You guys are about to discover that if you run a champ that can defend 1v2 bottom lane you'll realize that level diff is the most powerful strat in the game.
Sivir was a good pick for this strat, just the player was bad. Q and ricochet is enough to wave clear, then just hug the tower and place wards to see the enemy jng.
Only works if players are bad enough to keep pushing each wave to tower. - As the 2 in the lane you just slow-push to build a big wave and then crash it to set up a freeze of the bounceback. Then you zone the enemy off of EXP and gold and then it quickly becomes completely unplayable.

1:32 Honestly one of the most infuriating things about this community/game imo. Play meta poorly and it's whatever, you might get a little flame. Play off-meta well but still lose the game because your top lane went 0/12/0, you will be flamed by your teammates and opponents because the loss is 100% your fault for playing off-meta.
i used to main rakan jungle, what got me to stop was this game where i got everyone fed, but since the enemy team had a lot more late game champs we started losing. Went from praising me to just talking so much shit to me, except for the ahri on my team who was defending me. I despise the league community.

@@andreitaker3527 Support used to be that and more, like a kind of secondary jungler. Rather than being mid for funneling, They'd lane a bit mid lane, then disappeared. Everyone would freak out because you wouldn't know if it was top or bot that was heading for a 3 v 1 or if they wanted a 2 man hit on your jungler. Then meta got "streamlined" by pro-play.
Rav discovering the universal truth of disruption being the best strat in ANY game. Doing dumb shit that's less optimal is almost always just as good as crunching the numbers and playing optimally because of the enormous buff of changing their playstyle to match yours.

I'm lucky enough to have a 4 to five stack to play with when we do play. We try dumb shit all the time. All smites. Stuff like this video. Sometimes we just play ARAM for the whole laning phase. Others we ignore the fact JG even exists. Get you some homies and you can do all the stupid(but often fun) stuff you want.
Yep the fact that this happens is why i used to have like 15 smurf accounts to switch between and 0 respect for Riot's rules back when i played the game. Starting to honestly think that if you want to prevent toxic behavior in your games you either go all the way and have a human review every single case or you just don't moderate the game at all. Trying to half ass it and do it with automated tools just means trolls abuse the system and more people choose toxicity as a result like i did. The real problem here is that if a developer is going to go the route of moderating their games with an actual human moderation team it will never work for free to play games unless there is ever a way to limit the number of free accounts a person could make but you need to make new games that only feature PvP free to play for them to have a chance to catch on generally. Quite the catch 22 aint it?
Ive been playing off meta since i started this game (Season 2) with over 6k games on Teemo in all 5 roles, 100's of games with Garen mid before Faker did it, 100's of shaco mid and top, 1000's of Ashe mid past 3 seasons, Velkoz Top / ADC. NEVER been banned. People get Banned because they type ... simple as that. Because off meta players try to "Defend themselves" when they get harassed, you simply mute all and you are golden.
People aren't getting banned simply for playing off meta, they're getting banned for hardcore feeding off meta. There's a difference between playing something off meta and doing it well enough to give your team a chance to win, and then there are people (that I have seen in lower ELOs) that build like Lee Sin full AP, or Pantheon full AP, and then proceed to be one of the key factors their team lost the game. If you're gonna play something off meta it better at least be viable, otherwise you're just trolling. If you wanna troll in LoL go play quickplay, ARAM, or get 4 friends who are all down with your trolling. Don't do that shit in my ranked game or even my norms, you're gonna catch a report, I didn't queue up so you can waste 20-30 minutes of my time with your "I'm just playing off meta" bullshit.
@@FarmerFigs Yet you get reported in literally all of those other, non-ranked modes too. I understand where you're coming from but the point of something "Off meta" is often experimentation. You're not always going to do well especially when trying out a different build, strategy, role, etc. for the first time.

