Fiancés 2004 4Runner had apprx 400K miles and it ran perfectly when we sold it and bought a 17’ Lexus GX460. I have a 02’ Lexus LX470 with 250K miles perfect. Also MANY GM Suburbans/Tahoes/Escalades have been high mileage champs too

😂 this list starting with a BMW? When the B58 they developped with toyota are already starting to have massive issues. I can't take this list seriously at all

The new X5 is still reliable, just not as reliable as a Toyota/Honda/Lexus/Acura, I love my mom’s 2023 MDX but I can’t wait for my dad to get his 2025 X5 later this year

    • @AgonxOC
      @AgonxOC 6 месяцев назад +18

Haha! The B58 was NOT developed with Toyota. It has been out for 9 years and it’s a stout and reliable engine. Not sure what BS information you are reading about them having massive issues….
Also given that my nearly trouble free F30 335i (N55) has nearly 200K, I can see my B58 in the G05 lasting me 250K easily.

@@AgonxOC exactly! At least you know what you’re talking about! My dad is getting a 2025 BMW X5 40i M Sport fully loaded later this year and we plan on keeping it for a long time (hopefully 7-10 years)

      I agree.
I started laughing when he said BMW and the Subaru Crosstrek.
If you get 200K out of the Subaru CVT you’re very lucky.
My college car was a 78 bare bones Corolla. I drove it until it died in 02 with 488K miles.

I’m loving this list bc my mom has a 2023 Acura MDX Advance and my dad is getting a 2025 BMW X5 40i M Sport fully loaded later this year, kinda disagree with what you said about the MDX interior tho bc I truly feel the X5 we’re getting isn’t a nicer vehicle than the MDX we have although it does have better tech and it destroys the MDX from a performance standpoint (❤ both SUVs tho)

Toyota is having Major Recalls on their new iForce and iForce Max powered vehicles.
We found that the Honda HR-V and Corolla Cross were way too small and slow.
We liked the Rav and the Venza but rear outward visibility was horrible.
Ultimately we chose the Subaru Outback for my wife.
When I heard the 12:01 Tacoma was dropping the durable and reliable 3.5L V6 I bought one of the last 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the premium and technology pkgs.
I’m getting 18-22mpg and knowing that this will be the last pickup I’ll ever need to buy is priceless.

Consumer Reports put them up there in *expected* reliability, I believe. They also gave the 2020 Kona that and I know of three of them (out of four) that have essentially had the engine fall out. Anecdotal, but I can't take CR's expected reliability for anything anymore.

Just like new except less range than mine. Battery warranty and lifetime is 20 or so years which is not bad for 300k for 10k over the years

I had a crosstrek for 6 months, huge drawback was the safety!
Ironically, Subaru brags about how the eyesight system is one of the best on the market; in my experience of why i ditched the car after only 7200 km was because the system kept deactivating!
In the slightest rainfalls or snowfalls the system deactivates, leaving no safety whatsoever.
My 2016 mini was better sorry Subaru!
