Enjoyed your presentation and nifty artwork a lot... I slipped on black ice on New Year's Eve in the UK and suffered an ankle sprain and a fractured distal fibula. I am hobbling around an Airstep boot... an operation???
That's wild, I fell on black ice as well last Christmas (2020) while visiting family. My fall resulted in an oblique distal fib fracture with a syndesmotic injury and had surgery to repair the ankle (with suture and button technique). I was non-weight bearing until March 2 when I was finally able to wear a CAM boot. I've since then weaned out of the CAM boot and will return to work next Friday! I totally feel your pain and wish you a speedy and successful recovery.
Ouch! I got a Brocken ankle right now & it hurts the bad part is I have Polio on my left leg so it super hurts I thought it could repair itself like all the other broken bones but ouch!! It's been a month now.
Are there any negative impacts on surgery? I have ruptured my AITFL and “partially torn my interosseous ligament. Have been going to physio for the past 4 weeks and it is helping however the ankle is still painful and aching 2+ months on from injury. I do not need the boot anymore though. I have surgery booked in two weeks and I’m apprehensive about getting the surgery if I don’t need it. How much can physio help?
Can I ask please why you need to stand up for the X-ray? My doctor keeps making me lie down for the X-ray and saying I’m fine nothing wrong with me even though when I step on my ankle it hurts and my fibula hurts too near the top of the fibula. He said I’m fine so he won’t refer me to an orthopaedic doctor. What should I do please? I’m really worried because I’ve already had this injury for 4 months, no improvement and the doctor just keep sending me back home😭
I’m just seeing lots of videos your are z best easy to understand, may our lord Jesus Christ bless you.

Which country are you in?
Go to another doctor for a second opinion.
Sounds like he's supporting big pharma and insurance companies. That's the majority of Doctors nowadays
