    Makes a glorious sound, although I wonder if there are any videos with original sound of the original condensing variant? I've always wondered what they sounded like

      There are plenty of videos of the 25C in action during the 1980s. I will try to source one for you.

      Class 25 had major issues with wheelslip

      Engines like the class 25 tend to slip due to them having a lot of roller bearings
      But that was one of the many teething troubles of this class

    Well, the Class 25nc# 3437 is, in fact, an oil burner and no longer going for coal anymore.

      It was burning coal last July, and I doubt a subsequent conversion to oil is affordable.