I think the problem with meta is that the general player base will play how Riot wants them to. Whenever a new strat comes along that breaks the vision Riot has for the game it gets removed by the devs.
The thing is in older days of MOBAs it used to be 2 top, 1 mid, and 2 bottom. There was no jungler. People just rotation into the closer jungles to them when wave was pushed or laners were dead. It just changed over time.
When I was masochist playing league everyday about 5 - 6 years ago, this was always my strat because it was fun. Just tell your lanes to switch around as one lane gets weak and another strong. Only worked well if people listened, which didn't happen at least 50% of the time.
That's the way Rav, ignoring what the majority does and do your own thing. Your video gives me more hope to try whatever, even when others complain(mute is always optional). But l have also learnt, it is best done with a friend for support and not feel that oppressive nature you can feel even when you have muted others. l am more into Wild Rift because of its faster paced action, doesn't feel like a prison. Might do Soraka top/mid, Yuumi top or Evelynn top.

Three days ago I said to my friends: "yo! they are playing teemo top, wanna raid him?" They laughed. We all thought it would be hilarious so we went to top lane to surprise him. We did a whole marathon, checking every corner and in the end, we left the top enemy jungle realizing he might just stood invisible in a jungle brush and laughed at us (because obviously he's a stinky rat and has a invisible ability) and HE DID. He showed himself and hit our last teammate because he stood in the last brush we went through. Stinky stinky Teemo. Nevertheless, my friends and I thinking about to start this as a new meta - if they play teemo, we f*ck him up as a team.
As someone who doesn't play either of the games the Wow videos are easy to follow. The Lol videos I'm left confused, but the jokes are still top notch.
I always find LoL videos to just be utterly incomprehensible as well. Of course I also never played LoL but still, that game is very confusing to watch.
This reminds me a lot to World of Warships matches I played. Basically, the game always puts the teams asymmetrically and mirrored by type of ship they play, so I do tend to see a games of 1 Battleship going up against 4 Battleships, get forced to retreat, while our team breaks the other team's side the same way, and then it all comes down to rotation. Then again, Wargaming had to artificially nerf Yamato to the ground, so I can not go solo against the enemy team. Still, I enjoy going 2v3/2v5
If Rav would branch out and play whatever else, we are all about it! Even single player games or shooters. As long as Rav keeps being Rav, then all will be fine. We are fine with 1 LoL video every 3-6 months. Rav is too top tier and grown out of this LoL kiddie pool

This season i had an enemy team pull this off versus my team in E4. They were perma rotating to mid and jungle and had solid prio. With rift they destoried 2 towers mid and opened up the whole map while they had a safe ez playing adc. It was terrible for me as a jungler, but it was impressive.
He's not wrong about the duo top. Back in the day, when Voyboy was still playing with Curse(iirc), like season 3-4ish?, higher elo would do it. I remember it because there was a clip of a Varus/Lulu against Voy as Kha'zix top. They dive him, he levels up and manages to kill them both and teleport to safety while yelling "cya fucking nerds" over his shoulder at one of them that is also living with him in the curse house. It was hilarious and one of my favorite clips.
When I first started playing, I didn't understand why the duo lane wasn't the mid lane. Seeing as it'd be more beneficial to have them there for easier objective play. Support could roam top or bot. Just didn't make sense to me. Still doesn't, to be honest.
It really does make sense, especially when Caitlyn or Soraka can reach the other lanes quickly. Perhaps Pros will say the mid lane is too small for 2 people and it is easier to hit AOE. But l still don't understand how all these rules still are the "Bible", they do seem artificial. And then, you get suddenly flamed for every mistake.
Support goes bot because the ADC goes bot. ADC’s scale off gear more than levels so they need safer farm and care less about sharing xp, and they typically have more escapes than APC so ADC takes the long lane. APC needs levels and has no escapes so they take the solo short lane. Its not all just arbitrary
@@deadspace4755 they are not bible, it is simple: the best average ADC does best when another support is there to help them farm safely. if your botlane carry doesnt have any dashes, its even more important to have another champ to keep them safe. In addition mages that typically were played mid were often immobile as well and also want to be able to farm consistently. This is the base meta and as he mentioned with worlds, its what the top 0.001% of players do to find the most success. Naturally that trickles down to us silver players :P
you also dont see supports mid because again, it is the safest lane that is hard to zone people off of xp. sure your support can roam, but there are only a handful of roaming supports and requires good team coms otherwise your support is just behind in levels and gold while your ADC gets 2v1'd. In a decent game, say you have both mid and support roam together and take objects when they push in can still lead to a extra dragon while the mid laner gets a level advantage and the top/bot that isnt being camped gets ahead. this worked out better when supports were a bag of wards and could 100% know where the opposing jungler was, invade and kill him consistently with the team
One of the reasons why i stopped playing LoL is that every game is 1-1-2+jungler. And if you dare try something different, you get called a troll. Wasnt like that once... the game used to be fun.
I played an aram and got matched with a 4 stack. We didn't have a full on tank so I played Shaco as a tank/dps hybrid going Heartsteel first. Apparently the 4 stack takes aram very seriously and flamed me the entire time for my build despite my doing decently and us winning. Afterwards they mass reported my name as inappropriate and I was forced to change it. I appealed the automated forced name change but was told there was nothing they could do. So I lost the name I've had for the last 13 years because I built Heartsteel on Shaco in aram and 4 people can abuse an automated system.
I used to that with a friend of mine. We would go double top and leave alone that pesky random in the bot lane. But not as you, because I would play Singed, Fiora, Swain. Things that aren't actually support but it did the job of annoying the shit out of the enemy toplaner.
You should check out Bardinette's playstyle if you're looking for something new that works. He plays roaming Bard, Pyke and Ivern top lane in Masters, really fun stuff !

