Was a pretty cool vid, looking forward to more! Also, I get the feeling that you're actually stuck in elo hell, not just unlucky games. I don't get even near to the amount of experiences you've shown in videos with unintelligent neutered snot slobbering idiots playing Among Us as Impostors to do their best to sabotage their team in my games, and when I do it's usually "soft inting" at most (I'm the same elo as you, just in EUW)

Yeah one of the techniques i used to get out of bronze and into gold as an adc was making sure when ever the enemy support stole one minion i would step back tell enemy adc his support sucks and just let them self destruct into an ff 15, also played every 200 year champ in top and mid because adc is cursed

I played a game yesterday in which my support AFK'd after our jungler flamed her (I even defended her because it was a dumb flame but she left anyway). We ended up winning because the enemy jg and top both AFK'd as well. A very cursed 3v4.

and it doesnt help that as soon as your mmr tanks you cant even learn from those losses anymore because youll almost always get 2 players giga inting. So youll be stuck in the same elo till next season because match making is completely balanced with no problems at all with people trying off meta wondering why its not working when then die while they almost have a jungler who seems to always know what they're doing. Like the adc cant even do what theyre supposed to do anymore because almost everything else is better as a carry then the attack damage carry.

Rav, the beginning section encapsulates what I felt on ranked games since season 1. Every game started with that epic ranked song and players felt they were playing a life or death game.

Yeah I remember painstakingly levelling up to 30. Back then it was somewhat harder to meet idiots as the time before levelling to 30 meant:
1. accounts took way too much time to level so there was less trading
2. if you played until you got to 30 you should at least have a basic grasp of the game
Now accounts go for the same price as a pair of used socks and the matchmaking has to account for the fact that I can play at least half decent which means I have to get a lobotomized gremlin on my team.
on a 10 win streak, reached promos, mutes all for a chill game, 4 man go afk min 15 cause surrender vote didnt go through. Yeah i love that system
let's not forget the relatively new up and down matchmaking algorithm. Where you get a 5 game win streak where you didn't do anything but your team just outclasses so hard the game is unwinnable for the opponent, followed by 5 games where you get 4 lobotomized dipshits on your team with no path to victory. A system designed to get you riding a winners high follwed by an shot off pure liquid rage, both off wich will keep you playing more. Until you burn out and quit ofcourse.

I stopped playing ranked completely after an unlucky 2 days brought my MMR down to a level where it's impossible to climb unless you have a 70% winrate at all times. What a dumpster fire of a system. The account already started bad in placements (which are a complete coinflip) and a few more unlucky games just tanks your MMR. Why even bother playing 100 games trying to fix it in some pisslow elo when I can just buy another account and try again. The worst part is this account is stuck in silver 1, which is a rank I achieved when I started playing the game in S9 and I was 100x times worse at the game and barely understood it. When you get an account like that it's doomed. I've climbed to high gold multiple times with no problem on some accounts and on others it felt fucking impossible. Haven't grinded ranked since shortly after S11 started so hard to say how high I could go if I did. I definitely feel like a much better player than just half a year ago. But soloqueue is about grinding hundreds of games unless you are 4 ranks above your competition.

The way the game pushing for performance is what makes it not fun. All the grind excluded, playing at a high level makes the game frustrating and monotonous since you should only do what is optimal. Additionally paying attention to micro and macro at all times is tiresome and not relaxing whatsoever.
Same reason why I can't play shit like StarCraft on any competitive level. I might get high apm and other game experience but winning in multiplayer usually happens very quickly with some concise and mostly cheesy strategies. It takes the joy out of seeing 2 huge armies battling it out because it almost never happens.
So, if you want to win without paying attention you're insentivised to play broken stuff instead of what makes you have fun. Playing like a monkey and winning is fun for you and frustrating for the other person. And it mostly happens when you play stupid stuff like the windshitters ...

@Mafī Sadly it isn't that easy... I've played on and off since the end of Season One. The game was truly different then, it felt so innovative and unique to play back then! I have LONG quit ranked, you would have to pay me enough to retire just to play Summoners Rift... Now-a-days, due to playing for sooo many years league has become an "Itch that needs to be scratched" so when this erg to play pops up I log in and play ARAMS. Sadly this is slowly slipping down hill... The longer you do things, the more you see, discover, and master. After so long I've acknowledged a competitive side of ARAM that I never knew was there... Strats, tricks, ways to out play, and etc etc. Sometimes a feel that Riot captured lightning in a bottle with this game(hence why people can resonate SO WELL with it), they just couldn't keep the integrity in line as more and more zeros started to appear on the profits margins at the end of the year. Truly makes me wonder what will happen to the people like me when "All good things must come to an end"...

