So is it alright to not bother to loosen up the sides of the root ball? Would it hurt the plant to pull some of those side roots loose? Would that be too much of a shock to it?

Thank you so much for telling everyone that you trim back the roots an inch because I cannot tell you how many people that have plants on the Internet search their roots back more than an inch or so and then it’s so aggravating. I don’t know why but it just is so thank you so much actually knowing what are you doing in the play community also, I love your videos keep creating.

Ok but any blanket measurement is completely arbitrary. It depends on the size of the plant and the root ball. Trimming an inch off the roots of my massive monstera isn't going to do much of anything but an inch off my table top pothos will be completely sufficient. It just depends.

    Thanks for the info. 😊
My Plumeria don’t do well in plastic pots because the leaves cause them to catch the wind, fall over, and break.
Also, my area gets a lot of thunderstorms during summer and all the rain can lead to root rot no matter how porous the potting mix is.
    😺✌️

Is it possible to notch a plumeria for branching?

They will definitely branch out when you cut a stem back

Do you keep the plumaria outdoors during the winter? I live in zone 8b.

I definitely bring mine inside at my zone 6b garden. They need to be inside anytime temps are below 40

Plumeria usually go dormant so they'd be fine outdoors.. 🤷‍♀️

Wow … pls don’t hack away at your roots like this and then give them a big water , all that’s doing is increasing the chances of root rot and infection

  • @アランパーソンプロジェクト

So deceitful, you chopped off more than half of the roots, not 1 inch😎