I've had this attempted on me 4 times while playing top and I won all 4 times. A Malphite game, 2 Wukong games (my main), and a Jarvan game. Teemo is a champ that should never be played top so its easy to take advantage of him, but I assure you this method doesn't work on meta fighters (divers & juggernauts).
I do this whenever my adc is terrible I will just walk top and win top then rotate to mid and win that lane, usually turns the potential loss into an easy win.
I miss ancient LoL when you could just play whatever and people didn't care as long as you weren't actually throwing. My friends used to enjoy the game back then too, events were fun instead of cash grab battle passes, and there was an ongoing story instead of a pile of unrelated character factions since the actual 'league of legends' no longer exists in canon.
l believe it is just lazy design. How come they made champions mention summoners(players)? They made a lore about them and suddenly they removed it. l still miss Old Sona lines
I said it when the new JG changes were shown...I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2-1-2 meta where both top and bot sups roam to their respective jgs (maybe with lane) and farm that, and there is no longer a dedicated jungler. There's already so many sup/jg flex picks might as well just make them sup top and let both sups farm jg Shruge
I hate how Rito forces the meta so hard. Before the whole role selection bs and pigeonholed items were a thing, the meta was constantly changing and you could do stuff like this or anything really and people would generally be happy to go along if you explained the plan in champ select. LoL was so much more fun back then, now you basically have to have a full premade for this stuff and forget about the meta ever changing, the game literally makes that impossible now.
There were some MOBAs (Paragon is the one that comes to mine mostly) that was actually designed AROUND having the side lanes be 2v1. Map design had it so the solo had some buffs right in a little safety nook to keep them around longer and not completely trashed. The first tower to fall was usually kinda quick, but it allowed for some really fun fights since since the solo stood a chance and it was standard.
@@oB2KoMariothat was such a fun meta. And still today, dota is way more flexible with different laning setups than league. Well, maybe not the game itself, maybe it's the playerbase. Then again, dota hasn't had dedicated junglers for years now.
4:57 items matter way more to ADCs, just that unlike teemo Sivir was able to be nearby lane enough to obtain way more XP due to there not being a person taking it away.
Well the funny thing is there is a chinese super server strat rn where master yi jungle takes no smite and just goes top with support item and you just perma dive enemy top with double ignite abusing master yi Q to dodge turret aggro. Just tried it with a friend and I had 40 kills 100k dmg 😂

The reason why you don't do this is because the ADC can help kill dragon faster, but like think about it for a second. Can the ADC really out dmg a top laner? I say duo top and have someone in the botlane that can pull off a 1v2 or can farm under tower while being harassed. This way the solo top laner get's their shit kicked in.