@@JJ-vp5ic Yeah Yuumi players are typically air head no skill players or women, like i hate saying it but its so fucking true. The amount of yuumi players i have had add me who end up to be female are insane. But the ones who aren't are ULTRA toxic fuck wits who will troll the game if their precious champion is banned. Normally i dont get this nunu level troll i get the troll who steals my CS and doesn't actually poke the enemy. Then tries to convince the rest of the team i am the one playing bad because my low CS because they nuke the wave constantly.
This is why i auto ban yuumi now, like every time i get in the game, even if i am mid lane. Ban and hope they have a troll on their team, or ban and see how they react then dodge if i can tell it really is their main.
@@Septemberl4d In one of my recent matches a yuumi support main got auto'd into mid and yuumi got banned anyway so they decided to bitch about it to us then pick ekko since they have never played him before. As soon as they died once it instantly went to shit and for the next half an hour they just went on to complain about the matchmaking, and how broken champs are then decided to feed the whole enemy team by roaming to other lanes saying that we lost anyway so they might aswell end it faster. They went 0/15/3 and safe to say they got x9. Gotta love ranked sometimes.

sad that a lot of other yuumi players do this shit. i think im one of the very few genuine yuumi players who builds her as a support, knows how to play other champs decently, doesnt get mad when she's banned, doesnt go afk, none of that. i only play norms and only do it for fun so its sad to see that even there people are so traumatized they ban her as soon as they see my hover pick. cant really blame em tho to be honest

It was funny, I was on botlane and suddenly see the midlane just frantically pinging us fall back right at the start.
I go away, not really knowing what they are on about when suddenly Nunu comes out of the river with a level 1 gank.
my most played champion on midlane is nunu and i have a 63% winrate diamond IV so I think I'm doing just fine :D

Noone seems to acknowledge just how much responsibility pro players and content creaters had in transforming League into what it is now. If League RUclips hadn't fed for years on "fresh account to challenger" content I think we'd have way less "fresh account but skill-wise challenged" encounters. Being able to register multiple accounts with the same email adress doesn't help either.
The CIA really should utilize ranked league of legends as a form of enhanced interrogation
A few days ago I had a similar game to this. I was playing Hecarim jg and my mid was Ahri vs Galio. Ahri kept dying to their Galio- and Shaco and spam pinged me every time she died. I kept cleaning up kills after her deaths + snowballing the other lanes. When she was 0/7 and wasn't worth gold anymore, she decided to try steal my camps. After failing 4 times in a row, she just ragequitted. At that time, I was hyper fed, we had 3 dragons and the other 3 monkeys on my team were ahead. I was convinced we were winning that, especially once we were 4v5. Then my bot lane decided to die 4 times in a row without using any summoner spells. So we lost Baron twice and 3 dragons off that. I started getting tilted, I was literally winning 1v3 in their backline with only gp ult as a "help", while my team died to Shaco because their summoner spells keys were celebrating a birthday party. Then Ahri came back. It was 35 minutes, and she decided to start giving more kills. She mistimed one death and we sneaked dragon off it. We now had soul. After that, I charged in the 4v5. I catch Shaco off guard, he blinks and tried to kill my adc. I ult him, he gets feared, and then my adc uses flash and my supp used exhaust, which they were saving since season 4. We kill him. I run in the other 4 members, gp ults behind them. I kill their supp and top while my team deals with Galio. We run mid and end the game. The enemy team congratulated us for winning with that 0/12 inting Ahri. Ahri was so upset in the post game lobby, flaming everyone, both allies and enemies. She didn't get lp because she got the afk penalty. We still won and she ended up with some ban (got the notification like 20 minutes after that game). It never felt so good to win a game
To be fair, it quite annoying to be camped and jungle doesn't come to help

My first every ranked game was on Leblanc. I was vs Annie mid, and this was my first time learning about runes and runepages as I got summarily dunked on by somebody who had Full AP Full MR to my nothing. She was chunking me with every spell and I couldn't do any damage back when I tried to trade. Needless to say we got shit on.
Well the old rune system was really shit indeed

I started playing around 2014/2015 too, and the amount of changes that have happened to the game have never felt so drastic until recently. I guess it's cause new players have joined but WOW. On top of so much damage in the game, it seems like people are more determined now than ever to make the game infinitely harder for you. And it's so annoying when higher elo players are like "bUt yOu cAN cARRy" when they mean you can carry ONLY if you play perfectly or dang near it.

I'm unsure as to why trolling has skyrocketed so much honestly. It sucks cause I also remember those days when people tried their hardest to win even in my normals games. I didn't do ranked back then but we always tried our hardest and toxicity wasn't as prominent as it is now. I miss it.. I want to bring that back someday ^^

Rav you're hitting the nail on the head! I've recently quit League of Legends because I realized that they do not care about players like us , they love the players like Nunu who have 5 accounts, and purchase skins on each account. I personally believe Riot is so out of touch with the game's community it's a loss cause continuing to play this game. I love the excitement that a game of League gives you, however it's not worth the toxicity and countless games where you get individuals like Nunu and Irelia. And God forbid you say anything to these people, because the wonderful report system will ban you for being mean, and typing things not "conducive to the game or strategy". The frustration is not worth it, and uninstalling the game has made me happier, while teaching me that no one really gives a shit about what rank you are, so why should I?

