I am an Asian lived in the U.S.since 60s and I was born in China. I have dated different races, but mostly white and Latina. I had more luck with Latina because most whites didn't want to date other race. My first wife was Flipina, After divorce, it was difficult to find women suited or marriage in the U.S I discovered paradise in Latin America; Peru, Colombia. I met women there by group tours and in person. Colombian are more educated and more modern than Peruvian. I ruled out Mexico, Venezuela and Brasil because they are not safe. Brasil had many mixed race with blacks. Argentina is racist. I also ruled out Eastern Europe because it was too far. I ruled out Asia because they are all gold diggers, learned from my first wife. I eventually found a wife in Bogota and we have been married for over 15 years.

The ratio thing sucks so much for me. The jobs I want the most are in SF, but I’d like to get married in the next ~4 years. So I have to make a decision between going somewhere with shit ratio like SF, but it’s great for my career vs somewhere like NYC with amazing ratio, but unclear how great it will be for my career. I don’t have issues attracting women so I’d be ahead of the nerds in SF. The quality of men is obviously higher in NYC so there’s that to consider too. Seems that a lot of women in NYC gravitate towards the same men (tall, handsome, rich) and then feel let down they can’t get a long-term relationship.

You just named a bunch huge major metro cities, all much the same. Lots of high value men, hot women with unrealistic expectations and lots of competition. Smaller cities are where its at. Big fish, small pond, like your experience in Brazil. It can be had in the US too, but the areas may not be as asian friendly.

Perhaps a bit skewed due to that. However, Vegas does not have many young local men that are seen as desirable. Lots of tourist, low earning, or unattractive locals according to the women I dated. Vegas also has a high Hispanic and Asian population, where many of those groups' younger gals prefer to date outside of their race. If you are white or black, you have an edge on many local guys already. Ive visited Austin and Tampa and in regards to dating scene I think they would be tough places to find desirable women. Austin is a very fun city however, and I nearly moved there about ten years ago. Unfortunately, it has become very crowded and the homeless problem is out of control. I lived on the Alabama gulf coast for five years and had a wonderful time for many reasons. Its a growing area, but not currently too big or too small. Cost of living is much lower, great food, world class beaches, people are genuine and dating is much easier in a city of 400,000 vs 4 million like Minneapolis where I currently am. I cannot recommend Mobile, AL enough.

Don't know about the US, I've only visited for a holiday. But here in Australia I don't feel I have much luck. Used tinder for a few years and rarely got matches. Dallas and the northern suburbs are solid. My mom had 11 bros & sisters growing up...and all of my male cousins on her side of the family date OR are married to attractive white women here in DFW. It's also more economically diverse than Austin (tech) or Houston (oil OR healthcare only) Ppl are very confrontational in Houston...not to mention Austin is becoming way more insular bc they hate all these thirsty tech transplants making ratios worse too.

Go for SF. If you are already attracting women easily you'll have a big leg up on the techie competition in SF.