It was the meta early season 2,but not so much in solo que,more in teamplay.We used to play yorick/kennen/rumble/vladimir/mao against duo lane,but old pre rework yorick was the most broken 1v2 laner.

I basically created veigar support many years back.... It was worth it, but so not worth it. League is now trashed.
League players avoid responsibility better than they avoid skillshots.
I think is because the game is made to encourage competition instead of fun
The original meta was 2 mid(adc and support) which allowed the support to be equidistant to everyone. It was an awesome time!

It's almost like the only difference between top and bot is a dragon.
…and turret gets extra defenses pre-5 minutes. Which is why the stronger lane (2 people) is against the weakest turret (bot).

This season i had an enemy team pull this off versus my team in E4. They were perma rotating to mid and jungle and had solid prio. With rift they destoried 2 towers mid and opened up the whole map while they had a safe ez playing adc. It was terrible for me as a jungler, but it was impressive.
He's not wrong about the duo top. Back in the day, when Voyboy was still playing with Curse(iirc), like season 3-4ish?, higher elo would do it. I remember it because there was a clip of a Varus/Lulu against Voy as Kha'zix top. They dive him, he levels up and manages to kill them both and teleport to safety while yelling "cya fucking nerds" over his shoulder at one of them that is also living with him in the curse house. It was hilarious and one of my favorite clips.

in dota this has been meta for years, one hard support with the carry and one soft support with the offlane (toplane in LoL)
When I first started playing, I didn't understand why the duo lane wasn't the mid lane. Seeing as it'd be more beneficial to have them there for easier objective play. Support could roam top or bot. Just didn't make sense to me. Still doesn't, to be honest.
It really does make sense, especially when Caitlyn or Soraka can reach the other lanes quickly. Perhaps Pros will say the mid lane is too small for 2 people and it is easier to hit AOE. But l still don't understand how all these rules still are the "Bible", they do seem artificial. And then, you get suddenly flamed for every mistake.
Support goes bot because the ADC goes bot. ADC’s scale off gear more than levels so they need safer farm and care less about sharing xp, and they typically have more escapes than APC so ADC takes the long lane. APC needs levels and has no escapes so they take the solo short lane. Its not all just arbitrary
I thinks that's how league started in the beginning, 2 people in mid and jungle role is voluntary. Roles only started to emerge in s2 to s2.
@@deadspace4755 they are not bible, it is simple: the best average ADC does best when another support is there to help them farm safely. if your botlane carry doesnt have any dashes, its even more important to have another champ to keep them safe. In addition mages that typically were played mid were often immobile as well and also want to be able to farm consistently. This is the base meta and as he mentioned with worlds, its what the top 0.001% of players do to find the most success. Naturally that trickles down to us silver players :P
you also dont see supports mid because again, it is the safest lane that is hard to zone people off of xp. sure your support can roam, but there are only a handful of roaming supports and requires good team coms otherwise your support is just behind in levels and gold while your ADC gets 2v1'd.
In a decent game, say you have both mid and support roam together and take objects when they push in can still lead to a extra dragon while the mid laner gets a level advantage and the top/bot that isnt being camped gets ahead. this worked out better when supports were a bag of wards and could 100% know where the opposing jungler was, invade and kill him consistently with the team

One of the reasons why i stopped playing LoL is that every game is 1-1-2+jungler. And if you dare try something different, you get called a troll. Wasnt like that once... the game used to be fun.
the OG meta is 2 top 1 mid 2 bot, no jungle, then someone decided to solo jungle and leave top alone and it managed to be a game changer.
This reminds me of the time I tried playing Nilah and my xerath support ditched me for top lane and I was against a CC heavy sup…

