Great video. I needed to make this for a much larger size. I use a tape measure and measured my hips where the bikini bottom would sit in a v shape. i divided that number by 2 and made my foundation chain that length. The other side ended up being a bit smaller. Good approcimation albeit a bit loose; i will have to tweak it. A lot of booty hamging out with the given amount of rows but will make cute undies!

Make a chain to match the half length of your waist then remove 11 stitches from it to get your foundation chain. Make sure your foundation chain is an odd number so counting your stitches is important . Begin your front panel. Make enough chains to cover you decently. Do the same to the back panel.
Very good job ! I wanna know when you insert your hook at the begining of a new row, do you insert in the VERY first stitch where the extra chain is attached or in the very next?

After 45, chain one, now you will have 46. Then make a half done crochet by inserting your hook in the second stitch from the last stitch(45)

I have never done it in large but you can do 20 increase raws and make the middle area abit longer

Depending on the yarn that you are using, for a small size you can do a first chain of 35, 37 or 39
