My grandfather had a farm in Georgia for 35 years and fought his county that whole time to get the same benefits of other white farmers in his town. Dr. Anderson can be effective in Maryland and the greater beltway where he lives.There are city, state, and county, government entities that will be addressing Reparations legislation along with colleges, universities, and endowments! He along with other economist that specialize in that field will hopefully have a range of opportunities to discuss, better educate, and offer guidance, to whomever wants to see this legislation get passed through both houses of Congress and signed by "a" President!

Me and my siblings are paying taxes on land in Mississippi that my great grand parents left behind. My grand father worked for the railroad to own land and my family are paying taxes on that land also. My grand parents on my fathers side were share croppers on their own land and paid the banks to keep it but lost to the banks. It’s a blessing to still own land that could been lost and many times attempted to be stolen. Kum ba yah singing Come by here Yah is what got my grandparents through the struggle, blessed to keep land with underground springs and acres of farm land. I even call on yah to come by here. soon and very soon he will. This blessed land was owned by native aborigines and as a child my sister saw the spirits of them. Ok I went way off base! 🤣 But my point is if they could take our land they would! I don’t feel it’s fare that we are paying taxes on aboriginal land all because copper color Natives considered as African Americans who always owned land in Louisiana (changed to Mississippi after the Louisiana purchase) are not considered natives. His story is that everyone black came to the US on a ship! Yes true but before slavery we came willingly to this promise land on ships. Tell it like it is and stop stretching the truth! My ancestors on my fathers side was already in America and never as slaves. They did however mix and marry freedmen slaves.

This issue always points me to the reparations paid to Japanese Americans for being placed in Internment camps during WW2. IN 1988 RONALD Reagan apologized and the surviving person or their descendants were paid $20000 a family for being incarcerated for 5 years in these camps. There is a shopping center sitting on my grandma's land.
She went to pay the taxes one year and was told that the land is not hers and never was hers. After years of paying taxes on the land.

As a people we need a class action suit against this country for reparations for slavery, for human rights violations, the corporations that was built off of stolen land and money from black families, all the black towns stolen or destroyed by white mobs and this country just sat back and watched. This country owes us they paid everyone else but us. The lies about us being lazy when we built this country, nursed their children, some black mothers spent more time with their white employers children than their own. I just get so frustrated. Thank you Roland for your dedication to educating our people. After 30 years I’ve returned to college and that wealth gap is real. I read a case study that showed the difference between a moderately well off white man, a blue collar worker and a black woman with no education. I don’t have to tell you who was at the bottom of the totem pole.

To Mr. Owens, I say this. I joined the USAF. I retired in 1983, as Msgt.. I worked harder than others to make the rank. And it has nothing to do with what I lost because of not receiving what should have been inherited from my great, great grandfather for the work he did under slavery, had he been given a fair wage for his work that helped make America rich.