I played an aram and got matched with a 4 stack. We didn't have a full on tank so I played Shaco as a tank/dps hybrid going Heartsteel first. Apparently the 4 stack takes aram very seriously and flamed me the entire time for my build despite my doing decently and us winning. Afterwards they mass reported my name as inappropriate and I was forced to change it. I appealed the automated forced name change but was told there was nothing they could do. So I lost the name I've had for the last 13 years because I built Heartsteel on Shaco in aram and 4 people can abuse an automated system.
I used to that with a friend of mine. We would go double top and leave alone that pesky random in the bot lane. But not as you, because I would play Singed, Fiora, Swain. Things that aren't actually support but it did the job of annoying the shit out of the enemy toplaner.
Dunno if it was the music or the friendship but this video is a bit wholesome.

to this day I am undeafeated as Jinx Mid. turns out, when you have solo exp, in a 1v1 lane, ADCs can actually do things.

The only way to fix League is to hire staff to look at reports and not automate them, next is remove chat and put a 20 sec timer for any pings.

I was the enemy support in a game like this a couple weeks ago. I just started to gank top and mid and we won lol.
I've had this attempted on me 4 times while playing top and I won all 4 times. A Malphite game, 2 Wukong games (my main), and a Jarvan game.
Teemo is a champ that should never be played top so its easy to take advantage of him, but I assure you this method doesn't work on meta fighters (divers & juggernauts).
I do this whenever my adc is terrible I will just walk top and win top then rotate to mid and win that lane, usually turns the potential loss into an easy win.
I miss ancient LoL when you could just play whatever and people didn't care as long as you weren't actually throwing. My friends used to enjoy the game back then too, events were fun instead of cash grab battle passes, and there was an ongoing story instead of a pile of unrelated character factions since the actual 'league of legends' no longer exists in canon.
l believe it is just lazy design. How come they made champions mention summoners(players)? They made a lore about them and suddenly they removed it. l still miss Old Sona lines
I loved the no jungle meta. The game was just more fun back then. More team fights and the early game was incredibly fun.

I said it when the new JG changes were shown...I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2-1-2 meta where both top and bot sups roam to their respective jgs (maybe with lane) and farm that, and there is no longer a dedicated jungler.
There's already so many sup/jg flex picks might as well just make them sup top and let both sups farm jg Shruge

Before the whole role selection bs and pigeonholed items were a thing, the meta was constantly changing and you could do stuff like this or anything really and people would generally be happy to go along if you explained the plan in champ select.
LoL was so much more fun back then, now you basically have to have a full premade for this stuff and forget about the meta ever changing, the game literally makes that impossible now.

There were some MOBAs (Paragon is the one that comes to mine mostly) that was actually designed AROUND having the side lanes be 2v1. Map design had it so the solo had some buffs right in a little safety nook to keep them around longer and not completely trashed. The first tower to fall was usually kinda quick, but it allowed for some really fun fights since since the solo stood a chance and it was standard.
Hell, Dota went nuts with this for a while. The offlane often had to expect 1v3s back when trilaning with your position 1 was the main meta.
@@oB2KoMariothat was such a fun meta. And still today, dota is way more flexible with different laning setups than league. Well, maybe not the game itself, maybe it's the playerbase. Then again, dota hasn't had dedicated junglers for years now.
4:57 items matter way more to ADCs, just that unlike teemo Sivir was able to be nearby lane enough to obtain way more XP due to there not being a person taking it away.

Well the funny thing is there is a chinese super server strat rn where master yi jungle takes no smite and just goes top with support item and you just perma dive enemy top with double ignite abusing master yi Q to dodge turret aggro.
Just tried it with a friend and I had 40 kills 100k dmg 😂

The reason why you don't do this is because the ADC can help kill dragon faster, but like think about it for a second. Can the ADC really out dmg a top laner? I say duo top and have someone in the botlane that can pull off a 1v2 or can farm under tower while being harassed. This way the solo top laner get's their shit kicked in.

It was the meta early season 2,but not so much in solo que,more in teamplay.We used to play yorick/kennen/rumble/vladimir/mao against duo lane,but old pre rework yorick was the most broken 1v2 laner.
Remember that one pro season where every game was a lane swap. That happened so often that bronze players knew how to macro that correctly.
