians hanging scalps on poles when they were angry and that blacks don't do anything.
They treat black people like you the side chic. After we vote, they pull their pants up and leave. I only watch roro too see what kind of cringy shit they try to clorox brains with.
Yes it was a joke, a family of six adult children ages forty to fifty five years. Recieved fifty thousand dollars before taxes for the father sharecropper that had passed away. It felt disgusting and it was not clear whether it was a loan or not. It was a ridiculous way to treat people. The information was completely chaotic. There was black elites who charged as much as Ten percent just to fill out paperwork that the average person didn't receive. They got the personal information and did nothing. Then there was the women and hispanics, given the same story line with hope for a pay day, another joke.
The groups who received some form of reparations didn't receive monetary compensation simply because of their ethnic group or race. Specific events that directly affected a group was the catalyst for prompting the push for reparations. All Jews did not receive reparations, Holocaust survivors were compensated. Native Americans did not receive reparations, specific tribes who were affected in specific events (like the Trail of Tears and various tribes in Oklahoma). The Japanese who were financially compensated were a specific group of Japanese Americans who were discriminated against based on their race/ethnicity and forced into interment camps. Most of the individuals who experienced these traumas were alive to file grievances and push for reparations.
Because slavery was legal at that time and no one living today experienced chattel slavery, the US government can legally bypass the payment of reparations. We have to use more direct, specific events that directly affected us or close relatives (parents or grandparents, etc) as the basis for legal action. For example: black farmers who sued and won reparations and descendants of slaves sold to Georgetown University. It's unfortunate that we can't simply cite chattel slavery as a means to receive compensation. We have learned the laws of this nation to get what is owed to us.
@@bhalette4153 Thats a good way to try to explain why reparations shouldnt be paid but it won't work. Slavery was legal then but it was wrong. Reparations are payments for wrong doing. We have managed to rebuild and rebound from most of the hateful hinderances thrown our way. We built our own churches, schools, colleges and communities. It wasn't until the 1950, when the U.S. government gave whites the means to build pristine communities, provided guaranteed zero interest loans that allowed whites to build generational wealth coupled with the G.I. Bill that included educational grants and job training. So white people got free education and loans to move from housing projects to brand new homes. Blacks were racially excluded from that progress, period. A similar plan for blacks should be the main topic of any reparation discussion.

It's a Black Man. It's open season. She know there's no Backlash to discrediting a Black man.
She's just happy to be on a big RUclips channel.
When scholars begin shifting into this type of rhetoric it's often a precursor to something serious.
Roland always interrupting Dr. Greg when he about man that pro black point
As a white man, I'd vote black. Hell, Nina Turner would make a GREAT President. imho
My desire is Congresswoman Jackson is taken serious and win the fight for our people to receive reparations. Our people need the help and money.
I love your show please keep Dr Carr he will educate the people on what is important to achieve Reparation .
Really you need to have dr Claude Anderson on your show
You go Dr. Greg Carr, spilling all that knowledge. I would take a class from you anytime no matter the cost. I love seeing and hearing my kings (black men) standing. Thanks
He teaches for free every Saturday on RUclips 12 noon on the Karen hunter show
@@leahneal6981 I didn't know that thanks so much
@@leahneal6981 I didnt know that? I could listen to dr. Carr i always learn something new from his teaching. I wish he had a RUclips channel.
Dr Carr is amazing and need to educate us.
His library is sooo crazy to me.
I would love to see Dr. Carr debate Dr. Claude Anderson. Dr. Anderson is a little older now but I believe he could hold his own. Or he could debate Dr. Sandy Darity.
Dr Anderson is not well.
@@herbsaint636 Yeah, I saw Dr. Anderson on a program yesterday. I just don't like Dr. Carr being so eager to debate people that are not at his education level. I have lost some respect for Dr. Carr.
@@virginiawolf1708 he is a part of the boulee class.
@@herbsaint636 I agree, I was not sure at first. There are a lot of others that are right in that class with him.
@@virginiawolf1708 absolutely. I was one of those too. I admired his scholarship but it seems as though these people are out for themselves. That will never work in our favor.
When you talk about the Black Culture it's never f****** over
Make things right and we'll leave it alone.
No...WE LOVE DR. CARR!! We can agree to disagree on any matter. No division!
I feel Africa owes reparation too.
Yes, Africa sold our people to Europeans.
We need ALOT of money, land, free healthcare, AND free education. Idk why we are even taking this long to have these conversations.