On a side note, as a long-time player I regret the "good old times" are gone, I feel like people were understanding the game better back in 2015-ish... Starting from the fact that it is a damn game. Toxicity was there, but right now we are at an all-time high.

This nunu was the most tilting and the funniest thing to watch at the same time . The music really is everything.
I absolutely guarantee you that this Nunu thought he was being a complete chad lord that entire game. He watched some videos on RUclips featuring talented streamers that warned players they were going to gank, then ganked and killed them, amazing everyone.
Then he thought "that could be me, but I'll be dancing before I snowball in as a show of dominance".
In his mind it was your fault for not comprehending the stupendous brilliance of his mind games or going all in with him and his clever psychological warfare is the only reason Irelia didn't 200 years your entire team 10 minutes into the game.
I remember my first ranked game on season 4, I played kayle against zed. It was awesome. Nashor + Runaan melted their team.
Now ranked is just suffering, the playerbase did their best at drinking chlorine instead of orange juice for breakfast and the result is what we can see on this nunu/irelia.
Riots balance + these kind of players actually made the game awful. It's sad because there was a time where it was a great game.

THIS is soo fucking true, i get in ranked and the people playing are like 5yrs olds after a lobotomy and its fucking insane the level of feeding going on
Problem is they have removed the tribunal. Where if you did good you were able to judge players who did crappy stuff. Right know it's just an automatic system helping paying customers, and not punishing but enouraging trolls.
Problem with the Tribunal was that people just kept hitting punish on everything no matter what, so every report that got in had huge punish ratios. At the start it was somewhat even, but as your vote counted for more if it aligned with the majority of votes on a report all of it just got 80%+ punish votes.
Riot needs to actually dish out some punishment with the current report system because even if people are throwing around deathwishes left and right they still wont get banned unless you reach out to customer support directly
@@ragganmore6113 and that is something riot told us, but in reality the tribunal worked pretty nice. I mean I knew some feeders who got punished pretty bad, and has cases of being reported by premades and didn't got anything. The tribunal provided too little info on the game, but otherwise were still better than the current system. The system right know ranks your account based on how much you buy, and defend you multiple ways. You can this bullshit, but you know that is the truth, the tribunal had to go because they had to push inclusivity and defend paying customers. They don't care about game health, they care about money. The algorithm is working to push you down if you don't pay, and defends you if you do.

I remember when i first played a rank match with my ex boyfriend.
Our heimer killed himself all the time because he was agaist a Jax and our jungle was blind as a bat even being a Kayn and only ganked lv 7 or 8. At the end we lose because Kayn never made any objective, if we go to the drag, he stop to do gromp, even if theres a teamfight over drag, he was there, making is jg, only to end up dead by the enemy Karthus jg.
I agree that ranked has become some abomination of a game mode and I am in the process of breaking up with League after 10 years. It is one of the hardest decisions I made, because I really love the concept of the game, but the community went downhill fast since 3-4 years ago and there is not a single hint that things will improve. The intro with how ranked once felt hit hard. I remember the old champion select soundtrack, the drama when you was lastpick and had to fill... and ingame it was such a thrill. I went 0/10 in my very first placements as Leona otp and ended up starting my climb from bronze 5, true OG elo. I remember when hitting Silver felt like getting to heaven and that one dude in your group who was a Gold was treated like he was Faker

as someone who played ranked seriously back in season 7-8, you wouldnt believe the frustration of havinga coinflip botlane feel like as a top laner. I'd win streak to plat 1 then lose streak back to plat 2 just because my teammates wouldn't or could play safe and feed the enemy 6 kills before i even got 2. Eventually I did get to diamond but it killed all of my motivation to play ranked games. Elo hell 100% exists and i believe it when someone says it's worse now because almost nobody wants to play high elo now. people target banning your champs and dodging games because they looked you up in OP.GG leading to queue times for 15-25 minutes so instead they just play low elo.
This right here. I remember getting platinum in my first ever ranked season playing jungle and top I think. Now I never gotten past silver/gold because I simply get loss streak teams or trolls. Some games are even decided in the lobby nowadays where people pick troll champs because they saw it in a youtube video somewhere. People look at meta sites and think they can just pick up the most op champs and get wins all day. I do not play ranked seriously anymore it is no use unless you are really good at the game and can carry 1v9 otherwise you are just stuck in silver/gold unless you no life and play ranked all day and hope you get lucky with promo's.
