- I love coming back to an install and having my mind blown! This is a small house with a central living area and 3 bedrooms in the back. There could not be a more ideal setting for a concealed ducted system and Emura wall mount. The guys just killed this install. Customer says the system works amazing and I am SUPER STOKED! Come take a look!
Looks very nice. I've been looking at different bracing options when using the condenser pads. This looks sharp.
Such a cool install! Really like seeing your guys' work.
Thanks!!
I can't tell where the return feeds into the unit in attic...mind blown ~!~
Great work... Question. How many lines off the compressor does the ducted United need.. I want to use the ducted United for the top floor bedrooms .. and the other heads for main floor.. thanks in advance
Cool cool. Thanks for sharing!
How did you get the lineset to the minisplit? Did you go down the wall?
How big is the drain pan ?
Looks good man. I’m co-owner of my HVAC company and we actually only specialize in strictly ductless and it keeps us very busy in Pennsylvania. However, our next install were going to be installing a ducted 18 btu Fujitsu 3 zone. Any advise, or things that I should be aware of on installation?
3 zone outdoor with 3 ducted indoors? or Single zone outdoor with a 3 run ducted system inside?
Don’t you use an electrical service switch on the outside unit? A concealed unit is a great option. Thanks for sharing!
In our area, if electrical main is close, it suffices as disconnect.
As for the ducted zone, how long of a run can you make to the ducts?
Depends if you are doing a low static or high static. Typically a low static like this one is 15-20', shorter the better. On a high static, it has much more grace and can be in excess of 35'.
Can these concealed units be run through a crawlspace instead of an attic?
Yep! Same idea.
Where can you purchase the feet at?
Not Daikin specific but i have a non-hyper heat Mitsubishi 36k unit with a 24k unit and a 12k unit. Do you know if running JUST the 12k unit could cause problems? People have said if it runs too low of BTU it can hurt the compressor?
It sheds the extra btus to the 24k head even if it is satisfied.
Hey! I have a question: with the concealed ductless, can each bedroom be controlled individually under different temperatures, or are all of the bedrooms set to one temperature? Thanks!
The answer is no they can’t with your basic system, BUT yes they can with Daikin DZK zoning system.
@@TheDiskinsDoEverything thank you! Love your videos, your fan from the UK 🇬🇧
Does this one already R32 or still r410a?
410a
In india how I will get
Ive installed 108 of these units in our apartments and I don't remember seeing that they are serviceable from the top at all. Are they?? the instructions don't really show a minimum service clearance.
You talking about outdoor unit?
@@TheDiskinsDoEverything yup. But I guess it’s mostly the evaporator that you access from the bottom. I think the pump can be changed from the side like the control panel.
Can you use the existing copper pipes?
No
The Emura looks quite nice! Are they comparable for heating/cooling performance as the LV series? You mentioned that it wasn't as good for heavy displacement. Just wondering if the 12k BTU Emura would heat/cool a room as well as a 12k Btu LV series?
That’s a good question. Same heat output, etc. Has the fan of a 9/12, so an 18 isn’t going to push air 50’ like an LV. If you are going 12k, it’s extremely similar.
@@TheDiskinsDoEverything Oh okay that's good. With regards to reliability/longevity is the Emura a solid unit? We're looking at Mitsubishi and Daikan. I like the looks of the Emura and the designer series units. Thanks very much!
I mean to say that I like the looks of thje Mitsubishi designer series units (EF) and Daikan Emura.
@@joelutnesky7838 yes, very good. From this point both brands are good, make sure installer is good. If installer is same for either, I am a Daikin fan.
@@TheDiskinsDoEverything Excellent!
Everything looked awesome until we get to the flex duct 🧐
it was horrendous, and he thinks it looks great lol !
I think this type of standard copper lines insulation is not sufficient for attic.
The same with condensate tube, it will sweat and leak water around.
No comments on hanging and connecting flex ducting for concealed unit.
Average, speed installation I would say....
barron everything lol!
Why did you not use the brown shell on the outside? With our units is the brown against a brick and here it would be against the brown siding Why did you not use the brown shell on the outside? With our units is the brown against a brick and here it would be against the brown siding
Jim Devilbiss what brand is the brown stuff?
What's your opinion on the "Everwell" 13 SEER mini split units? I can't find any info on this brand.
Me neither, no opinion