Boy oh, boy!! If I don't love me some Dr Carr! I love his knowledge!
Thank you Dr. Carr! I almost gave up on this channel.
Should’ve made reparations part of Biden’s first 100 days in office........now immigrants coming into the country is more of an important issue on the democratic list
I wish we could hear Dr. Carr speak on everyday news on a different platform.
Thank you, Roland & Dr. Carr- say it! This my favorite panel right here...
You are easily impressed.
There have been years of scholarship/credentialed people who have failed on reparations. I was waiting for one of them to attack Dr. Ice Cube.
Damn!!!! All four of you are truly “DASHIT” - WHEN Brother Carr went Rakim on their asses , then Brugh Roland followed up with the TWO WONDER WOMEN both smart, strong and extremely attractive ( total package) , IT GETS NO BETTER!!! Family let’s make sure this” Millie goal “ is met so we can continue to get Black News for us and everyone who watches and supports this Brotha !!!!
Fam , the methods that have been taken in the past or currently trying to work , won’t get it. We need a different approach
We watch your show for some of your guests, such as Dr. Greg Carr more than for you. We watch any news and information show to get the good part and we throw out the useless part. Calling people derogatory names who disagree with you says more about you than it does about them.
It's not wise to not support Mr. Roland who gives so much knowledge to us and in an entertaining way we're not depressed after watching. We're inspired and hopeful change will come when we fight at the polls with our vote locally and nationally.
No words needed just applause 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾....‼️
We have managed to rebuild and rebound from most of the hateful hinderances thrown our way. We built our own churches, schools, colleges and communities. It wasn't until the 1950, when the U.S. government gave whites the means to build pristine communities, provided guaranteed zero interest loans that allowed whites to build generational wealth coupled with the G.I. Bill that included educational grants and job training. So white people got free education and loans to move from housing projects to brand new homes. Blacks were racially excluded from that progress, period. A similar plan for blacks should be the main topic of any reparation discussion.
Roland why no correspondence gig with the white house? Why aren't you hosting your show on any major networks? (You capping for free)
He wouldn’t be able to say what he wants on the major networks. He was on a major network before and they censored him. He is not caping for free. He created his own outlet, speaks his mind (uncensored) and makes his own money.
The fact that you asked why he wasn’t on a major network shows you lack knowledge about racism in the media. You know they don’t let us speak freely on their networks.
@@KiaTheDMVBison please ( if msnbc, cnn, nbc, abc, etc were to call him and he would do it)
Dr. Carr dropping pearl
Let me sit on live with him. Attachment to blackness do not have the Linage history. Coming to the United State today do not equate to my history starting with me 4 or 5 generations ago! Because we didn’t get it, don’t mean it isn’t owed. I’m coming for Greg! Give me my money owed now!
Dr. Carr is the sharpest tool in the shed be very careful how you handle him!!!
U r so right ✅

We all know there is an influence that can be wielded to advocate for those votes. Roland has a Superiority complex
Erica is an example how young women today needs to follow knowing the politics of this country we live in.
Dr Carr, thank you Brother. I know it hard and we are behind you. But the I, I, I and name calling has to stop. It took away from you insight and recommends.
We as a community must concentrate on building our own. Build a business in what you are good at. Once we get our wealth up we can get our politics up.
I would like for Reparations to consider no Taxes at all for Blacks for 400 years
400+ years
Nah. They just pay us less to make up the difference

The reason we don't have these discussions with the Republican leadership is because they're not the ones who shamed and cajoled us into voting for their party's candidates.
And starting walking back their promises out the gate...
I don't agree with you. Both parties did this. The majority of African Americans who voted were in the Republican party before 1960.
